The beginning of the service great however after the completion of the project that's when the problems started occur. My walls and flooring started to buckle and mold was appearing on my walls that was in 3 months after the completion of the project. I contacted him as soon as the problem occurred however no response (4th month). The problem is now affecting my health due to the increase mold which is from not a proper foundation (no facial board or siding was implemented) and the flooring is continuing to buckle as well as walls. I contacted him again and they insisted that I purchase some items to fix the problem temporary vs arranging a meeting to see the problems or even provide a solution. I hope this information is helpful.

Paul the carpenter came around 9:30 am and started to unload his truck. He built the entire shed in 8 hours which is quite impressive given the attention to detail he demonstrated. I was home that day and was able to watch. Paul had his son helping him. He installed a window, a ramp and a 10' x 2' loft. The shed came with upgraded premier package. Very nice quality trim on the outside. It's all PVC and wont fade or rot. The siding came primed on the outside with a nice tan color. I'm extremely happy with the results and it was worth the 7 week waiting time!

We chose a pricey option, hence the lower grade in that category. My other cavil is that, on the first day of a two-day project, they showed up several hours late. The crew was professional, friendly, and helpful when they did arrive, and they did a very good job of removing the old structure and assembling the new one. I would recommend them again.

I contracted with them with the barn, but then, they also had a subcontractor that did the building and everything else. Scheduling was a little problem afterwards. It was a little bit delayed. I think they could have been on-site better to oversee the project.

Provider consistently showed up when scheduled, worked until job is done, maintained contact with property owner as to what was desired in work and progress, quotes for work never changed - price estimated was what was charged. Provider is dependable, honest and consistently exhibits good work ethics. Leaves property clean and no trace. Repeat customer, will remain repeat customer.

The craftsmanship and the quality of the shed is great. It was built from scratch and the job was finished within a week. The communication was not the best when we were setting up the job; we kept trying to get in touch with him and it was difficult to do so. Other than that, everything went fine.

He is fantastic. He is very honest and straightforward. If you have an idea, he will do the idea. If you ask him for his ideas, they really work. He is very creative.

Very pleased with our experience with Affordable Sheds in the construction of our 16' x 10' shed. The actual construction was preceded by two site visits: first, a very thorough discussion of our requirements, after which the builders double-checked our city's regulations to ensure our plans would meet code. The carpenter attended the second visit and reviewed in detail the specifications we'd developed, and also provided many good suggestions which we chose to incorporate into the final design. The builders ensured the shed's siding and roofing materials matched the house. Everything was done on schedule: all appointments made were kept and they started and completed the project on time. We were extremely satisfied with the company's thoughtful and thorough process, and would definitely use them again in the future.

The experience was excellent overall. I would recommend them to anybody! They were very responsive, showed when they said they'd show up, and did exactly what was asked of them to do. Their price was on the upper end, but the quality of the work was well worth the price. The crew was very well-mannered and professional, too!

They came out a built a custom shed for me after one of the neighbor's trees fell and crushed my existing one. They built a barn style shed for me that was roughly a third bigger than the one before and it costed me roughly $4000. I'm very pleased with it, they were prompt, they came within my budget, they were lower than a couple of the competitors that I looked at and they did good quality work.

I needed a replacement for my 23-year-old Heartland shed. Based on Angie's List reviews, I went to Affordable Sheds to determine if they had what I wanted. The people at their site were very informative without being pushy. When Doug Lewis, the owner, came to my house to make final arrangements, he also was very helpful with suggestions, without pressuring to up-sell his products. I decided to go with the premier package, vinyl siding, and a vinyl privacy lattice. I have a sloping yard, which meant I also needed leveling blocks and a long ramp. In fact, I contracted for a 6' ramp, but after putting up the shed, Bruce Elmore (the installer) recommended to Doug that for safety purposes (more gentle slope), it needed 8', which they installed at no additional cost. The price also included the tear-down and removal of the old shed, which was not an easy feat. Doug had allowed a week for the entire job, but Bruce completed it in 3 days. I had the opportunity to observe him at work, and he showed great craftsmanship and attention to detail. He left the yard in pristine condition. All the people I dealt with at Affordable Sheds were courteous and professional. For the price, I believe I received a great quality product.

The sales location has a great inventory of all the styles they can build. The salesman was very knowledgeable on the options, site preparation, and how the installation would be done. I left with booklets and a price sheet. The quality is impressive and there are many more options on things like windows, doors, roofing materials and other architectural details than you'd get from places like Home Depot. These are lovely backyard structures that don't look like inexpensive sheds or mini-barns and are very well-priced. In particular, the roof pitch is steeper and looks more like a house and less like a nearly flat-roofed shed.

