Exteriors of CT LLCOur relationship with Exteriors of CT started in 2018 when I first moved to CT and needed the windows replaced in the house I just purchased. I met with 3 companies and got 3 quotes, Exteriors of CT wasn't the cheapest quote, but that was because they included far more in their quote. They not only replaced all of our 28 windows (including the removal of old storm windows) but they also replaced our rotting trim and vinyl wrapped it to ensure it looked amazing and wouldn't rot again. While they were working on my windows a storm blew through and my roof started leaking so badly it was flooding my kitchen. The Exteriors employee at my house that day actually climbed onto my roof and applied tar to the leaking area to hold me over until I could afford to replace my roof! Naturally I hired them to replace it a year later! They did such an amazing job on both my windows and roof that in 2021 they were the first company that I asked for a quote from for vinyl siding. I again got 3 quotes and Exteriors was only 2K higher than my lowest quote, but they again had included more. Of course I hired them for my siding job too. They had to remove a massive amount of old cedar shake siding, replace a large amount of rot, retrim all the windows they had just trimmed in 2018, and my house couldn't look better! I had MULTIPLE people stop when they would see me in the yard and ask me for the name of my siding company! I happily referred them to Exteriors of CT. It's been 6 months with our new siding and we couldn't be happier.- Kim M.

Sensible Home ProductsMy wife and I walked by a house in our neighborhood on our walk each morning for two weeks noting how meticulous the crew was. Our siding project had been on our home improvement list for far too long and I snapped a photo of Sensible Home Product’s sign and gave Jeremy a call. He responded quickly and set up a time to come over to meet us and our house. He didn’t know it at the time, but it was already his “job to lose”. He did not disappoint and only confirmed what we believed was a company that took pride in their work and used high quality materials that would stand up to the test of time in our harsh New England weather. He checked in with us from time to time as our project’s start date approached and covered seemingly all possible details with the focused objective of ensuring we would be satisfied with the result. We couldn’t be more delighted with how he and his team transformed our house! It did sincerely feel like we were doing business with the Sensible Home Products Family. I don’t know how he does it frankly, but whenever we had a question, Jeremy was always responsive and ensured every detail was addressed. In a world where we often “get what we pay for”, Jeremy and his team far exceeded our expectations! Sensible Home ProductsI knew when the man dropping off our dumpster at the beginning of our project said “just wait until you see what Jeremy does with this house. It is going to look amazing. You’re not going to believe it,” that we chose the right guy. The DELIVERY man. This sentiment, that no one will do a better job than Jeremy, echoed throughout the process with every trade that was involved, from the roofers to the man installing our new garage doors. He took our home, which was nice but dated, and turned it into something that we are in awe of. Every time my husband and I pull up in the driveway we have an ‘I can’t believe this is our house’ moment. Before it was even completed we had neighbors stopping us while we walked our dogs to tell us how beautiful the house was turning out and asking for his information. Jeremy went above and beyond on our behalf with our insurance company, getting us the full and proper replacement value for the damage to our home after a tree fell during a storm. He misses nothing, and I mean nothing! His attention to detail is exceptional and he communicated with us about every minute detail throughout the renovation process. He was always available, day or night, and would take the time needed to make sure that our questions were answered and our needs were met. The workers showed up on time and always exactly when he said they would, a detail my husband especially appreciated. Jeremy is the consummate professional and his work, his skill, his vision, and his product are unparalleled in the market and you would be hard pressed to find any contractor that would do a better job. They're very nice people when you chat with them but it's been a month and we haven't even been able to get an estimate for our project. The first few rounds of phone calls were timely but after that, we got ghosted. Multiple calls weren't returned and booked appointments were missed with no follow-up. Someone finally arrived to look at the roof and promised an estimate and two weeks later we've heard nothing.

Job was handled beyond expectations. All pre-job questions and concerns were fully addressed in a professional and patient manner. All materials, including extra material just in case, showed up the day before. The crew showed up exactly on time the next morning, and then the roof and skylight was stripped and replaced on the same day. Yard was cleaned up fully. Gutters were replaced on the next day. Crew was amazingly hard working and the project coordinator was onsite as needed to keep everything moving along smoothly. All team members were respectful, courteous and fully addressed any questions.

The person from AQR&S showed, was pleasant, first of all told me what a total roof replacement would cost, it was the highest estimate I had received so far. There was one leak, over one room, and that's all I needed to be fixed, entire roof replacement was far too expensive at the time. The AQR&S person said, "we're not the cheap guys".....and by the quote he gave me, they definitely are not the most economical place to call for help. Next was, so how much to fix the spot that's leaking? He had gone up on the roof, came inside the house, saw where there was a leak and then told me, the price to fix it...... $550.00 I was a little surprised but he said there was "a list" of prices he had to follow. Really??? Well, maybe but quite obviously this company gets every nickel they can. He left, went to Home Depot, spent maybe $25. at most, came back and he and another guy went up on the roof, took maybe 15 min. or so and AQR&S was paid $550. ! Sorry but I think that's kind of expensive for the little bit of material that was used, the short time it took to put it up, and......the repair lasted less than a year. I initially called AQR&S mainly because of their commercials on tv and should have done what I usually do, LOOK at reviews online. I see some of the reviews on Angi's website are less than glowing.
