Duneman Handyman Service
we were very pleased with the responsiveness and quality of the work done in our kitchen. We had an old built in refrigerator removed but the cabinet needed trimming to fit the new appliance. It was not a simple task but the wood was cut to size and remounted beautifully. You can't tell we had to have any work done. This was our first time using Duneman Services and we will continue to call him for other home repair needs.

Eric built an incredible high-end deck for the previous owners of our lake home. He had also done wonderful work with the installation of large cherry closet doors, crown moulding and finish carpentry. We hired Eric to help with the completion of a boat storage shed for our lake toys. Eric assisted with some of the design elements, obtained materials and built the framework and exterior of the shed. He also installed the door and window. The end result is a beautiful shed that compliments our custom home and isn't an eyesore on the lake. Eric is meticulous and really strives for perfection. The job was repaired satisfactory closing the open gap and restoring the area to proper condition. The job was originally scheduled about a week earlier and they forgot to show up. Had to call them and reschedule for a new date. The new date appointment time was late by almost one hour. However, they did call from another job advising a change in arrival time. This job was reviewed by their estimator and I was advised that the advanced payment for 4 hrs. of labor work would cover the repair cost. I got a billing for an additional 8 hrs. of labor. After discussing the issues (labor hrs.) the billing was amended to 4 hrs. labor. The repair job was good but the other issues made this a fair overall rating.

I called for an estimate and they were out very promptly. Everyone in town was trying to get windows replaced before the tax credit expired at the end of the year and I was concerned that I had waited too long to get started. They assured me that they would get it done for me and they did. The gentleman that came out for the estimate was very polite and took the time to answer all my questions. I wanted them to stain the new interior woodwork for me and they took a piece of trim with them to make sure of a good match. Once the windows arrived they sent someone out with some sample stains for me to see and approve of. When the windows were installed the men were very careful to close off the rest of the room to keep dust down to a minimum and to keep the house as warm as possible. They took down all my window treatments and replaced them when they were done. They cleaned up and vacuumed at the end of each day. My house was never a mess. The city has to inspect new windows and the installers mentioned to me that since 3 of the windows were in bedrooms the inspector might also be looking to see if I had smoke alarms in each bedroom, evidently that is a rule has come into effect since my house was built. I picked up a set of smoke alarms at Home Depot and they sent one of the guys back out to put them up for me at no charge. Sure enough I noticed the city inspector looking for alarms as he went through the house. The inspectors comment as he first looked at the windows sums it all up - "Wow, those are nice."
