He called to say that he could do the service call on Friday evening instead of Saturday citing concern that we had no heat and the temps were going to dip that evening. He quickly identified the problem, expedited the parts delivery and even serviced our 2nd furnace which we did not realize was having issues until he inspected it while on site. Sila replaced the broken thermostats and tested the system to make sure it was working accurately before they left. I had a water heater die on a Saturday a couple of week ago. I reached out to Anglies List and promptly received four replies, this was the first one. I understood that being the weekend there would be a premium charge to replace the water heater. I own multiple properties and have been a homeowner for more than 35 years. I have had water heaters swapped out a number of times and have a good idea of the cost. When the plumbers arrived they saw a very accessible heater vented directly into the chimney. The venting did not need to be replaced, all that was needed was to remove the old heater, hook up the new one, and remove the old one with the addition of putting it on blocks so it would not sit directly on the floor. They showed me the tablet with a price of $2,450 which I said was "crazy" and I wasn't interested in having them do the work. They asked how much I thought it would cost and I said $1,500 at the very high end. He said there was no way they could do it for that. I still had to pay the $150 weekend surcharge that I believe should have applied if I had hired them, not for coming out and giving me an estimate. Every contractor is entitled to earn a fair profit, but suggesting a price totally out of line with costs and overhead is absurd.

My phone call was returned immediately even though it was after hours on a Friday. I was able to turn my water off but he knew I was anxious and came to fix it the following Monday. He was very nice and professional. He also checked some other items for me which took awhile including inspecting my upstairs neighbor's area to check for a possible cause for a different link but yet, didn't charge me for the extra time he spent doing this. I would definitely call him again for assistance.

When I called to make an appointment Rob was so professional and cordial. Although they did not have any times, he said that he would call me when a technician was available. One came available the same day I called but I did not get back to him in time. The next day he called and said a technician was available. He was so polite and respectful. He called to let me know that Frank was on his way. When Frank got to our home he went straight downstairs to ***** the situation. He was excellent. He knew what he was doing and explained everything to my husband. He was professional and so nice. It was such a pleasure having work done during COVID and feeling safe having someone come in. We will recommend to anyone that the work done and the customer service was excellent. We would use them in a heart beat. Thank you for your service.
