DMH Services LLC

I have laminate countertops and would be happy to replace with laminate even stock laminate. Stock cabinets have an integrated backsplash sothey would not fit my peninsula. So I asked them to price non-stock laminate. Price for a 30sqft countertop? $1622. More than $50/sqft for laminate. I had also asked for a low-end granite installation. $5750! Almost $200/sqft. Pretty insulting. I let them know I wouldn't be using their services.

Artistic Granite Inc

We initially walked into Artistic Granite Inc to get preliminary information on granite options. Nader, the sales manager, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and patient while we looked around the store. He showed us both the quartz and the granite. We came back a week later to discuss his options further after having a not-so-great shopping experience discussing countertops with the sales representative at Home Depot. After showing us the options in his showroom we purchased a beautiful granite and Nader was able to schedule someone to come to our house later that day to measure the counter tops. That was a Monday, we had our countertops in by that Saturday. The whole experience was quick and absolutely wonderful. Quick note: We also used the company's services to get our sink and plumbing installed. The kitchen still needs a bit more work but the countertops have already made a huge improvement. It was an easy process working with this company and we will be calling Nader and David again for some other home improvements as well.

Great experience from start to finish! Measured one week, installed the next week. Installation took four hours and they took old countertops with them. Accommodated my schedule and installed a quality product. Had to make modifications to 21 year old cabinetry to make a good install and did so without extra charge. Easiest home improvement project ever!

This company is definitely more contractor-oriented as opposed to home-owner oriented. Having said that, they came out to my house and measured and had my countertops built and delivered in 4 days. They do not install. My only complaint is that I felt the fee for measuring was a bit steep. The prices for their countertops were competitive with other quotes I got.

ABKA Marble & Granite Inc

After sending out bids to several companies, I chose ABKA because of their (a) price and (b) because two friends highly recommended them. Vadood was my main contact and we corresponded via email throughout the whole process, which made my life much easier. When it came time to pick-out our slab - he was very helpful and made the process pretty painless. On installation day - they showed-up time, removed our old counters, installed the new ones, and mounted the sink in a matter of hours... It looks awesome and I couldn't be more happy - definitely give them a call if you're looking to upgrade your kitchen... =)

The whole process was easy. I called and Ike came out measure for my quote. He was very meticulous in his drawings and measurements. He was upfront about some of his concerns regarding the lay out of our counters. We talked about possible options and he gave me his professional opinion. I agreed that I needed two seams, but he assured me that he would install and line the seams up himself and told me they would be "invisible". Of course my first concern was price and Ike said he would try to work up a quote for the granite I wanted that would fit my budget. Within a few days Tamara sent the quote which was reasonable. We signed and returned the contract and scheduled the install date. They were quick with ordering the granite. They had a distributor close to me where I could see and inspect the slab myself before installation. The day of installation came and Ike showed up with two assistants. They made quick work of removing the old counters and installing the new. Ike did line up and camouflage the seams himself. He did such an excellent job, that my husband couldn't even find them when he got home that day! I was very impressed with the level of professionalism and customer care. Tamara and Ike make a great team. Tamara has gone above and beyond to answer all my concerns before and after install. Ike is definitely a granite artist! Would definitely recommend.

Flintstone Marble & Granite Inc

We noted the adds in the paper for Flintstone's $25-$35/sq foot granite. They showed us the less expensive stones and then we selected a slab. Then we got down to the nitty gritty of negotiating the install charges. We had been looking at Home Depot and some other places for granite and laminate counter tops. laminate was inexpensive at about $700-$800 for the counter, but then everyone wanted $1000+ for the installation and tear out. Flintstone included installation in their basic price of $1800 and did the tear out for $300 and plumbing tear out and install for $250. Basically we got granite for about the same price as laminate! Flintstone installed the granite as two pieces. We had to wait for the plumber who installed our new garbage disposal and hooked everything else back up perfectly within four hours of Flintstone installing the countertop.

The Countertop Guru

Due to budget constraints, we were originally going to install laminate countertops in an apartment I was renovating. However, when Winkel came out to give me an estimate, he said he could do granite instead of laminate for only a few hundred dollars more than the laminate would cost. Winkel came out to give the estimate and was right on time. We agreed on the materials and price and he wrote up a contract on the spot. We scheduled the work for the following week. We had one long countertop, two small countertops next to the stove and a bar top. A tall backsplash was installed between the long countertop and bar top and regular height side and backsplashes were installed with the small pieces. The crew did a very good job of notching and scribing the pieces that needed to be modified onsite. I will definitely use The Countertop Guru again.

