We are very pleased with the work Lee Tavare and his assistant, Manuel, did in replacing our old redwood deck with a new one. They did a great job and were willing and able to repurpose some of the old deck’s railings’ wood into the new deck’s railings. They also fixed up our arbor, which was on the perimeter of the deck. After the rainy season, they returned to stain and seal the deck. Easy to work with and conscientious, they finished our job on schedule and on budget. We highly recommend them.

I called Todd and asked him to look at replacing my old redwood deck. I had found a very nice composite decking and asked him to install it with new framing. He suggested that we look at different deck designs before we committed to a pattern. I ordered the decking material and his crew started to dismantle the old deck and haul it away. He had not installed this decking before and it came with deck clips so there were not fasterners on the surface. He researched the installation of the deck from the website of the manufacturer and had his crew start installing it. It took about 7 days to complete the installation and the finished work looks great. His crew is very professional and don't cut corners on materals for framing or finish work.

All Pro Deck
All Pro came, reset ALL the nails, sanded all deck surfaces and the top of the railings, power washed the decks, top surface and bottom, and then applied two coats of deck sealer. They found one rotted board that they replaced for a slight additional fee. They moved heavy planter boxes off the decks, and then came back several days after the project to re-position them. Quality of the work was excellent. We were very pleased, and would recommend them.

I used Jack's Decks to replace my old deck. After receiving several estimates from different deck builders, Jack's estimate wasn't the lowest though not the highest. Cuevas Lumber & Fence
Based largely on reading a review on line, we asked Cuevas to bid on the deck that we needed to replace on our new home. It was clear that Cuevas had a lot of experience, and while they didn't usually work up on the Peninsula, our deck project was big enough that they submitted a bid (quickly, and by email, which were both appreciated). The combination of a reasonable bid and the professionalism demonstrated in our first meeting convinced us. The work on the deck started a few weeks later. The crew that worked on it was polite and efficient;lots of fun to come home and see what progress they had made. We had the deck built with ipe, which is a Brazilian hardwood that Cuevas showed us. We're very happy we went with it, and Cuevas has a lot of experience working with the wood (it's very hard, so has to be pre-drilled). The deck was finished right before Thanksgiving, and it's gorgeous. We're really thrilled to have such a beautiful deck.

Recent Review: Joseph and his crew built a beautiful deck for us, at cheaper than we expected to pay. They also built a fence and poured concrete which turned out well. We hired them again to replace a baseboard in our Craftsman home, and they did it and matched the style. They also installed a pedestal sink for us and a new dryer vent.
