JP ConstructionJP Construction was a great choice. Jon (owner) came out on two different occasions to understand the scope of the project and answer all our questions. He was punctual and very knowledgeable. The contract, invoice, and payment process are all electronic and easy to use. The crew was fantastic and have been working with JP for 10+ years. They were friendly and genuinely wanted us to be happy with the job. Our project included a lot of detailed trim that we wanted to match from the original 30's construction and crew lead worked with us to find the perfect solutions to ensure we were happy with the results. The contractor had to be prodded twice to arrive, and draw up a quote. Stated he would email a quote, and didn't. After asking about the quote again he claimed it "failed to send." He never offered to just tell me. I told him I'd find a different contractor. He's unprofessional, disorganized, and unreliable.

I contacted Ferguson as one of the first contractors I reached out to for my bathroom and kitchen remodels. I selected Ferguson because they are located near me and I wanted to give locals my business. Jeremy's wife, Julie, was in touch promptly after I reached out and sent some helpful information along before our appointment. I appreciated that. Jeremy came by our place to do our estimate. He was a ball of energy. That also means that he talked over me as I explained what I wanted done. I overlooked the interruptions because it seemed he understood what we wanted. At the end of the meeting Jeremy said it would be a couple of weeks before he could get a quote to us because there had been some flooding (?) at his place. Two weeks rolled by...and then a month... and no estimate. In the meantime, I had several other contractors come by-- and the better ones gave me a timely estimate. I hired one of the other contractors who followed through. I am disappointed that I wasn't able to give Ferguson my business since I wanted to hire someone locally. Their loss!

We hired Brightwing Exteriors to construct a very large deck, a long section of cedar privacy fencing, and some other custom carpentry. Our deck was an extra challenge because the decking was not the usual pine but was Trex Select composite decking. I cannot say enough good about the expertise and integrity of Cole Cooper, Brightwing's Project Manager. This project was completed on time and for the quoted price.

The work went great. I found a water stain in my ceiling after a recent storm, and I wanted to get the repair done before the next rainstorm in the forecast. I spoke to Alex, and he showed a real interest in getting the job done and asked for any pictures that I had that could help him assess the job. He was able to help me out and get the repair done right away. He even showed me that there were some exposed nailheads (that should have been sealed by a previous contractor but weren't) and took care of that as well. The price was competitive (I quoted with another roofing company), and I am very satisfied.