Denny & Gardner

This is our first experience with kitchen remodeling and we nearly made the mistake of accepting a cabinet refacing offer from a questionable company that will remain unmentioned. Fortunately, I also got a quote from Norm Gardner of Denny + Gardner and have no regrets. For about the same price as refacing, we got excellent quality maple cabinets, quickly installed by skilled professionals (Carlos and associates) and laminate countertops treated with the same attention to detail. I found Norm Gardner to be responsive, patient, honest, and a pleasure to deal with. I would not hesitate to work with this company again on future projects. Highly recommended.

From beginning to end this was an incredible experience. They have a great selection with unique stone, not what you see everywhere else. Paul was remarkable to work with and the team was polite and respectful. The installers were ahead is schedule, polite, efficient, and cleaned up beyond our expectations. The countertops look amazing and the seam match is spot on. I can't wait until we install our backsplash!

GRANITE EXPO

Great experience. Huge selection of granite in warehouse to choose from. Ayoub is a no pressure salesman who even suggested slabs of granite that were similar but cheaper than what I was looking at. Tim immediately came out to get measurements. The granite was installed in 1 1/2 weeks. They could have done it in a week but I had a scheduling conflict, my fault not theirs. I was worried about the removal and installation of countertops since I had just installed all new appliances a couple of weeks earlier. No problem, not a scratch. The granite is GORGEOUS! I am already recommending them to everyone

They were friendly, helpful and professional, from the time they came to measure and build the template, to looking at options in their showroom. I really liked that they gave us pricing on options above and below what we were thinking and advice on the pros and cons of the options. In the end, their advice helped us to choose an upgraded option (Cambria) over the granite we were looking at, because our intent to use the place as a rental, and it's lower maintenance for only a slight increase in price. The installation was quick and professional and it looks fabulous. We did receive lower quotes for the job, but ultimately, it was clear to us that they really knew what they were doing, and the advice and service was worth it to us to pay just a little bit more.

SST Cabinets & Remodeling

We contacted SST after seeing their "deal" and reading their positive reviews. Mike was super-responsive and easy to deal with. He did a great, careful job helping us turn some low-cost cabinet components into a very functional laundry and storage area. I would definitely consider SST for a variety of interior handyman work.

Blue Isle Granite & Tile

We wanted to update our old-fashioned countertops with granite. Tamara responded right away to my email and Ike came out and measured and asked what we wanted. There was no pressure to choose a higher-priced granite and he was patient with our questions, including about the sink and the faucet. Tamara followed up with two estimates (for the kitchen and pantry separately) and we were surprised at how reasonable the price was and the fact that they provided a discount without our mentioning it. We chose dakota mahogany and they gave us a date of two weeks. Tamara got in touch the day before and Ike and his crew came this morning (right on time). They were simply amazing--Ike is an artist with granite. The countertops are gorgeous, you can't see the seals, and it just flows. The kitchen looks wonderful! I asked Ike to make a small matching countertop for an island that I had bought and within minutes I had a very reasonable estimate of the price. The kitchen was left in s*** and span fashion, the crew helped put back the drawers that we had to take. Ike and his crew were pleasant, courteous, and professional--there was no wasted or down time. I can only say Ike and Tamara are just wonderful--they take pride in their work and it shows from start to finish. A WONDERFUL experience!

We were very pleased with the job from start to finish. We chose the granite counters to replace the laminate ones in the condo because we have placed the condo up for sale and wanted to update our kitchen. We highly recommend this company and will use them again in the future.

Blue Isle Granite & Tile

This was our first experience having granite countertops installed. It could not of gone better. Found Blue Isle Granite and Tile on Angie's. Very pleased from the first contact until the job was finished. All of the communications were very professional and the installation went excellent. We picked out a custom sink that we wanted installed. Other companies wanted extra to install the sink but Blue Isle did not. I was worried that the installation would cause a lot of dust in the house but the team ran a vacuum several times during the day. They also clean up the floors before they left. Here are a couple of tips if you are going to do this type of job. 1. Get a new sink, faucet, and a new disposal. This really made the job go a lot easier. 2. Take out all the drawers and all the items inside each cabinet. We clean the inside of the cabinets before putting everything back and also did a little spring cleaning while we were at it.

Mark and his crew did exemplary work. He obviously takes great pride in his work and maintains a consistent professional demeanor. He showed up on time, and did what he said he was going to do. About a week after the installation, I called Mark to tell him that a rubber gasket on the new cooktop was not installed, and that the factory said that it could void the warranty. I left a message on his phone, and was very pleasantly surprised when, rather than returning my call, he turned up on my door-step within half an hour to install the gasket.
