I bought my ten-year old Pottery Barn floor lamp in for repairs on Friday. I had it back in 24 hours and it was not only repaired - and for a pittance compared to the cost of a new lamp - it was improved. The dimmer had failed. They replaced it with one that could be detached from the lamp; now I can plug the lamp directly into an outlet or plug it into the new dimmer and let that be the connection to the outlet. They treated my $150 floor lamp like it was a pricey item from their own stock. If I am ever in the market for really high end lamps, I know where I will shop.

I am so glad that I found this provider on Angie's list, as most of the reviews were dead on correct. I had attempted to put a new socket in one of the lamps. BIG MISTAKE as these lamps "unscrewed" in several sections and when I put the new socket in, the lamp was just not right. The other lamp also was becoming loose. They cleaned and rewired the lamps. When I picked the lamps up, I wanted new lamp shades and they provided several options which included not only the shade, but adding an extender so that the shade would be at the correct height. They did the work quickly, were very professional and the only thing I regret is that I had not used them sooner than I did.

Looked them up on Angies list and took the lamp in. Very nice reception, a quick diagnosis of what was wrong as well as an estimate of the cost were all provided as soon as I arrived. The lamp was ready in a couple of days and the price was $6 below the estimate. It is nice to have a pair of working lamps again.

The owner was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He provided some history of the Stiffel lamp company and the quality and craftsmanship of these vintage lamps. It took about two weeks to complete the work which was the estimated time I was told it would take. When I picked up the lamps, an employee plugged them in to ensure they worked perfectly with a three-way switch. The workmanship on recovering the shades was also excellent. Both lamps look brand new! I would definitely use their services again.

Step daughter purchased used 2006 Mazda last year. She was not aware that a previous owner of the car had replaced the original factory installed headlamps with aftermarket HID lamps. The Stiffel lamp is a very expensive lamp and it has a three way switch for low medium and high as far as the intensity goes and that switch failed. Since it is a very expensive lamp made by Stiffel I took the whole lamp to the store. I have had work done there before. Usually you leave it and it takes three or four days and they will give you a call to let you know to come and pick it up. This time they were not too busy and they offered to fix it on the spot for me. They soldered the new three way switch on to the lamp. It took me a maximum of 20 minutes because they were other customers in the store there. It was really nice getting that fixed. I only paid a maximum of $20 for parts and labor. It was great service and they were able to do it immediately so it was really nice of them to do it. The lamp is now working great.

They ordered the bases which took about 2 weeks to come in. They said it would take two weeks, so the timing was exact. When the bases came in we brought in 4 lamps and had them repaired. One of the lamp bases was busted, the other ceramic base we were not sure how to take the base off. The other other two were easy to remove. They told us 7 to 10 days to do the repairs after the bases came in. We brought the lamps in on Thursday and they were done by Tuesday. The lamps look great. They are Civil War soldiers and we were not sure how to repair them. It was about $63 a lamp to repair. They did an excellent job. I would use them again. I read the reviews on the company on Angies List before calling them. I would recommend them to anyone. The employees are very nice. Barry does excellent work!

Frank and his repairman provide outstanding, knowledgeable service and products. Their prices are very fair. In fact, for lamp repairs they are less than we expected to pay. They know lighting, all the fixtures and accessories. Because they repaired antique and old lamps for us, they made changes to bring them up to date. They were able to tell us wattage limits for these old lamps. (Note that they do not make cosmetic repairs to ceramic, glass or metal lamps. They explain the replacement parts they can provide and how those parts work compared to the original.) Their stock of lamp shades is very good and they know how to help you select shades. If you need a shade, bring your lamp so they can help you select a new one. Don't just guess by size or color; you need to see how the shade fits and works with the lamp. They also sell new lamps and lighting fixtures. They have an extensive selection of contemporary and traditional styles, and the products are top quality. Again, their prices are very reasonable and you know what you are getting.

The electrician showed up at the scheduled time. He got to work immediately. He started work at the lamp that was on the metal pole in the front yard. He found that there was juice still coming through the wires to that lamp. This light hadn't worked in over 25 years - I had thought there was a break in the wiring going from the metal pole to the house. But after the electrician checked the wiring, he determined the problem had been in the lamp all along. He quickly removed the old, non working lamp and quickly replaced it with the new one. He then moved on to the lamp at the font door. He quickly removed the old lamp and worked on putting up the new lamp. He had some minor problems with putting up the new lamp, but he did get in done and the entire job took only about 30 minutes. I not only would recommend this company, but would use them again.

After reviewing various contractors on Angie's list, I called Mannix for an estimate and quickly got a visit from Hal. I wanted to go with Carrier since my friends and family have experienced great reliability with that brand. He showed me my options and taught me something new about not being able to get a super efficient furnace installed because of the location of the furnace in the townhouse. Had it been a single family house that would have been possible. An estimate was given and the price was reasonable especially with the 0% financing plan. Two crews showed up at around 8am and was able to complete the job before the heavy rains in the afternoon. It was a good thing since they had to sit equipment outside as well as install the outside units. Before work began inside, canvas was laid down over the hardwood floors and carpet. The job was completed in about 6 hours. The technician showed me how to operate the wifi thermostat before they left. There was one thing that irked me a little. The light bulb in the attic was accidentally broken. Rather than ask me for another one, the technician took one from an existing lamp fixture. Overall, it was a job well done. I've noticed the increased efficiency in both units compared to the original equipment.

Super Service Award Recent Review: In two words: Great, Fast. We picked Mega Kitchen and Bath because they had good reviews, they had the lowest estimate and I believed they were big enough to get the job done quickly. We had to live without a kitchen while the work was done and I didn't want it to linger. They estimated 4 weeks. We moved into the kitchen (mostly) after 3 weeks. The work was basically completely done in 3.5 weeks. It probably would have been done sooner but we asked for a change (that they accommodated without complaint). The change required some more materials they had to wait for. We also ordered some pendant lamps that were VERY late which was completely our fault. Nonetheless, they finished early. We worked with Sever for the estimate and the design. He was particularly good. I read articles about optimal kitchen design and downloaded some software and created a design. Sever looked at our house and our design and added several good ideas. He understands how the work is done so had a feel for what was doable and what wasn't. He also stuck with us through the whole construction. When something wasn't what we had expected, he addressed it. The workers who actually did the work were great. Very nice, respectful, asked the right questions, did a great job. They were in our house all day every day for a couple weeks so that was important. And they worked fast. Some mistakes were made during the work but just about everything was corrected without a problem. If I have one criticism, it's communication. I'm an engineer and I'm used to communicating heavily over emails and I'm used to getting quick responses. The folks at Mega Kitchen and Bath didn't always quickly acknowledge my notes about one issue or another so I was unsure if they got the email and understood what I was asking. But in the end this didn't cause any significant problems,.
