Precision Roads & DrivewaysThis is not your routine paving company review. This is more so a story of a human being showing empathy for another. But if you don’t have time to read this all, just know that Precision Roads is not only full of people who will provide you with a skillful and high quality driveway or parking lot but more importantly, it is comprised of people who are kind human beings. Our driveway was a hot mess thanks to a scam paving company. We were in desperate need of a reliable paver and Precision came highly recommended by multiple people. The owner, Harry, responded to my call right away and came out himself to ***** the situation within days. We then had the pleasure of having, Richard, the lead estimator come out and meet with us as well. We came up with a plan and they got their crew out to our house the following week. This crew is a well oiled machine! There was about 10 guys working, including Harry, the owner. It reminded me of a choreographed dance they way each person knew what to do and when. They were able to do our driveway and our neighbor across the street from start to finish within a day and a half. Every person we encountered was pleasant, respectful and seemed to enjoy their job. My kids are obsessed with Blippi these days so they loved seeing the big machines working. The crew were patient and friendly to answer my little ones questions. 518 RemodelWe have used the services of 518 Remodel on two separate occasions. Their service and work have always been outstanding. In the fall of 2017 they added 8 feet to our garage and then built and outfitted a mudroom/ laundry room for us. This was an extensive project which required construction, excavation, paving, electrical, plumbing, painting, concrete and drywall work. All this work was completed to the highest standards. We again, hired this company in March 2021, to do some attic work and to retile 2 bathrooms. Here again we were fully satisfied and impressed with the jobs that were done for us. Sal, the owner, has subcontractors commence work in a timely manner, and he always returns your call and attends to all of the customers needs. Excellent work. It was a tricky job, given the slope, old driveway condition (well over 20 years old and in real rough shape), and addition of a retaining wall and drain where there wasn't one before. Chose an unusual wall solution, but it came out pretty good. Blocks were delivered late on first day, which pushed the job into a second day, but there was never a complaint from the crew. Jim and Heidi listened to our wants and needs, and delivered.

When an argument in my neighborhood erupted about the moving of a car so paving equipment could pass, an Egan Pavers employee called my adult male African American neighbor “Boy” and told the neighbor to get a job. The owner did not apologize for the behavior of his employee or reprimand the employee. On their final day of the job, the owner urinated outside of my kitchen window. My 13 year old daughter looked out of the window and saw him. He was not trying to be discrete and he was not covered up. When we talked to the owners son he said he couldn't do anything about it. When I asked for an apology he’s said, “I just need to get off this street.” When I asked if he had a daughter he said “yes” and stormed away from me. This business is unprofessional to a level that should not be tolerated.
