Carlos and his team were on time, perfectly priced, and extremely professional. I recommend MTR to all our friends needing pretty much anything in their home done. Previous to this last time, he's also done a ton of work on our rental property to make it more modern and desirable.

Company was responsive with estimate, and Bryan the repairman was punctual and worked quickly. Though the grout is not an exact match (i.e the location of the repair is obvious), in happy it's fixed and understand. It is difficult to get it exactly right.

Looney's Tile & Grout

This is the second time that I've used Looney's. Like the last time the whole process was handled well and professionally. Everything was well done. The estimate process was quick and straight forward and the scheduling was easy as well. For all the work I received ample notice of the timeframe when the workers would arrive, and they usually arrived at the early end of the scheduled time. The work itself was done over three days and they paid attention to the details, to the point where they came back to fix a issue that was not up to their standards, and before I noticed.

The handymen, Rene and Sung were polite and professional. They did a great job repairing several bathrooms- caulking and replacing grout in showers and bathroom floors. They were also able to remove a cat door from two of our doors. They did an excellent job of filling the holes with wood, sanding, and repainting so you now can't even tell there were cat door cutouts at one time on those doors.

Betz Enterprises

Nice enough service tech from Betz, identified where the leak was in the whirlpool bath tub, but was unable to fix the leak with two tries ($120 per visit). Betz offered to come out a third time, but what's the point? Called another whirlpool tub repair service. He confirmed the location of the leak, showed us how the previous repair would never be water-tight, and then fixed the leak in less than an hour. Tested under pressure and all is good.

Helping Hands Handyman Services LLC

I called the owner, Nelson, to perform multiple types of repair items from fixing non working electrical outlet, to fix leaking toilet, to replace lamps , to paint exterior of the TH to address items identified by the buyer in the home inspection. Nelson was very prompt and punctual and helped me meet a very tight timeline for the sale. Weather was not cooperating but he adjusted his plans to ensure the work could still get done in a timely manner to ensure that the buyer was happy with the work and the closing date did not have to move. I was pleased with the work and will highly recommend them for your house work.

They did an excellent job fixing the chip in the tub and spraying the tub as well as the tile in the bathroom. Everything looks brand new. They save me from purchasing a new tub for this house sale. I would definitely recommend them.

We purchased a coupon for $402 for a handyman for 6 hours. During the estimate, I was given a list of supplies to have on-hand when the handyman arrived. The handyman that did the work, Cesar, was very efficient and quickly identified the reason for our drywall damage, which was that water was unable to drain after it entered through the window. He did an excellent job on all the tasks assigned, which also included new caulking and drywall repair. He was also able to start some work on our exterior door frame in the additional time left-over.

JW Home Improvement

I'd originally purchased a deal for one handyman all day to take care of a few "Honey Do List" items before things had gotten out of control. When the estimators came to assess my needs and provided and LOE, it looked like it would take one person at least 2 of 3 days to do the work. Since I wanted to knock it all out in one fell swoop, I purchased an additional handyman for a whole day at regular price. To be honest, one of the two men that was sent to work on my house (I believe his name was Melvin) was not up to par. I was not pleased with his work or his efforts. He showed up an hour late and had no attention to detail on anything he did. After my comments and observations, the other handyman had to run behind him and fix it. There were cracks in the ceiling that he did not repair and simply painted over. He replaced the security latch in a crooked and unstable manner. He'd gotten the white ceiling paint on my walls. When he ripped the tarp off of the ceiling/wall, he ripped off paint and it looked like an eye sore. He also was a poor planner and had to leave the house twice to make Home Depot runs for supplies that I was charged for and he took with him when he left. I was not happy with him at all. His co-worker, Barnaby, in contrast arrived promptly and everything he did was done well. I had no complaints with his work. When they left, I paid my bill but was not happy. I emailed pictures, called back, spoke with a representative. They agreed to send someone out to repair the work. This is what I truly appreciate about JW Home Improvement. At no point and time did they make me feel like my expectations were unrealistic or that I was being too picky. They also didn't charge me for any subsequent visits to correct the issues or things that were to be repaired. The handyman that was sent out to make the corrections, Justin, is now the primary reason why JW Home Improvement will be my first call should I have any handyman needs. Going forward, I will always request Justin personally and if he is not available, I will wait. Justin's attention to detail is unparalleled. When he made the repairs to the ceiling, he did not miss anything. Everything was covered from the furniture to the floor to protect it from paint and debris. Justin did a thorough walk-through with me to make sure that he saw everything that was an issue for me and even noticed a couple of spots that were missed that I hadn't. He takes his time and does things right. As I felt bad about pointing out anything that the prior handyman had missed, Justin continued to reiterate that he and JW Improvement weren't happy unless I was happy. The fact that Justin is knowledgeable, honest and polite beyond words also put me at ease and elevated my trust and confidence in JW Improvement. As far as I'm concerned, Justin is the JW Improvement shining star. JW Improvement clearly has a focus on quality and customer satisfaction. I understand why their reviews are consistently high. They will have a repeat customer in me. Especially, if Justin is available to do the work!

