Minneapolis Deck Waterproofing

I was so pleased that I hired them to pressure-wash and stain my deck.

RESPONSIVE WITH BID AND WORK SCHEDULED. DECK WASH LOOKED GREAT, I WAS CONCERNED WITH THE STAIN COAT. CALLED TO ASK HOW MANY COATS WERE APPLIED AND FOR THE 10% CREDIT ADVERTISED. WAS TOLD 'TWO COATS ARE ALWAYS APPLIED, THREE IF NEEDED'. I FELT ANOTHER COAT WAS NEEDED, STEVE OFFERED TO STOP BY AND LOOK. I CALLED BACK AND SAID HE DIDN'T NEED TO VISIT BUT PLEASE APPLY THE CREDIT. THE WORK WAS DONE THE END OF APRIL, WE DIDN'T RECEIVE THE CREDIT UNTIL THE END OF JULY, AFTER MANY TELEPHONE CALLS. ALONG WITH THE CREDIT, THE OWNER CALLED WITH AN APOLOGY AND SENT A WRITTEN NOTE WITH A CERTIFICATE FOR A PIE AT BAKERS SQUARE. THAT WAS APPRECIATED. THOUGH THEY WERE RESPONSIVE WITH THE BID AND WORK, THEIR RESPONSIVENESS IN WRAPPING UP THE PROJECT, WHICH INCLUDES BILLING, AFFECTS MY RATING. A LESSON LEARNED FOR ME, NEXT TIME WE HAVE DECK WORK DONE, I WILL BE HOME.

Great. Jeff was awesome. We had our deck painted about three years ago by someone else and they did an aweful job. Jeff had to come out and power wash to remove all the old paint, which was hard work, and then restain the deck the right way. Jeff did a great job, easy to work with, communicated well. Definitely hire him again

They sanded and stained our redwood deck that turned out gorgeous. The crew was polite and clean. We really liked that they rolled the paint on our rough cedar home. The house looks new.

I first found Clayton through Angie's list in 2006. He was the lowest price of three A-rated contractors who bid on the job. The end result was meticulous and looked great. I've used him at least five times since. Now we are tuning the house up to sell it this summer. He is meticulously honest and reasonable in his pricing. I've stopped asking him for quotes and just pay him time and material for the work I need. I'm always pleasantly surprised at how reasonable it turns out to be. He always looks for ways to save you money. I had a couple white ceilings with stains on them and I wanted them re-painted. He jumped up on a ladder with some special cleaner he keeps with him and had it looking perfect in less than five minutes. Most painters would have just painted it to have the work. He works with three or four guys who have been with him since I met them in 2006. That speaks volumes about him as well. They are also qualified to do light construction work, so when I needed a door replaced and a rotten siding board replaced, they just did it themselves. This time we needed an interior accent wall, that had been painted an extremely dark brown, repainted to a pale color. It also had sheet rock damage. They cleverly worked the spackling repairs and three coats of paint into one day, by coordinating it with other work in the house giving the mud and each coat of paint time to dry. He maintains our paint inventory in the corner of the garage, so he can always find the right stuff for touch-up work, saving the time and expense of re-matching and purchasing new paint every visit. I wouldn't dream of using anyone else.

There was about a month between cleaning the deck and staining/sealing. This was probably mostly due to the amount of rain we had. Then someone came and did the deck posts; a few days later, it looked like the railings had been done, but the deck floor and top of the railing didn't look like they had. I called them and asked if they were finished with my deck. They were, but very professionally and politely said they would send someone out in the next 2 days. He came and agreed the deck needed another coat. It looks pretty good now, but is not quite the quality job I had from them a few years ago.

The original estimate was given by Todd who is very knowledgeable and focused on proper prepping and quality paint. Dan came out to over see the project and was also very knowledgeable about the products and performance. The outdoor deck was prepped exactly the way it should be then it was painted meticulously by brush. Every nook and cranny was painted. The 1/2 bath wallpaper removal went well. Initially, Pro Mar 200 paint was used to get a lower luster matte finish than Duration paint but I did not like the way the paint looked after being splashed with water. They came out and repainted the whole bathroom with Duration paint without hesitation when I complained. Both owners are extremely professional and customer service oriented. I have never rated a company as worth more $ than I paid but I think this company deserves that status.

I called to request an estimate on pressure washing and staining my deck. Heard back from Heath within a day. They were able to fit the work in within about a week of the estimate. They did a terrific job and were very respectful of the garden surrounding the deck. Heath also inquired about my old front door that needed refinishing. The estimate was great ($150) for sanding it down, staining and applying a few coats of poly. Looks like a completely different door!

We are extremely pleased with Bjorn's consultative approach. He assisted in color combination selection, accent application and deck refinish. Change orders were explained well and & done well. Bjorn and Harley were both very friendly and excited about their work. We would recommend Pro Form to any one looking for paint or deck refinish work.

Barak responded quickly while it was still snowing providing an estimate and said he would call back when the weather permitted the work. Sure enough, Barak called and completed the deck and painting in early May. My wife picked the stain color and was very happy and if my wife is happy so am I. Barak and his team did a great job.
