I like that HSE is a research focused university. Besides, it is great that HSE offers a wide range of programmes, both in Russian and in English, and invites visiting scholars from different parts of the world. What’s more, you can get a full tuition scholarship, which was very important for me because it has allowed me to truly focus on my studies.

I believe that I made the right choice enrolling at HSE. So far, everything that is offered here in regards to classes and other events has been very satisfactory. I feel that more and more I am in an institution that has enormous importance for Russia. The teachers in our STI programme are highly qualified. I feel that this programme will lead to many employment opportunities.

It’s a great opportunity for me to study at HSE in the Population and Development Programme.  This Programme covers important issues concerning my country. I feel that the Programme is equipping me with relevant knowledge and skills as well as enhancing my analytical and conceptual ability on diverse social ideas and approaches.

When I was researching programmes after finishing my architecture degree, I became really interested in HSE’s programme Prototyping Future Cities because it offered something I wanted to specialize in – the development of smart cities. The programme is definitely beneficial for me and I am able to learn quite a lot. It blends the expertise of professionals from different fields –architecture, design, business, and urban development – and gives us integrated knowledge and skills.

I come from an engineering background and I have been working with Engineering, R&D and the Analytics teams in telecommunications, so I needed a programme that would be an amalgam of business, informatics, and analytics. HSE is one of the finest schools in Russia and it is highly ranked on a number of university rankings, such as QS and the Times Higher Education. For that reason alone the programme in Big Data Systems was an obvious choice.

HSE has been an amazing journey, both academically and socially. Being located in Moscow, it is an ideal way to immerse oneself in Russian culture. The quality of teaching and services offered by HSE is of the highest standard. My Master’s in Applied Social Psychology reinforced my passion for this field of work. Studying at HSE makes me feel at home.

As an international student, I felt settled and welcomed from the very first day I arrived at HSE.  So far, being part of the Public Policy and Political Analysis programme has been a life changing experience for me because of the immense store of knowledge it offers and also because of the positive impact on my own professional competence as a social scientist. Furthermore, the international environment allowed me to get a deeper understanding of socio-political issues around the globe.