Handyman At Your Command
5.0
We purchased an Angie's List deal: $699 for 8 hours of handyman services. Handyman at Your Command reached out immediately to schedule service, and were very good about accommodating our schedule. Yuvenay (the handyman) showed up right on time and looked over our list of small and large repair items. The largest was to replace the base of our bathtub, which had rotted due to a leak. He came up with an excellent solution, looked to see where the leak was coming from and replaced both the base of the tub, tiles which had fallen off, and regrouted where needed. Then he proceeded to complete most of the other items on the list - rebalancing a florescent light in the kitchen, patching some walls, and fixing a broken back screen door. He had to come back a few days later to finish the work on the tub, once the caulking had dried. Again, he showed up on time and finished the work efficiently. I was amazed at how much he got done in one day, how knowledgeable and innovative he was in coming up with workable solutions. The company was very responsive and professional - highly recommend!

PORCELAIN TUB RESTORATIONS
5.0
I was in the process of renovating a bathroom when I got a call from my contractor -- our new special-order porcelain tub had some significant cosmetic damage and needed repair. Since I didn't have time to wait for a new tub to be shipped, I called Porcelain Tub Restorations. They quickly told me that they could fix the problems for a flat fee of $200 and could be at my house within a week. It ultimately turned out that the damage to our tub was concealed by the surround tiling, so we didn't hire PTR, but I could not have been happier and more impressed with the company and its willingness to help.

The tub looks like brand new. They were supposed to fix one chip (per the estimate) but when the technician examined the tub he discovered two more chips..without asking repaired those also. Then when he was going out the door he mentioned that he redid the caulking around the tub as it was failing. I think I got more than my money's worth.

George Collins, the General Manager, visited our home to give us an estimate. He was very professional about analyzing the problems and gave us a reasonable estimate for the repairs. On March 24, 2015 the technician arrived to do the work. The work took about 2 to 3 hours and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. The technician knew his job well, and the final result made us both very satisfied. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone needing these types of repairs, and in fact, we have already recommended them to some friends. Ollie Fowler

Excellent. Jeff is the ultimate professional - shows up on time, knows his stuff and does the job with perfection. I interviewed seven tub refinishing companies. I eliminated the other six based on their proposed methodology to fix the one tub that had major issues at the overflow drain. Jeff proposed the only solution that made sense and it worked out flawlessly. If you have tub issues, you need look no further than Bathroom Magic. My tubs look like they were just installed new out of the box. Amazing - two thumbs up!!

He was very professional (he even arrived a little early), he inquired beforehand if I needed him to pick up the fluorescents which I didn't, and he went about his work without making phone calls or taking breaks. I am now comfortable that I have someone to complete the repairs around the house that I cannot do.

Betz Enterprises

The initial consult was $120 to let us know whether or not they could fix the leak without replacing the tub. They agreed to fix the leak for $220 (labor and materials) if I cut open the shower wall to provide access to the area. I agreed and completed the work to provide access to all parts of the tub system. The Betz technician came out and applied a thick coat of Weld On sealant to the seals of the tub. No parts were replaced. After waiting the 24 hours curing time as directed I ran the tub. It continued to leak from the same seal. I contacted Betz and they agreed to come out and fix the leak and only charge the cost of materials. The technician came back out and simply added more Weld On to the area without replacing any parts. We were told at that time there would be no charge to complete the repair. The seal has so far held although I have my doubts that it is a permanent solution. My greatest complaint is that two weeks after the final visit to re-apply the Weld On sealant I received another bill in the mail from Betz for $45 for "materials only." This brought the total cost for a single pipe seal repair to $385. I attempted to contact Betz to dispute this charge as a few ounces of Weld On used to complete the repair does not add up to $45. Betz has not responded to my attempt to contact them. I made a complaint with the local BBB and they have attempted to contact Betz and resolve the issue. As of this date they have had no response from the company.

Miracle Method of Fairfax

IAs my bathroom was badly in need of repair work, the only dealing I had with Miracle method was to purchase a Cardinal shower door with installation. I highly recommend this heavy duty and good quality shower door and love the rain pattern that I chose. The owner stated that I needed some repair work first before any surface refinishing could be done and recommended an excellent repair guy who had his own business. It turned out that it would be cheaper for me to get a whole new bathroom rather than repair and refinish. I took his advice. When I got around to using my squeegee on the shower door, I discovered that the installation guys from Miracle Method had installed the door incorrectly - the side with the pattern was facing inwards, when it should have been facing out. The owner of Miracle Method promptly set up an appointment to have the correction made. Even though the Miracle Method installation guys reinforced the door with extra caulking, water continued to splash out under the rim onto the floor. As I was already utilizing the excellent repair guy recommended by the owner of Miracle Method, he volunteered to fix the floor leak using a superior grade of caulk. So far, so good!

Alex was the technician who came over and took care of the diagnostics, materials and fixing. He worked quietly and efficiently and he did a nice clean and thorough job. I don't have a reference of expenses for this kind of work and it felt a bit over priced to me, but was ultimately worth it for my mental sanity. We are still awaiting quotes for a few other things we need to fix around the house.
