I got 3 quotes from stagers in our area. They were all recommended to me. I liked her style right away. She knows color, design and what the target-market buyers are looking to see at a new home here (located in downtown Mountain View). Her price was approx 10% less than the other 2 bids. She was very accomodating from the beginning. She made this home look the way I had envisioned it. Stunning! It sold immediately & for higher than asking. Many of the local Realtors use Ciao Bella. Julie is the owner. I was impressed.

Feather Your Nest Staging
5.0
We needed a stager that was budget friendly but most importantly ready to stage for buyers in our price point - the under $1MM set. We were selling our Los Gatos townhome and needed it to look spacious, welcoming, usable, comfortable yet well maintained. This was not a mansion nor did we want it to imitate one. That wasn't what our target buyers would want. It was amazing what they did with jwell chosen touches and rearrangement of items we already had. Voila! Light filled, up to date looking, great energy house! It drew many compliments for how new and spacious it looked. And how comfortable people were in it. Some even hung around just because it felt good to be there. During the month of showing, the touches were easy to keep up - thankfully, nothing overdone or complicated. The team was professional, pleasant, patient and prompt before, during and after. If you are looking for a stager or interior decorator that gets both your needs and potential, give them a call. Gina Carroll is the owner and an absolute delight. Highly recommend!

Natalie and I both work in the real estate industry, so I see Her handy work all the time. My company handles the deep cleaning for new listings and Casa Di Vita come in after us and stages from top to bottom. I alway check out Her staging online or in person and it makes a huge difference in how the house is presented to the market. She has great eye for design and Her prices are competitive. Definitely 5 star Service!

Owner/service provider Yve Betar was rude and confrontational. Even worse, she severely damaged the extensive wood floors in the home, both through careless installation and removal of the furniture, as well as reckless disregard for the damage that furniture with unprotected metal feet would do to the wood floor.

They were amazing. They did an evaluation of what needs to come out of the house for a better appearance to sell it. They were a joy to work with and reasonably priced. The customer service was amazing. The furniture that she rented was beautiful and so was the art work that they hung on the wall.

MAKING A SCENE
2.0
They arrived at their set date and time, and took lots of photos of our house and each room, making copious notes as well. They followed up with an email listing each room, with recommendations on what we should pack and put away. We followed that list to a "T". They returned as scheduled to stage our home, spending about four hours I'm told. We came home to find our home had been decorated with over 30 silk plants, and in a style which could best be described as 1970's French kitsch. The silk plants and flowers were poor quality and poorly positioned. The furniture they did add was also of a style and quality not suiting our home, which is contemporary. The style of prints they selected for the walls were more suited for a funeral home. The worst of it came in the form of a piece of fake plastic cheese cake and champagne glasses filled with raffia in our master bedroom. They returned two days later to remove all of their items, so we could begin again with another stager.

Dazzle Home Staging Company

On short notice, Nellie and Thyra came to our condo, and came up with a plan. They decorated the condo, advised us to stain the kitchen cabinets and provided the furniture, pictures, vases, bedclothes, just everything necessary. We sold in a week due to a large degree to Dazzle.

I contacted Tina after looking up "home staging" on Angie's List. Tina came to the house 3 times. First, to assess my home and help me to determine what furniture should be moved out before the staging. Second, once it was painted and the excess furniture moved out, to determine what she needed to bring in, and finally to do the actual staging. I think sometimes she may not need to do the first visit, but I requested it. There were nothing but compliments on the appearance of the house, and I think it showed beautifully. Tina did a good job of integrating the pieces that she brought in with the furniture and decor that I had. She brought in only about 1.5 rooms of furniture, but quite a number of pieces of artwork and decor. It seemed a bit costly to me, but I still think it was worth it for the final result. Note that I put N/A on whether the cost was as estimated. This is because I failed to ask for an estimate up front, which would have been wise on my part.

Upstage Staging Company

We were very skeptical at first about having someone come in and stage our home prior to selling. Dave did an amazing job with picking out the right paint colors and eye catching furniture placement. We strongly feel that Upstage Staging Company had an impact on selling our home so quickly and for more than what we were asking. Not only did Dave provide us with a picture perfect home he also listened to our concerns and needs.

