If you’re looking for a paving company, I would just stop reading any more reviews and call RSA. The company was responsive, professional and the work was top notch. The parking lot looked so good afterwards, the business owners called, sent pictures and were thrilled by how much better the area looked. We have a small commercial business in DC that needed the parking lot desperately paved. To call some areas pot holes would have been kind. We had hired another company and their work was dismal. No pride in workmanship whatsoever. I called RSA after reading their reviews. Scheduling an appt was a breeze. I can’t tell you how important this turned out to be because I had been stood up by no less than 3 paving companies at that point. They either cancelled at the last minute or didn’t show up. Rich showed up at the appointed time. He assessed the site, gave me an estimate and started work w/in the next few days. The crew was professional from what I heard and the work was done very well. One other note concerning the integrity of the company and their commitment to customer satisfaction. We agreed on a certain rate and at the last minute I asked him to install two small speed bumps before I left. In my mind, I didn’t assume any incremental expense (assumed it’d just a little bit of extra asphalt). When I received the bill there was an incremental charge. I contacted Rich about this fee and as soon as I mentioned this, he indicted he completely understood the confusion, he should have stated there was an incremental fee and removed the charge. I would 100% work with them again.

Most of the reviews look very good and I think their responses are quite professional even for the few cases where people are registering dissatisfaction so this is a company I would have liked to have worked with. I contacted them on a Thu to schedule an onsite appt for an estimate quote that Saturday between 10 to 11. I made it very clear the property was in DC and the person Nick, indicated that was fine. I wanted to be sure there were no licensure issues at the outset. I sent pictures of the property and two additional follow up emails and a calendar invite for the mtg and asked him to confirm receipt of any of these. Saturday by 9:30 I still didn't receive a response so found a phone number online and sent a text saying I could still meet but needed confirmation. W/in 2 minutes I received a message back, apologizing for the delay but they do not work in the zip code. My only recommendation is they work on improving their communication.

This was a commercial job at an small office building. H&H brought out a large crew and lots of equipment to remove the old asphalt and install a new parking surface. Easy to work with and excellent work.

They gave an accurate estimate and they came out to do the work when they said they would. They did have to postpone the work a couple of times because of weather, otherwise there were no problems. They were very good overall.

Not good, promises made but not kept. Keep telling my contractor that the work was not good and till this date not good. This is junk that they put it keeps peeling off and its still soft after the winter and summer passed by. I am not an expert in paving and asphalt but this stuff looks like rubbish or recycled material they used from a different job site. DO NOT HIRE THEM. I WILL NEVER HIRE THEM AGAIN. COMPANY DOESNT EVEN HAVE A WEBSITE. I RATHER HIRE SOMEONE ELSE AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. IF THEY FIX MY PARKING LOT I WILL REMOVE THIS REVIEW. BUT UNTIL THEN THIS REVIEW STAYS HERE AND WHERE EVER ELSE I CAN REVIEW THEM.

They did a really good job. They were timely. It looks really nice, especially the pavement marking which was lacking before.

Mr. Nichols responded quickly. We had made several calls to companies not on Angie's list, who either didn't respond or provided exorbitant estimates. Mr. Nichols also provided useful information about possible reasons for the potholds and ways to prevent them. Everything went as planned.

We're very pleased with the results. Gus is the most accommodating contractor I've ever worked with. He dealt with a number of residents individual issues and weather issues to satisfy all our residents.

R & J Paving were nice to work with. They did have to come back because the lines on the parking lot weren't correct or the printings weren't put on dark enough. But I would say they came back and they totally corrected it. I would work with them again. They were very willing to do anything to satisfy the customer. They did came back to do what they were supposed to. We're satisfied with the job. Their prices are very good.

Tommy Troxler of Total Asphalt Maintenance educated us on the work needed for the church driveway and parking lots. He was more knowledgeable and helpful than 7 other companies we interviewed (and very competitive in price). We had a time constraint to do the work during a certain period in the summer when the nursery school was not in session. He worked extra hard to accommodate us in spite of rains straining his schedule. The work was done very professionally and neatly. Truly a great job and good people to work with!

They gave me a good price and they were very good. This was the first guy that did the job right and you could trust he did it correctly. The owner showed up and made sure the job was done correctly. This was the first time that I have used them. They got the job done in one day. The worker that did the job worked for them for 14 years, and the whole crew knew what they were doing

Rick Golobo and his crew did an outstanding job totally renovating our parking lot at an apartment building we operate in Washington DC. They gave a competitive price and delivered on it. We forgot to request striping and numbering of the parking spaces and were flexible enough to add them in after the contract was signed. They also installed bollards at the end of the job to stop the local trash contractors from using our lot to reverse their trucks which had caused a lot damage in the past. We would definitely recommend them for any sort of asphalt or resurfacing work based on our experience. We will definitely be using them again on similar projects.

R George's did a beautiful job on our driveway and made the property look the best it ever has. As promised, and a little more, they fixed existing problem areas, tied into existing hard scape, and paved our long driveway and parking lot seamlessly and left it looking great. All in one day. They even patched a sore spot in our shared driveway with neighbors that was not part of the deal but was a real problem solver for us. Highly recommend them.

I called up the company, received a response an hour or so later from Chad (awesome guy) to schedule me in for a quote, he came out the same day! He took a look at the driveway, asked what my vision was, and together we settled on removing 1500 sqft of asphalt and repaving roughly 2200 sqft with 2". Now to backtrack when I first spoke to Chad on the phone he confidently implied that he would be the first and the last quote I would receive for his company's service, to which, I chuckled a bit (internally thinking "yea right!") but I could applaud the confidence. Now down to the bottom line - the price. For all the services, not only did he come with a price I couldn't refuse, he even threw in removal of an additional 500 sqft feet of concrete walkway which I was quoted would cost me $1500 alone to remove and paved around my HVAC unit too! - I was quoted another $1200 to have concrete poured in that area. I contacted the company on a Thursday, they came out on the following Monday, arrived at 8am on the dot, and were done by 1pm - AMAZING. I now have a handsome looking driveway which is now level; it had dips and cracks everywhere, so I honestly feel that more than 2" of asphalt were used in some areas. And as I stated before, his workers even covered additional areas for consistency which were not even included in the quoted square footage, and removed of an eyesore of a walkway! I couldn't ask for more! My husband and I are more than happy. I would definitely recommend them again.

The professionals with Jim Stanley Asphalt were very responsive in terms of getting an estimate, and then arranging a date for the project to take place. This was also a touchy issue as weather (rain) conditions determine if it can be done, and notice was important with 7 other condominum residents who would have to vacate the lot. The contractor was very quick to arrange a second date after rain prevented our original date from working. They were also careful to seal the exact lot area and had no spillage or staining of the brick alley or brick building. I also found the price to be highly competitive and a good bargain for the dependable service. Finally, I was pleased they provided an assessment of their work and what they found, as well as advice when a preventative re-coating should take place. I highly recommend Jim Stanley Asphalt.

Thurmont Paving excavated, repaired, and paved two 200 foot long driveways and the 500 foot long private road in a day and a half. They used a course asphalt to cover the repaired sections and a finer grade asphalt to put a finish coat over the entire surface. They rolled and finished the surface and edges so the finished job looks great. The crew was knowledgeable, courteous, and very hard working. My neighbor was so impressed by their work that he gave them a job to pave a parking lot at his business too.
