In addition to aerating, he also gave my some free useful recommendations specific to my lawn: an effective herbicide that got rid of the spurge problem I was having, granular gypsum to improve the clay content in my soil, and a grub killer for a particular part of my lawn. He was very personable and friendly, offering his phone number to answer any lawn questions I might have in the future. My 5-year old son enjoyed that Bruce allowed him to aerate the lawn too (both holding on to the handles together :-). Bruce is a good salesman, but not at all pushy. In the same afternoon that he aerated my lawn, he also aerated two of my neighbors' lawns on the same street.

He came the day after I called. He first checked and flagged my interior sprinkler heads, then aerated, fertilized, and swept up all the extra fertilizer and plugs that ended up on the walkways. No sprinklers were damaged. I think I've seen cheaper aeration, but I'm comfortable paying $50. I used a service in the past that was very pushy, calling me all the time. I believe Noah recommends aeration twice per year and will call when it's time to come again, but is not pushy at all.

COMPANY SENT A REPRESENTATIVE OUT TO EVALUATE PROBLEM AND GIVE AN ESTIMATE. RECOMMENDED FUNGUS TREATMENT AND MONTHLY FERTILIZATION/WEED TREATMENT. ALSO RECOMMENDED AERATION AND OVERSEEDING IN FALL TO REPAIR FUNGUS DAMAGE. VERY THOROUGH, EVEN NOTED THAT OUR MOWER BLADES NEED TO BE SHARPENED. SINCE TREATMENT, THE FUNGUS IS NO LONGER SPREADING AND OVERALL APPEARANCE OF THE LAWN IS DEFINITELY GREENER AND GREATLY IMPROVED. OXALIS SEEMS TO BE DISAPPEARING. Powergreen had a coupon in a local coupon book. I called and scheduled them to come out between 9-noon on Sunday. At 10 AM Barry phoned to say he was running late and would get to my house around 1 PM. At 11:30 he called again and said he would make it before noon after all. When they got to my house, Barry checked the sprinklers with a rain suit on, and put flags by each sprinkler. The young men did front and back yards at the same time, and were done in less than 1/2 hour. They were very polite and professional. When they were through, Barry gave me a checklist on lawn care. I asked if I should call back in 6 months. He said he'd send me a flyer to remind me, but if my lawn still looked good to save my money.

Recent Review: I believe they did a good job; they were on time and were professional. However, chunks of soil were left out on the sidewalk and I feel they could have brushed it back in the yard, but other than that, they did good. I am going to use them again and I would recommend them to other people.
