Very thorough and friendly. Spent almost half a day finishing job because they ran into electrical problems with my older system. But, they stuck through it and made sure the job was completed satisfactorily. Answered all our questions about the new system to our satisfaction.

They went in there and the only thing they did was braced it and put some Freon in it. I had to come back a month later and get it redone.

Sometimes Spouse

Recommendation I have had Sometimes Spouse to my home on four different occasions. The latest was to install under kitchen cabinet lights and a new kitchen fan. The workers were friendly efficient and knowledgeable. And they even help me put back my dishwares, etc. I would recommend them to anyone having any work done anywhere anytime

Steve evaluated our furnace and discovered several areas that needed work because of improper installation. He installed the door for filter, which had been sealed shut. He then created a door for the slot into which the filter had been forced. He sealed this with tape, painted duct paint on this repair, and then sealed and painted other areas that were leaking air. He inspected the attic heating vents, then changed the directions of the vents in the house. He did this work after going to my daughter's house to inspect her furnace. He did the analysis thoroughly and even noticed that she was missing a cap on the roof of her home, causing rain damage. He was amazingly thorough and had a very good work ethic.

I called this provider for an estimate on repairing a poorly performing heat vent on a pier and beam home. Scheduling was simple and the technician was professional and arrived at the scheduled time. He crawled under the house and looked at the furnace in the attic. Within 7 minutes (for $40) he determined that we had a damaged piece of flex duct (aprox 8 ft section) under the home. The area was directly under the access to the crawl space and easy to get to. The estimate was $450. I priced the materials at the local HVAC store for $52 to complete this job myself. I haven't had time yet but can't justify spending almost 8.5x the materials cost to do this job. I guess I should have been an A/C technician. $900 an hour is a great living.

Eugene from Action Heating and Air came to our house as a response to a claim to our home warranty company. We had just purchased our home and the furnace was under warranty, but was not working properly. After 5 service calls, it was finally determined that we needed a new furnace. The warranty company again sent Eugene from Action Heating and Air to our home to replace the furnace unit. My husband and I know very little about forced air units. Apparantly, when a new furnace is replacing an older unit, it is customary to check and clean the coil as it will be exposed during the exchange and at that time you can determine if it also needs to be replaced. (it is normally not as easy to access when the furnace is attached) When our unit was replaced he did not check or clean the coil and this was the equivalent of pulling out a car engine and not replacing accessed worn belts. Our air conditioning unit labored all summer because of the dirty coil (we thought it was just the heat) and our new furnace kept shutting itself off because of the strain the first time we tried to use it. We are now waiting to have someone else come in and evaluate if we need a new coil or if cleaning it will suffice, but in the meantime, we have no heat even though we have a new furnace. We feel that this was very disreputable on his part. He knew we had just purchased the home and were trying to repair or upgrade what was needed in the heating and cooling systems. Having come from the land of radiant heated floors and swamp coolers, air conditioners and forced air furnaces were not something to which we were accustomed. I would never recommend him and his sloppy workmanship to anyone.

They have been awesome. They honored a discounted rate for me on 3 different properties and they have been very quick to respond to any work request or even estimates that we’ve asked for. They’ve been very communicative. I count on them when they say they were going to there and the work is done of great quality.

Absolutely awesome!!! Wed before T Day called and operations manager made call that day. Now what company does that? One that cares about the customer (and first time customer that was a fair distance from the provider). Thorough, competent, and professional. Best service experience in at least 10 years. They took time to explain everything and future possible issues with the system due to age. Will use Spencer any time there is a HVAC problem. Further, will tell everyone about them in a very positive light. Old adage bad service everyone knows, well New Adage is great service everyone knows. And they are New Adage.

It was a great help that Robert went to Home Depot to purchase the vent covers. This is usually my main obstacle. I don't know what to buy and don't have time off work to do so. This group is very low key and at the same time they get the job done. David was able to caulk around the vent covers to make it all look beautiful.

Recent Review: I've been using Custom Heating and Cooling for over a year now. The company is very responsive and easy to work with. I've had them turn on, repair, and winterize my swamp cooler. They are very good about letting you know which components will need replacing in the next year or so, which allows one to budget for inevitable repairs. You can't beat the price for the turn on/off service when using an Angie's List voucher. Everyone I've dealt with at the company has been friendly and professional. I'm very pleased with their service.
