I worked with Tom Bowers and Tyler Swavely with Anthony & Sylvan to design and build a pool in our new house. Due to the public health emergency, we unfortunately knew we were not going to be able to have a big birthday party for my daughter. So, in building the pool, I asked Anthony & Sylvan up front if we would be able to have the pool complete and ready to swim by her birthday for a small family birthday pool party. Despite a busy summer with COVID-19 restrictions, the Anthony & Sylvan crew delivered quickly, worked around some tough weather conditions (rain), and ultimately delivered on an amazing pool. The pool was right on point with what I was thinking in our design, and the Anthony & Sylvan team helped to turn what I was thinking into reality - and better than what I was thinking. My pool couldnt even be called a pool at the time an estimate was provided. The previous owner of my home atempted to turn a liner pool into a concrete pool and use kitchen tiles along the wall. Needless to say the base of the pool cracked, broke and I could literally see dirt. The service manager at Subcomm pools communicated their concerns and the quoted price along with their plan of action. They communicated consistently and always kept me abreast of what was going on. They are very courteous and will go the extra mile to ensure I was satisfied. They took the time to answer any questions that I had. They also directed me to reading material that assisted with the maintenance of my pool. Very courteous staff and hard working. They were in the heat of the sun and still kept driving on. I would bring them a pitcher of water and ice everyday and they were very grateful.

Elite Pools
Elite Pools is one of the few pool contractors with a license in the District of Columbia. Elite Pools installed an in-ground concrete pool, rectangular, 36'x18', with diving board. They also installed concrete decking. It was a good experience, particularly from the point of view of costs, some of which were presented a la carte. I would recommend them to others.

They did an excellent job. This is the company that many of the pool companies subcontract with for pool plastering, coping repair and tile work. If you go to one of the pool companies, you might get Wilcoxon and you would pay more than if you went to them directly. A neighbor got several estimates from the big pool companies and Wilcoxon was a fraction of those estimates.

The project was to install a new pool from scratch. We started in Oct with the design of the pool. Overall the design process went well. The excavation took place in December and the concrete for the walls went in in Jan. From here, the schedule completely fell apart. Despite the amount of money you will pay for the pool, you as the customer will be expected to perform a lot of the oversight of the sub contractors and you are on the hook to clean up after them. March turned into April. By late April, we had figured out that our project manager had left the pool company. Our project made slow progress but by mid May the pool pump equipment was installed. By early June the pool deck was poured and the water was put in by the end of June. Despite having a new project manager, you will not see the PM on days when big events are happening, you will be on your own to make sure the project is put in correctly and that the sub contractors clean up after themselves. It is now late August and the pool has failed county inspection three times for various different issues. Do you expect hiccups along the way on a big project like a pool - Yes and we had quite a few. After all was said and done, A&S corporate headquarters stepped in and is doing what they can to ensure the project gets finished in the manner it should of be. Will you get a pool installed - Yes. Will you have to do a lot of supervision - Yes. However, for the amount of money that you will spend and how long you will look at the final product, I find it difficult to recommend using this company.

The Company was quick to answer all our questions and very helpful. They even added extra tile to the stairs. The renovations far exceeded our expectations and the plastering and bonding I would highly recommend because it made our pool so beautiful and new again. We were able to pick out beautiful new tile for our entire pool. This pool was really built solid as when we took off the coping we were not sure what to expect, and it was in good shape with no structural damage so we just up-graded our look. We look forward to enjoying our Anthony & Sylvania pool for many years to come. I would highly recommend them to build or do your pool.

Recent Review: They were extremely professional in their presentation. They were punctual with their estimate and getting the estimate back also. They were punctual when they came to look at the job too. When they came to look at the job they expedited every process from scratch to the final process. They built a $150,000 pool within nine days. They did a pretty good job.
Super Service Award Recent Review: Troy and his team were on point! They leveled a 38x18 foot rectangle for a swimming pool on a 15 degree grade hill! They also did not leave a huge pile of dirt for us to deal with and planting grass. They were punctual and pleasant to have at the house working.
Recent Review: We worked with Sean and crew for the interior work first. We liked his professionalism, creative ideas, trustworthiness, and responsiveness. His crew worked hard and were also conscientious. Because our house is old, there were many existing conditions that were discovered once walls and floors were demolished which resulted in extra change orders. But this would have happened with any company. We found Sean and team to be trustworthy and in general very pleasant to work with. The office staff are super nice too and dealt well with city for permits etc. We liked Regal so much that we asked them to do a big exterior renovation as well. We love our house inside and out. Anybody who knew the BEFORE situation are blown away by the changes. We recommend Regal to our friends and would definitely use them again for any renovation work.
Recent Review: He dose landscaping but he also does design work. He is very good at it. For any pool design, patio design and landscaping design I would call J & G Landscaping company. I think he prices his job. He comes out generally and will give me an estimate then I can decide what I can afford and what I don’t want. He comes out and looks at the landscape and he listens to what the home owner wants. Then he will prepare a bid and it’s a written bid. I keep using them because of their professionalism. They are a mark of a very good company especially in landscaping. The people that work for Jeff and his brother Greg, they stay with the company. They have a real dedication to their workers and their workers are well paid. I am impressed with that. During the holidays they do all kinds of things with their workers. They have family events for their worker’s family. This is hard, hard back breaking work. They are apparently paying them very well and they are treating them very well. That’s the kind of company I hire. I will not say they are cheap. I have Jeff come out and we talk about what’s going to be done. He doesn’t bargain. I get a fair days jobs work for a fair days pay. He is worth it. Given the fact that he pays his people well, I wouldn’t want him to cut corners. I have an appointment with him in 2 weeks.

Recent Review: Everything went as planned. ?The pool arrived on January 12, 2015 and was put in the ground and filled the next day. ?The cement company came a few days later for around the pool. ?They then cleaned the pool, put chemicals in, and showed us how to maintain the pool. It came out beautifully. ?We are very happy and recommend Carolina Creations if you are planning to have a pool.
