    Hello,

I’ve installed WP ERP and connected both SMTP and IMAP successfully. I can send emails but when I get a reply it doesn’t show up in inbound emails count or on the customers page. I’ve checked the cron job and it’s running successfully, yet nothing’s coming through. I’m not using Gmail but another email hosting provider. I’ve read through everyone else’s report of the same issue but I haven’t been able to get it working. Other than that this is an awesome plugin!

    Thank you for reaching out,

As you have mentioned that you are not using gmail, can you please let me know which mail server you are using?

    Hello @benimator ,

    Thank you for getting back,

Please make sure that, your mail server allows 3rd party application.

We recommend our users to use Google(gmail) server as It is more relevant and error free.

    Thank you

    Hi @arif777
I use a few different email clients to check my emails, so it definitely supports 3rd party applications. The fact that SMTP works with the email I’m using in WPERP must mean it supports 3rd party applications?

    Hello @benimator

My apologies but what Arif wanted to say is, sometimes a webmail/mail server doesn’t allow all the incoming/outgoing requests. WP ERP can read/get the emails through the ports only when mailserver allows.

We can assure you the email functionality in WP ERP is just working fine without any problem. Not like WP ERP can not connect to the Mailserver or something. If it can connect to Gmail or other servers, it can do the same operation to others, unless it’s not allowing the connecting request.

I’d recommend you to try with any other email that usages a different mail server or Gmail. As the mail server is not in our hands, I’m afraid that we can hardly diagnose that!

    Thanks
