If you plan to move forward with an in-person meetup, you must use the provided checklist.

Find more about deputies in our Community Deputy Handbook., they’re first asked to sign an agreement to make sure they understand the responsibilities that come with the role. Here is the text of that agreement:


DeputiesDeputy Community Deputies are a team of people all over the world who review WordCamp and Meetup applications, interview lead organizers, and generally keep things moving at WordCamp Central. Find more about deputies in our Community Deputy Handbook. on the WordPress Community Team act as representatives of the WordPress open sourceOpen Source Open Source denotes software for which the original source code is made freely available and may be redistributed and modified. Open Source **must be** delivered via a licensing model, see GPL. project and guide community members in acting according to the project philosophies and program guidelines.
As a deputy, you agree to:
â—Ź Perform the duties of a Deputy for the good of the WordPress community, not for the benefit of any one person or business.
â—Ź Follow through on commitments made to the Community Team, or in the event that you are unable to fulfill this commitment, let another Deputy know so that someone else can take over your responsibilities.
●  Be respectful of all community members, and use language in your communications that shows this respect.
●  Contribute to a welcoming atmosphere on the Community Team and in the WordPress project by not allowing discrimination or harassment to go unchallenged.
●  Respect the confidentiality of sensitive and/or personally identifiable information.
●  Respect and act in accordance with the WordPress trademark policy.
●  Respect the WordPress license (GPLv2orlater) and refrain from activities in conflictwith the license terms, or promotion of other people/businesses in conflict with the license terms.
●  Confirm that you are not an employee of the WordPress FoundationWordPress Foundation The WordPress Foundation is a charitable organization founded by Matt Mullenweg to further the mission of the WordPress open source project: to democratize publishing through Open Source, GPL software. Find more on wordpressfoundation.org., and are acting in a volunteer capacity with the project.
