FYI—The SSL certificate on our developer site expired earlier. This site is powered by @stoplightio so I don’t have control to renew it myself. Until they do, your browser is probably not going to let you browse the docs. Sorry about this everyone, we’ll get it fixed ASAP.

For those asking about the 2019 recap feature, it’s coming. I’m about 1 week behind schedule right now. It should be out by the end of next week.

All done! There was a few blips this afternoon (mainly on the website) but downtime was kept to a minimum and the migration has been completed.

Just a quick update, I got half of the instances moved today. I'll be finishing the rest tomorrow. Best end when things are stable and finish up tomorrow when I have the whole day.

I'm pretty excited to get this work behind me so that I can go back to doing some feature work. Not having done any since May has been killing me. Thanks for your patience with this. I'll be sure to post an update once everything is looking good.

Hi everyone! I’m going to be migrating TMDb’s primary database instances today so there could be a few bumps along the way. This is the last piece to move in what has been a 4 month infrastructure migration project.

Looks like AWS is having some issues this morning that affected the region we’re in (US-EAST-1). It definitely affected a few of our instances so that’s why things may have been a bit rocky. Until things are all green here: https://status.aws.amazon.com  we may still have a few issues.

After an insane day , search and discover are both back online. Thanks for everyone's patience while I worked to get everything restored. My back and butt hurt... it's most certainly time for a drink.

As soon as I have an update I will post one here. Rest assured though, I've been working as hard as I can to get this fixed.

I've been working around the clock to replace this service but it's at least a days worth of work and I'm only about 60% the way through it.

For technical reasons, this service is not able to scale out like the rest of the infrastructure and under this load, it's going down and taking the API with it. As a band-aid fix, I have disabled the search and discover endpoints. I understand that obviously this is not ideal.
