Now I will tell you they may have change names. There is a small deductible they come and they, it would be your washing machine it can be your refrigerator it can be your stove it's anything electrical in the house any appliances and if you have a problem you have certain phone number you have to call they get back with you immediately which is a really good thing and then they tell you who you are suppose to call to set up the appointment and they always go back and double check to make sure that I was satisfied with the service.

It's a maintenance were I pay a deductible and then if they can't fix it they buy me a new one. they charge me a certain amount every month so it's automatic payment so I don't have regular contact with them unless I need them.

We've got American Home Shield. So that kinda varies but united air temp has done some work for us. Probably a couple years ago, I think so. I think its two years ago. They did work on our air conditioning. Well you know with American Home Shield you only pay $75.00. You sign up for a year , its like something you subscribe to. You call and contact American Home Shield and they have somebody contact you whose in line with their services and agrees to work with them. You pay $75.00 and if its not done correctly for each visit but if they come back twice you don't pay again. Its like 400 and something a year. Its fabulous, its fabulous. If you need plumbing , H VAC, lighting, its amazing. Its worth every dime. And if they can't fix it they replace it at no charge unless you want to upgrade There are some different companies but even when we refinanced our house they had us, no we bought another house in Winchester for our son. And they made us have it in with our policy and they use American Home shield. its fabulous and you don't have to do the searching or anything, If you aren't happy you just tell American Home shield. One time United Air Temp tried to talk us into , they did some plumbing work too, and they were going try to talk us into replacing it with a cheap model. That isn't American Home Shield policy its with the same thing or you can pay to upgrade. Pay the balance of an upgrade. We use it all the time. When my son has issues with his house I tell him just call American Home Shield. They guarantee they will be out within 72 hrs but its usually within 24 hours. We contacted them last week about my son's air conditioning. They came out right away, they had to order something. They had to come back out and they did last Wednesday and they fixed it.

I dropped them. I did some research and found out after we paid what we paid for, that it's really not worth the value. Obviously, they are in the business in making money, and they are making money so I decided not to do that. Availability was good. I believe they are a little high but as far as that industry goes, they are comparable.

The only thing I dislike is sometimes the response time, not with them but from the contractors they use, but that's pretty common with other home warranty programs. So, I don't think that's anything different than any other home warranty programs.

I have been with them now for two years. They do like an online thing of what you need covered and then someone calls you back to talk to you. Everything was done over the phone. I was going to file a claim when I had some sprinkler heads replaced but they don’t cover that in their warranty. So they told me to pay out of pocket and submit the invoice and they will reimburse some or all of the money. I am still waiting to see if they will reimburse me.

I've been with them since I got the house in September 2013. The home warranty came with the purchase of the house just in case I had any problems with any of the appliances or any issue. That's when I had a problem with the heating. That was the first time during the cold winter of I believe 2014 and again I had to use the home warranty again for the heating service in 2015, that's why I had one of those companies when I had an issue with the plumbing. They came out as a result of the home warranty. They also replaced my washing machine that's why Angie's List probably had me down for some other company for the washing machine. So every time I used them they provided the services without any issue so I would recommend them as a home warranty company. It's a pretty reliable service. I didn't have any issues when I had to have things repaired. They sen out people as soon as possible. They always addressed my issues. They called for feedback afterwards to see if I was satisfied with the service. I like the home warranty plan and I will sign up again this year.

I have been a AHS customer for years with very few service calls. However, over the past year or so, I noticed the quality of subcontractors AHS send to the home have been horrendous (missing appointments, habitually latem, poor customer service, and overcharging). One of the last services I had was for my A/C. The subcontractor who AHS hired showed up late then tried to run up costs for an appropriate repair (this was for an HVAC in a home that was less than 5 years old). In the end, it turned out to be a simple $150.00 repair. Because I complained about the quality of subcontractors and challenged the subcontractor that came to my home, AHS sent me a letter to explain they would no longer renew my contract after the current policy period. I called repeatedly to Customer Service and even spoke with the corporate office to ask why they would not allow me to renew my contract. I was repeatedly lied to and told that their costs for repairs outweighed my policy costs. I challenged their reasoning since in the last 7+ years, I have paid them over $10,000 on 3 homes and had no more than $1,000 to $2,000 of repairs (in total for all 3 homes). Each time I offered my numbers they explained that they would have someone review and get back to me. No one ever did and when I kept calling back, they sent me another letter explaining my contract would not be renewed and again, provided no explanation. Instead of appreciating a customer contacting them when the subcontractors they hire (by the way, all of whom, over the past year or so, had poor ratings by several online rating sites) try to rip off customers or waste customers time by not showing up, AHS dumps the customer. The below Cost of service was the average annual cost for the premium I paid for 3 homes (an amount I paid in full every year for several years).

