Yaniel's Renovation LLC completed remodeling work, including putting in hardwood floors, installing cabinets, vanities, and doors, and interior painting. AJ is one of the best in the business. He previously did a complete tear down, remodel and expansion of the entire upstairs of my house and there was no one else I contemplated for this project. AJ and his team took out the ancient pipes under the basement floor, relaid new pipe, retiled the laundry room and bathroom, installed a shower and repainted. He is consistently courteous, polite, responds quickly, listens to concerns and has meticulous attention to detail. He always shows up on time and does what he says he is going to do. When it's time to remodel the porch, I'll be calling him again.

I have worked with Mason and his excellent crew on several projects…a basement dig-out renovation, a kitchen renovation, brick repointing, four bathroom gut/renos, and a living room/dining room gut and renovation. Obviously, I value his thoughtful cogent input, his excellent crew of various superb artisans, and his "brace and suspenders” thoroughness, or I would not have come back to work with him so many times! He is instantly available and totally reliable. The results of the work speak for themselves… these rooms are perfect and perfectly put together. I would not consider working with any other company. This is the second time I have hired Jose Munoz and his crew. This time I needed my entire house to be repainted and also needed replacement of the kitchen sink countertop, backsplash installation, installation of ceiling fan, recessed lights, fixing of sagging door and other items. Once again Jose proved to be great in what he does. He was very professional right from the beginning and did an excellent job. My house is old and there were many small problems popping everywhere but Jose was able to solve all of them quickly and to a very good quality. It is not easy to find a good general contractor in DC area and is even more difficult to find a reliable one. Jose is certainly one of the very few. We just finished a large remodel with Marks-Woods, including a new master suite/garage addition, kitchen expansion/renovation, and multiple other updates. It was basically a whole house remodel. We are thrilled with our choice to work with Marks-Woods! They were wonderful to work with, and gave us a finished product that is just spectacular (on schedule, no less). Greg was great about coordinating with our architect during the initial design phase, and helping us know what set their company apart. The designers were easy to work with, open to my ideas, and brought great ideas to the table. Drew was our project manager, and we feel like he's the best in the business. He communicates clearly, listens to concerns, keeps the work moving forward, and knows his stuff. Unexpected things will always come up in construction, but how your contractor handles those things, is the real hallmark of a great company. Drew and his guys were amazing at dealing with those things. They made sure I was 1000% happy with the work. They went to bat for us when a supplier was giving us issues, and always went the extra mile to make sure our project would be top notch. Our house is incredible, and we would absolutely go to Marks-Woods again in the future for any projects. Can't recommend them highly enough!

I worked with Talha Gursoy at Boss Desgin. Talha and my designer, Sean Okur, were a fabulous team. Sean is a talented designer, smart and fun. The customer service he provided during every phase of our kitchen remodel was exceptional. His attention to every detail insured the kitchen remodel went smoothly, was finished on time, and that the finished product met all of my expectations. We received quotes and designs from 4 different kitchen and bath re-modelers/renovators. Matt was our salesman, and he delivered all promises. Matt worked with us on our schedule conducting after hour visits at our home to do measurements, and hear what we were looking for. He met us at the showroom on a weekend, and presented a very professional 3D design based on our discussion, and worked with us to meet our budget by helping us select (gorgeous) cabinets/counters/flooring that were also within our price range of $15K for our small roughly 10x12 kitchen. They were able to start just four days after we signed the contract. They were so on point and on top of the project in terms of coordination, and efficiency. You could tell they are pros and have done this a few times :) John headed up the cabinets and countertop installation, and Rosario headed the flooring installation, both under the project management of Matt. I cannot stress how much I loved having this entire team complete this project. Start to finish, just nice guys who kicked butt and delivered a great finished product. but, the true sign of a great contractor is not when everything goes flawlessly, it is how they handle bumps in the road. Because... there will be bumps. Our floors were uneven. This is not their fault. As such, our floors did not come out right first go around. Rosario and Matt worked together to quickly (and at their own expense) remove the newly installed floors, even the floor, and re-install and STILL kept to the initial promised finish date. Start to finish, my wife and I were just thrilled with this project. We have contacted them again already for more work, and suggested them to two friends with similar jobs. A+ all the way around. Chris and Joe were great to work with. They kept us informed throughout the process and did exactly what they promissed. They kept on schedule even though we added two weeks of extra work to the intitial scope. We renovated the entire first floor to include removing the dining room wall and extending the kitchen into that space. We put in all new hard wood flooring through out. We completely renovated the fireplace in the family room. We added over thirty ceiling lights throughout. We opened the stairwell and added hard wood up the stairs to second floor. Lastly we moved the washer and dryer from our basement to the second floor (running all the ventilation, plumbing and electrical). Their employees were always punctual, professional, courteous and cleaned up at the end of each day. The work performed was expertly done. Ask for the crew with “Bud & Abraham,” they were on mine and the work was meticulous and awesome. The owner Chris, helped us make some difficult decisions throughout the process offering his design expertise. He knew what we wanted even though we couldn’t quite articulate it. He guided us through the selection of paint colors, countertops and backsplash. The final product looks like it should be on HGTV or in a Magazine. My family and I are so appreciative of Chris and his company for making this project run smoothly and without any issues. We couldn’t have asked for a better renovation experience. I can not give them a high enough score on this rating system. Without reservation or hesitation, I’d give them 100% recommendation. Jeff P.