STUDIO D
2.0
The consult and walk-through was 20 minutes; the designer verbally identified furniture to be replaced. Studio D emailed a contract 2 business days later offering in addition to staging: ? "Design Plan & Furnishings Selections ? Fresh Orchid Arrangements ? Interior Plants and Weekly Maintenance ? Installation, Labor, Delivery & Set-Up of Furnishings ? Removal or ?Breakdown? of Furnishings" Subsequent correspondence with the designer was terse. When we requested confirmation on removing several pieces of we received three word responses, e.g. "Please remove the rug." Studio D provided the recommended furniture except a dresser for our bedroom; they stated the size of the room did not accommodate the dresser they brought. Coincidentally, we came home to find a gouge in our bedroom wall. Studio D blamed the cleaners. We repaired and painted the wall ourselves. The quality of the staging furniture was fair. They were clearly showroom pieces: rugs needed vacuuming, love seat had incidental stains, and the end tables had sticker residue. After the setup, we received an email from the designer cc:ing their bookkeeper stating they had not received a check and payment was due immediately. I followed up via email and phone; our check was with the staging crew who picked it up the day of the staging. The fresh orchid arrangements, interior plants, and weekly maintenance were not fulfilled. The response to my request as to why was, "We use a boilerplate document and I made the mistake of not catching and removing the lines regarding providing plants." I asked for a discount; the designer's response was, "I can have my plant person bill you directly" along with instructions to the staging crew to estimate the cost of additional furniture to accommodate the plants. I called the designer; they were polite, but expressed no inclination to fulfill the contract as written even for items as incidental as flowers. The designer lamented about how little money they were already making on the staging and could not justify additional expense. Completely unprofessional. Subsequent correspondence with Studio D was made through our realtor. We gave them notice we would not be extending our two month term. After the tear down, I followed up with the designer via phone to ensure we would receive our full security deposit. They needed to confirm the furniture status with the staging crew. After a week with no response, I followed up again via email. The designer handed me off to their administrator. I finally reached them several days later and received my confirmation. Epilogue: we replaced the staged furniture with new purchases from Ikea and Cost Plus for $500 less than the cost to rent.

I design spaces

They have good ratings but I would not use them again because the communication was really bad. They have a cheap price but she doesn't return phone calls and read e-mails. In terms of their staff, some of them are old or ugly like a coffee table that changed color and so I used my own coffee table. She doesn't keep her record that she forgot to charge me. When they filmed me, I told them to remove the staging.

Nurturesource Designs

Gary Faber, the owner of NurtureSource Design, is not cheap, but he delivered and the money was well spent. He has strong aesthetic abilities, which he can apply, mercenary-wise, to making a home sellable. More than other stagers, he undertakes remedial work, such as (in our case) removing distracting cabinets, replacing kitchen countertops, etc as his first step. He studied the home carefully. Later in a meeting he gave a detailed and very clear list of suggested improvements. He carefully explained everything, during which it became apparent he is knowledgeable and practical. The before-and-after pictures were remarkable. Good job, Gary.

JULIE JAY HOME STAGING
5.0
Julie Jay Staging was amazing - from beginning to end. We loved working with Julie and have recommended her to everyone we know looking for resale preparations (and for design help - she does 2 hour home design consultations too!). On our first meeting, she spent quality time with us suggesting ways we could best prepare our property for resale. She helped us with choosing interior paint colors, suggesting inexpensive window coverings and even gave us some landscaping ideas! This was before she even she delivered one piece of furniture. As promised, her team arrived on time and with the most fabulous pieces - couches, chaise lounges, tables of all sizes and shapes, paintings, lamps, beds, beautiful throws, live plants, the list goes on - we couldn't believe the amount of time and effort she put into making the place look fantastic. When our home sold in 10 days with multiple offers, we know Julie's team deserved a great deal of the credit! Even when it was time to move out the furniture, her team was super clean - not a scratch or scuff to report. I can't recommend Julie Jay Staging enough!

Ms. Powers provided the staging for the sale of my house in January. At the time I thought that Ciao Bella was quite expensive but I was pressed for time. Also pressed for time immediately after the sale I asked if I could rent the furniture for another couple of months. She said yes and guaranteed that she was offering me a lower price that CORT furniture. I later phoned CORT furniture for a quote and discovered that Ciao Bella was almost twice the cost of using CORT. I ask her for a refund of the difference and she refused. She later refunded part of my money, after being very verbally nasty to me, but never refunded all of it. I would never use Ciao Bella services again or recommend them.

Did you know?

If you’re planning to put your home on the market, staging it will help you close a sale 88% faster.

Why? Staging makes it easier for potential buyers to picture themselves living in your home. Sellers can disguise awkward-looking rooms and spaces by staging them in an attractive manner. And because most buyers start their home search by looking through online listings, staging allows you to post attractive photos.

How to hire a home stager near you:

Use the above list of nearby home staging pros to find the best in your area. All of the reviews and grades are free so you can quickly find the top companies. Be sure to get three estimates for a competitive price, but if you feel comfortable with a company, read a few of their online reviews before getting started with contract signing.

Two tips for staging your home:

  1. Identify the most relevant rooms to stage. Staging is all about drawing attention to specific areas of the home. Decide which rooms will be the selling point of your property (such as the living room, kitchen, and master bedroom) and prepare them for staging. Also make sure you stage any awkward spaces- such as large, empty areas or tiny rooms.

  2. Focus on walls and clutter. De-cluttering is the most important step when staging your home. Remove all clutter from targeted areas and make sure everything is clean and neat. You should also add some life to plain walls by hanging a few pictures (to make it look homely) or using a lively paint color.

How much does home staging cost?

Many home staging services charge $300-$600 for an initial consultation, followed by a monthly fee of about $500 per room, per month.
