CUSTOM LAWN CAREActual patio install went great! They did a proper job with proper grading, drainage, etc. Had to use heavy machinery so sod went in. I wish I had a better understanding of how much the sod cost, I might have gone a different route with either re-seeding or more sod to replace existing. We also had this work done in June before our baby was born in early July. Despite that, I was able to water per instructions. Unfortunately the drought in the back half of summer has been fairly harsh to the sod, especially at the edges. Also did not receive instructions for care of arbor vitae that was planted between patio and dog area. They ended up dying probably due to the drought, but also not sure if they were appropriate for the area. Just wish there was more recommendation/instruction here. Also follow up to make sure we were taking care of the sod. I also probably could have been upsold on lawn renewal, more sod, maybe a sprinkler system to try and help maintain this area we were already invested in. Overall, I'm not terribly torn up about those issues. The patio itself looks amazing and I think the workmanship was great. Just need a little more communication regarding care of landscaping replace/installed. There pricing was great as well. It did go up a bit after we added some options, but that's to be expected. Overall, very satisfied and would hire again. I would just be a little more forthcoming with questions based on my learning experience. Paradigm Concrete DesignChad was very easy to work with. We changed our plans during construction several times. Not only was Chad and his crew patient but also very helpful in our final decisions. The work took a few days longer than originally planned but that was due to weather and changes we initiated. We were very pleased with the finished project! Dwyer DesignScapesOver the course of the last 12 months, this company has designed an outdoor living space and oversaw the project. We were very pleased with the work of Dwyer's as well as their contractors. We also have Dwyer's do our weekly lawn maintenance. (last two years) We are very happy with their efficiency and eye for details. People comment about our yard since they have taken over the work from the previous lawn care contractor. There were a couple of minor issues with a section of lights and with the new gas grill. The owner, Pat Dwyer, was easy to work with and had both issues addressed in a very timely manner. We have enjoyed working with this company and we are considering another large project for our yard next year, simply because our experience with them was so positiv- ANITA C.

Bluegrass PaversFrom our very first contact with Craig Breneman of Bluegrass Pavers at the 2013 Louisville Home and Garden Show, we were impressed with not only the quality of his work, but his professional and courteous demeanor with potential customers. After making subsequent contact in quest of suggestions for a complete redesign and replacement of a deteriorating aggregate concrete driveway, which by its very position was an integral part of our home's front entrance and its overall appearance from the street, Bluegrass Pavers conducted a prompt on-site survey, taking all necessary measurements and employing the services of a landscape architect. Shortly thereafter, we were presented via electronic communications, with a proposed design, detailed estimate, and contract, all of which were accepted and an installation date agreed upon. Once demolition of our existing driveway began, Bluegrass Pavers worked for eight (8) consecutive days removing large segments of our existing driveway, redefining its borders and shape, and preparing a base for the installation of selected Belgard pavers in a classic pattern. Before the project was ever completed, neighbors visited the construction site and praised not only the aesthetic effect of the redesigned paver driveway, but also the impressive work ethics of the Bluegrass Pavers construction crew, who worked long hours in full sun, with few, if any breaks. Throughout the entire process, Craig Breneman remained either on site or accessible by cell phone or e-mail, responding promptly to all our inquiries. With the completion of this project, the overall appearance of our home has been greatly enhanced and backing our cars out of our garage onto the street has become easier, due to a suggested design modification. The classic beauty of the paver driveway itself, provides a whole new look to our home, greatly enhancing its curb appeal. Given this experience, we would highly recommend Bluegrass Pavers for any hardscape project, whether it be driveways, patios, pool decks, or outdoor kitchens. We are extremely pleased.- Ed A.

Unlimited Landscapes IncI liked Steve, he had nice ideas, and he appeared to be experienced in landscaping. I purchased the: $49 for Custom Outdoor Living Space Design Including Measurements & Plans! on Jan 18th. Steve was in my area that day and stopped in for his initial review, rough measurements and discussions. During his visit Steve and I talked about the number of people that purchased the deal and I explained that the inclusion of drawings was what convinced me to buy. I have had other companies do free estimates and even draw up plans but I was not provided the plans unless I agreed to go with their service. On Jan 24th I received what was labeled an estimate with a list of materials and cost. I confirmed that the estimate covered what we had discussed and asked when the drawings would be provided for my wife and I to review. The offer clearly states: an outdoor living space design with to-scale drawing/footprint and measurements for only $49! Purchasers of this Big Deal will also receive $250-$500 off their hardscape project. This package is valued at $325, saving Angie’s List members up to $276. Initial to-scale drawings include measurements, layout, and elevations. After 2 weeks I still hadn't received a response from Steve and sent another message. Steve responded with: "Drawing plan with the square footage was emailed to you. As for your elevation with the estimate pertaining to the retaining wall you as the homeowner need to call MSD and St Matthews for their current regulations with your property being adjacent to a major creek/drainage area." At the end of the day, I am not happy that I paid $49 for what everyone would consider a free estimate. No effort was made to draw up or provide any to-scale drawings. I disagree with Steve that approximate square footage of a retaining wall and patio in an estimate is the same as a to-scale drawing/footprint or Initial to-scale drawings include measurements, layout, and elevations.- John S.

Initially, we needed 3 retaining walls and a large wooden deck replaced. We also wanted new landscaping put into place. Rather than replacing the walls and deck with similar construction, Jonathan suggested replacing the creekstone walls with engineered retaining walls, and instead of another wooden deck, install a paver patio. We spent several months finalizing the design specifications, and Jonathan worked with us to find materials, features, and plants which would meet our desires. His staff is very experienced with the construction of these engineered hardscapes. They are a very hard working group. The final product is a masterpiece and greatly exceeds our original expectations. We are so pleased with the outcome, and would not hesitate to use Jonathan and his crew in the future. Thank you Jonathan for giving our home the curb appeal we have always dreamed of.

Reached out to lambs lawn care and landscaping service for some landscaping in stone work done on our patio area and lady from the office called back fairly quick to set up an appointment for someone to come out and take a look and give us a quote. And some gentleman came out looked at the project. We were looking to have landscaping done upfront everything mulched and a mulch ring put around our Dogwood some bushes taken out and some emerald greens put in for privacy with mulch around them some landscaping done around our shed and our back landscape around our house we were wanting some plants put in and remulched and edged then were looking to have our patio concrete removed putting in a Paverstone patio and or going over the existing concrete and having a pergola built and looking at having a stone fire pit done as well and this was done back in I’ll believe late March Early April and here it is May 10 and still no response I am not sure how long this takes to get a quote but I feel that a enough time has passed that I should have received something. We do have another company that is taking on the project.

Everyone worked so hard and relentlessly regardless of the weather which had been so inclement at times. Rico is extremely talented when designing our driveway. His suggestions were welcomed and it turned out beautifully. This crew is in high demand and had some wait time to get to us but is was well worth the wait.
