MC Home Improvements and ConstructionRecently, I had Eric and his crew (Chris and Joe) along with other team members to help with another renovation. Therefore, I have to say I am still quite impressed with the quality of work that this company does. This particular company goes above and beyond and they really came through for me and my family when we needed something to get done in a timely manner. Arta ConstructionWe had interviewed a handful of contractors (the ones who actually showed up to the appointments we made). Some showed up and didn't send estimates or wanted to start without providing one. Or provided overpriced estimates. We were starting to worry...and then we found Arta Construction. We knew instantly we found an honorable, experienced and professional company. Andy is someone who you can shake hands with and know he is going to get the job done. The fit, finish, quality and attention to details were amazing. The heavy doors and special additions to our pre war apartment had a lot of tricky challenges to overcome - uneven floors, leaky windows and radiators - Andy and Arta had a smart solution to any problem and the end result was beautiful. We have a brand new and updated "old detailed" apartment. It is a dream come true. All this was accomplished during the challenging time of the pandemic with many additional restrictions put on us in a building with many, many rules. Arta always had permits in good order, followed all building rules and there was never a single complaint from neighbors. It is so important to have building management not take issue with your contractor. We had no problems at all during a major project. Communication was excellent throughout our relationship. The Arta crew always came to work prepared and with a "no nonsense, get to work attitude" that you appreciate. They value your time and money invested in your project. Our estimate was very reasonable and we stayed perfectly on budget. I highly recommend Arta for projects big and small. They are true artisans and craftsmen and take pride in doing things right and making it right for thier customers. My building super asked if my apartment could be used as a showplace for neighbors to see during construction because it was asked about so often when word got out about our progress. All of our expectations were exceeded. There was never a question or change we asked for that was ever refused. We have already engaged Arta to renovate another apartment for a family member. We are very happy to have Arta Construction as our contractor. They earned our business and will continue to be our construction specialists.- Dennis D.

Northgate Home Improvement Corp.In February 2021, my husband and I hired Jeff and his crew for an interior renovation of our house. We were pretty worried since it was a big job and we had never worked with Jeff before (we hired him based on reviews). We picked out everything ourselves (fixtures, tiles, appliances, cabinets, etc…) and Jeff and his team handled the labor. We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out! Not only did they do a phenomenal job, they were very easy to work with. Jeff and his crew arrived each morning, Monday through Friday, and didn’t skip days randomly to work on other projects which is something that I really appreciated since I’ve heard horror stories from friends and family about contractors who left them hanging. Jeff was also flexible and accommodating when working with other vendors (flooring company, custom cabinet company, etc..), making sure the right puzzle pieces were in place before moving forward. In addition to the beautiful work they did (see photos attached), Jeff and his entire crew are kind and honest people. They treated us, and our house, with respect. Throughout the project, Jeff would make sure that we were happy with how things were progressing and he was transparent regarding costs and timelines. Tedora IncWe hired Tedora to remodel our basement. Igor, Vlad and their team did a fantastic job. They were very competitive with their cost estimate. They were also very clear that they charged for labor only and which building materials were to be paid and supplied by us. We preferred them over other contractors that were ambiguous. Also, they were ready to start fairly quick. As they started work, they provided daily status updates. They were also very careful to defer the decisions to us - not just build something that was easy for them. We ran into some unanticipated work, but these guys handled it gracefully at a minimal cost. They were flexible to work around our schedule. They also went out of their way on multiple occasions. Best of all - they finished work before the promised date. These guys are very skilled at what they do. All we had to do is explain our concerns and they would quickly arrive at a solution. - *1st week of work always late, they arrive before or after lunch* *- Jeremy instructed me to clean the wall and floor of the Toilet Bowl (TB) where they removed. * *As for me and my Uncle said that, that was the work of a PLUMBER not me as Caregiver to my Uncle. He is UNPROFESSIONAL with what he did to me that i cleaned the wall and floor of the TB that they removed. * *- Me and my Uncle saw also that the long towel and 2 short hand towels which was in the bathroom was, they used it to clean up the mud/dirts that was in the floor WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION, they just get the towels and wiped the mud. They are DISRESPECTFUL & UNPROFESSIONAL with what they did. * *- Every time they entered the house i smelIed marijuana* *- They used our home vacuum for their business and our home vacuum was destroyed but they replaced it. They should bring their own vacuum or other equipment that they will used.* *- They used our own trash bags but when it was only few that's the time they bought their own.* *- They used our home chair and pale with full of paints and dirts. They don't even bother to clean or change. After a week that they were gone, i called them to clean-up the chair and pale. Jeremy bought a new chair but the pale until today he hasn't replace or clean it.* *- Jeremy's assistant took my Uncle's charger its good that my Uncle noticed it so I called Jeremy and he returned after a week but we bought already a charger.* *- Last April 28, 2020 around 12 noon they came over while i was in my PT Appointment. I texted Jeremy prior to this April 28 that i have PT Appointment in the morning and he can come Monday or Tuesday around 4pm but i never received a reply from him. Then when i arrived home from my PT Appointment i saw them outside the house in the driveway cleaned up the paints that was accidentally poured in the driveway. After we had lunch, me and my Uncle i went straight to my room and there i found out that my $1,000 cash money was missing in my bag. All my bags has its own cash money. I asked my Uncle if he permitted them to enter and put the socket cover in my room and my Uncle said no. He didn't noticed that they entered in my room. That, i reported to the Police Officers and they came to my Uncle's house and the Police Officer gave me a Police Event Number 200236790 to submit also in your office.* *I don't know also what other things they did inside my room while i was out. I was thinking they might planted a tiny camera or a drugs whatever, then 1 day the Police Officer will knock on our door and they might said that they have a tip that i am using a drugs. We don't know, that might happen because why they entered my room. That was intentional because i texted him to come Monday or Tuesday 4pm So, see you can see their disrespectful, rude and unprofessionalism. *

Fast, professional service. No job is too big or small. There was a leak in my main water line. NYC All Pro Renovations came out when I needed, gave me an estimate and repaired the line. I also got my Ring Doorbell and a Ring security camera mounted and installed. NYC All Pro Renovations went over and beyond my expectations. I would definitely refer and be using again for future home repairs.

Absolutely terrible work and work ethic! Leonard Forbes claimed to have experience in doing a "mud job" and tile work. The concrete he placed was not level, so therefore the finished tiles, all of about 12 tiles, came our sunken and crooked. While cutting the tiles, he didn't seal the bathroom door or cut them outdoors. Therefore, my entire apartment was in a thick cloud of white tile dust and smoke. This dust covered my entire apartment which took me days to clean. Not to mention me inhaling this toxic dust. His work was so bad, I had to hire another vendor to tear out his work and do the entire job again. They said his workmanship was shoddy. I paid Expert Builders $600 which I was now out of pocket. And the new tile vendor approximately $1000. So, I asked Leonard Forbes to reimburse me for a small portion of $150 for his unprofessional job and he agreed to his. This job took place last summer in July of 2020. During the course of one year, he repeatedly said "the check was in the mail," but I have yet to receive anything and most likely never will. I rarely write bad reviews but this was one of the worst experiences I have had with home repairs. Submitted by A. Penza