I'm having some issues with them. They charged me twice, once a full annual premium, and then also a monthly premium. They continue to charge me and charge me, and I've had nothing but trouble with trying to get their customer service to resolve the issue. Their service was okay in past instances when I had to use the warranty, however. The biggest problem is with their billing and the customer service related to it.

When we purchased a home the seller provided an HMS warranty for the house. A few weeks after we closed, the central AC stopped working, so we called HMS. They sent a technician out to look at the system and called the next day and said the claim was being denied because the technician reported "there was no way the system was working when we bought the house." I told them it was working when we bought it because we did a walk through the day we closed and it was fine then, and our home inspector had tested it a few weeks earlier. They said the technician said the system was leaking and there was oil all over the drain pan and it looked like it had been there a while. I called the technician and asked him if that's what he'd told HMS and he said all he had reported was that there was no coolant in the line and that he didn't make any estimate as to when the system stopped working. When I called HMS again and told them what the technician told me they insisted that his report to them included that there was oil in the drain pan and on the compressor and that the failure had happened a long time ago. I said the system was working fine the day we bought the house and our home inspector had examined the system and said it was fine. HMS asked me to fax the inspection report, which I did. HMS then changed their story and said the system clearly wasn't working when the inspection was done because the inspector suggested we have the unit serviced and cleaned regularly. I asked the inspector about that and he said that was a preventive maintenance suggestion, not an indication that there was a problem with the system. We got another AC company to come out and look at the system and they determined that the EGR valve had malfunctioned. They also said the unit was brand new and spotless (no oil anywhere) and had hardly been used. It turned out the unit had been installed the previous fall. To cut to the end - after repeated phone calls, faxes, and a threat to report them to the state attorney general for fraud, we eventually got HMS to pay the $450 it cost to replace the valve. All in all we found HMS to be dishonest and willing to change their story repeatedly to avoid paying a legitimate claim.

Price was reasonable. We had a warranty and it was suppose to honor if there was any plumbing issue. They denied coverage when we had a plumbing issue and basically cancelled my contract. They were terrible, they gave me the confidence that they were going to take care of our problem and when we needed them they dodged it and said no. They said it was a preexisting condition and they weren't going to fix it. Therefore I had to spend several hundred dollars out of pocket when I thought I had insurance.

Never even received the actual warranty contract via email as they promised. The generic contract on their website DID NOT match what was promised over the phone. When I called customer service to request to cancel with full refund (as promised in the first 30days) they REFUSED to do so.

The deductible is $100. The quick response was good. There were a couple of things they didn't cover. It's specified. I thought they should cover it but they didn't. One of the contractors they sent out couldn't find the issue. They're very pleasant, polite and helpful. They're in professional uniform.

I've had to use them a couple of times and it was good. They give you like a 48-hour turnaround after you call them to put in the claim. They call after 24 hours. It wasn't bad, but sometimes you need stuff done right away I think. Sometimes when a person comes, they need to order parts and then you have to wait till the part comes. And then I had to take off another day when the part came. That was a little inconvenient. I keep them because it covers everything in your house, all the major appliances.

Recent Review: Their service has greatly improved since I started with them. After you report something, they are good about follow up and checking everything. Some of the people they send out are absolute duds! It's kind of a trial and error on service providers they send. Every once in a while I've had to argue with them when they wouldn't take care of something. They always end up taking care of the issues in the end.