We couldn't be happier! After spending several weeks comparing the sheds at Home Depot & Lowes, as well as several other big national and regional players, we luckily stumbled upon C&R. We ended up with a better-built shed, with better lumber & materials, for several hundred dollars less than we'd have paid elsewhere. Scheduling was easy, with communication over email and phone. The work was done over the course of two days by the owner, Ray, and his brother. At the end of the project they left the site perfectly clean. We were so satisfied with the work Ray and Rick did on the shed that we're using C&R to do an upcoming master bath remodel as well!

They do mostly outdoor Bobcat work and some construction. They do handyman work. They give me ideas with different variations of how to fix things in an expensive or cheaper way with the pros and cons of each. They are consultative. They do good work and are flexible when they can do the work and they work with my schedule. They return calls and they are responsive. They work with me to come up with solutions to my issues. They also did a foundation for a couple of portable sheds.

While obtaining county permits we were told that the shed was required to have 2X6 beams the length of the roof. Beiler's worked with me to upgrade the shed to county code at no extra cost. Beilers recommended Abundent Life Landscaping to install a good foundation to protect our investment and prevent structural and water damage. The foundation is 6" of gravel surrounded by landscape timbers. THe shed was placed on the foundation with a remote control devise so that the tractor trailer did not have to pull into our yard. Everyone I dealt with at Beiler's was knowledgeable and professional. You can see the remote device in the pictures and the beautiful end result product.

Considering the price I was very very happy with this shed. We have a small yard and I wanted something that looked nice since we will always have to look at it. I was looking at another wooden shed at Home Depot for about $2,000 and the reviews said that the kit came with some wood rot. I was concerned about that and we ended up going to capitol sheds instead. For only $1,000 more we got the exact size we needed and we were able to customize it a bit and pick out doors, shutters, color etc. They were very good at telling us what would be an extra cost and how much. Of the $3,000 spent I think $500 was them putting it together so compared to the shed at Home Depot I think we only paid about $500 more for exactly what we wanted vs. something in stock that was so so. We liked them so much we recommended them to my in-laws and I think they are going to have a barn built by Capitol Sheds. Really nice people and love the fact that they are closed on Saturday but open on Sunday. Also between order and delivery we only had to wait a few weeks which was not bad.

Contacted Backyard Shed & Deck for a complete removal and rebuild of a shed destroyed by a previous storm in the summer. I could not have asked for better quality and service. Mike came out and gave the estimate and set the date which seemed far out but once he explained I was more than happy to book the date as I knew exactly what I was getting. Dealing with the office was such a pleasure and the all the staff are very nice and courteous. The job is completed and we are very satisfied with the work and the workers I would definitely recommend this company for any job.

Mark and team did a wonderful job of reconfiguring and designing our basement. Our project involved removing load bearing columns and installing an i-beam to give the space a better flow and moving plumbing lines to optimize open floor plan. From the start, Mark understood the design we wanted for the space. While other design/build companies came in with designs that kept to the same blueprint of the existing layout, Mark was the only one to give us the open concept we desired. He helped us with every selection of the process from the flooring to the glass door knobs to the vintage pocket door that we hung on barn door hardware. He also accommodated personal details we wanted for the space including keeping an exposed beam, taking an old farm table and re-purposing it for the powder room vanity, turning an electrical panel wall and disguising it as a clever chalk board. The entire process was very collaborative and customer service was excellent. Right after the completion of the project, we had to have some emergency repairs done on our garage. They came in the next day and put up necessary repairs and secured the area during their very busy time in their schedule. We have been so pleased with our basement - it is definitely a source of pride in our home and we have received many compliments. They are not the cheapest company you'll find but you do get what you pay for and we definitely feel they brought a lot of value. Thanks Capital Area Construction!

Mr. Cunningham agreed to prepare architectural plans, process the building permit application and provide follow-up consultation during construction. The plans were well organized in layers with sufficient detailing to visualize fabrication. Construction proceeded as per plans. Mr. Cunningham inspected progress at critical times. He was on site to: establish footer elevations; verify structural bearing points; detail steel beam connections; clarify structural framing details; locate stairway opening, and in general assuring adherence to the plans. We contacted Mr. Cunningham again to make the revisions and necessary modifications to be permitted as a residence. Our new mixed use building had to be re-designed to meet the International Building Code, IRC 2003. The new loft apartment now includes: 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen, living/dining area, and a laundry. We are pleased with results and would consider Mr. Cunningham for any future construction or remodeling work.
