My husband and I renovated a 1975 modern house built by an architect and his wife as their home. We wanted to honor their vision and modernize it for our family, which meant we had some pretty specific carpentry work we needed done. We sought out proposals for a curved zebrawood veneer wall in our closet, and Dave's was the best one and he came very highly recommended. We also asked him to make large teak veneer doors to match existing ones, along with draw fronts and cabinet doors and shelves throughout the house. I wish I could include a photo because the finished product exceeded our expectations. He's professional, creative, masterful, and has a high level of perfection. We have already recommended him to friends and would use his services again in a heartbeat.

Almost since we moved into our house 5 years ago, we’ve wanted to have two custom pieces of furniture built: a long, built-in shoe bench by the front door and a custom bed to optimize the space in an upstairs bedroom. Jed did both absolutely beautifully. Each piece looks like it was originally part of the house, works exactly like we wanted and more than a year later still looks just as gorgeous and has held up flawlessly. That’s despite being used and abused by a family of 4 including a 2 year old and a 5 year old. The shoe bench did the impossible of both making our entryway look much less crowded and also expanding the amount of storage space we had by at least a factor of 3. We finally have enough space for all of our shoes and had extra space for packages, reusable grocery sacks, and backpacks. The bed took a room that wasn’t really big enough to play in between the dresser, bed and desk and made it into a space that had more storage and also enough space for our 5 year old to really play in and enjoy his room. At each step of the way, Jed was meticulously detail-focused and worked with us to get everything exactly the way we wanted. That included things like using leathered granite on the benchtop so that it was as durable as stone, but wouldn’t show small scratches from keys in pockets, making the bed so it could be rotated 90 degrees, and adding adjustable feet to raise the bed as the carpet under it inevitably sagged. Jed also brought his own aesthetic sense to the projects. The molding he put along the bottom of the shoe bench took it from being a very-nice-looking shoe bench to something that I can’t imagine having been done better that perfectly matches it’s surroundings. The feet on the bed and the inset detail on the side of the bench and drawers on the bed also come from his vision. We could not be happier with the work and they’re the two most impactful improvements we’ve made to the inside of our house since we moved in. We have a few more plans for improvements we’d like to make including an unconventionally shallow closet in an upstairs bedroom that we will definitely have Jed back to do.

Jed worked with us and our designer through discussions and redesigns to get a finished product. We appreciated his input and willingness to adjust as we went along. The finished product is beautiful and very professionally done.

I cannot say enough good things about Jed Dinger Design. Every step of the way, I was impressed with Jed's communication and attention to detail. I vaguely knew what I wanted in terms of a built-in bookcases and entertainment console for our small DC rowhouse living room, but Jed really brought it to life - first with a series of questions that helped me describe and narrow down what I wanted, and then with amazing detailed drawings that really let us see how it would look. The installation team was extremely professional and friendly, and the end result is even better than I could have pictured. I am in love with my living room and am already trying to figure out what projects I can have this team do for me! Highly recommend.

We had Brave Custom Woodworking Solutions design, build and install a new wall entertainment center. We are very happy with the final product. We are impressed with their attention to detail and the responsiveness to our comments. They went to great lengths to insure that the style and paint color matched our existing crown molding. They worked with us in designing bookcase so that it was attractive and functional, including a customized pull-out computer laptop tray. The installation team did a great job and even added extra bracing so that we can mount a television on the unit and concealed the wires. Highly recommend.

We hired Jed and his fantastic team for two projects in our home, a built in entertainment center in our family room and a storage system in our mudroom. Jed was always quick to respond, was patient with us as we worked through our vision, and delivered earlier than expected! The installation process was done over two days for both projects and was done with as minimal disruption as possible. Great. Pascal spec'd the requirements, designed a nice box with felt base and inset, and executed it beautifully. Pascal is also very personable and easy-going, so it was overall a pleasure to find him and have him do this work for us.

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!! We are new to Northern VA and our real estate agent referred Kelvin. Kelvin came to our home as scheduled to discuss our project. He listened to our ideas and added his own suggestions to come up with a custom mud room that is designed to meet our needs. He provided a very competitive quote in a timely fashion. Kelvin built most of the mud room at his studio, then came to our home and installed it in 2 1/2 days. His attention to detail, style and overall excellent quality are the best I have seen! The unit is a beautiful custom built-in unit that I just LOVE! Finally, Kelvin is a true professional, he listened to our needs, delivered what was promised and was respectful to our home during his construction (never was there a spec of dirt anywhere). Kelvin is also starting a custom built office for us valued at nearly $20k (and I have several other projects after that!). I would HIGHLY recommend Kelvin Veney of The Craft.

It was awesome. Bernard and his team were extremely thorough, helping us think through every element. They were quick to come on site, take measurements, put together an extremely detailed budget with great drawings, and discuss what the timeline would be. I felt informed every step of the way. They completely gutted part of the basement, rerouted plumbing, built out a laundry closest, built in desk, Murphy bed, shelving, and a bench. Outside they built out a fantastic custom storage unit that fits the home perfectly. The quality and craftsmanship are second to none, it all looks incredible. We are ecstatic with the outcome. They produced a great product and were an absolute pleasure to work with. We cannot recommend Bernard and his team highly enough.

Everything was great from start to finish. Design consultant was very knowledgeable and patient, good communication through the whole process and the installers were very professional and careful.

They worked around my busy work and travel schedule for measuring my space, asking for my input on a number of design options, then scheduled an appointment at their show room to review their design, consider options for cabinets, flooring and counter top. All interactions were very professional, they listened to my ideas and provided options that I would not have thought of without a kitchen design specialist. A+ work product.

Melvin and his crew are outstanding! I was amazed by his skills, professionalism, honesty and care. I reached out to him desperately on a Sunday, after the first person I hired did not come with the proper equipment to paint the interior of my home. Melvin came out to do the job THE SAME DAY. I gave him more to do when I realized he had a broader skill set. He wrapped up the entire project: painting, lighting, cabinetry AND custom shelves in two days. I will definitely hire him again as I map out other home improvements projects I’ve got left to do.

A neighbor referred Pro Edge to us a few years ago when the HOA said we needed to paint our soffit trim. Pr Edge came in with the best price, the work was done accurately and swiftly. They cleaned up. Next we hired them to paint our interior. Great price, fast work, cleaned up. This time the project was large and included power washing brick around our front door, the removal and repair of a large area of dry rot around a large bay window, and painting all of the trim in the front of the house to match the new paint on the bay window. The carpentry was top notch and the work completed quickly. The price was reasonable for the amount of work they did. Many houses in our area have had the same dry rot issue. We all share quotes. Quotes for very similar repairs are running $2k-$4k.

A wonderful experience. Closets were installed quickly, professionally, and no drama. The crew came back a week later to install a drawer that arrived broken from the warehouse and finish some minor trim details. Finished product looks great and is well made.

I called New york lifestyle and made an appointment with Alex to discuss my ideas for my new office . After our meeting in my house Alex generated a plan that i really loved . he suggested to use cherry wood with shaker design doors for my cabinets and he did a magnificent stressed antique look stain on the unit. he managed to finish this project in 2 weeks and met my dead line. I am glad that i used his services and i am really happy with his work.

Al and his team were excellent. The entire project was finished in the time that was quoted. They were extremely neat and clean. Would definitely hire them again for future projects.
