Once I found out the warranty company wasn't going to fix/replace my unit. Howardaire took no time to get it up and running again. The repair men were very respectful,nice and cleaned up after themselves.

I honestly don't know if I can express how impressed I was with Jim Hays and Co. I based my decision solely on the reviews from the company that had a LARGE number of reviews and the 9 that were submitted on Jim's company. I did not see a single complaint over pricing, all the reviews were positive and reassuring. We lost power to the heat pump leaving the inside of our house warmer than the outside temp.
I called Jim's number and explained all the steps I took to eliminate and troubleshoot on my own. The fuse in the handler was good, breakers were good too, everything looked good from a non HVAC professionals point of view. Jim gave me Jeff's number, his son. I called Jeff and gave him the down and dirty. He was at a job and could get to us in the evening, he was in the middle of installing a unit when I called. I then rec'd a text from Jeff stating that he can meet me at our house at 2:00 instead of 5:00 as we agreed upon, that is HUGE in my book, earlier than later. When I got home, he was already diagnosing the problem, running up into the attic and me following. I asked him if I could listen to what he was explaining to Taylor, she has been with the company learning for, I think about 3 years. That was impressive, not being thrown into the fire like other HVAC companies after the tech "graduates" from HVAC school out there trying to sell upgrades that really aren't needed. I asked for some business cards so I could keep, good, honest and fair companies are hard to find. Jeff figured out what the problem was, the "idiot", me, who installed the thermostat 2.5 years ago, cut the red "hot" line by mistake when I installed the thermostat. Jeff in a matter of minutes performed magic, replaced the faceplate, ran up in the attic and twisted wires, replaced the wire nuts and all of a sudden the unit kicked on. We went outside and he tested the pressure, and explained what his displays were showing him. At no point did he give the classic upcharge line of, "you need freon", being truthful and honest will win me over every time. I have never had such a pleasant experience in my life! My last house in Winchester I paid for freon and then they told me I have a crack in the copper. EES&CE Inc will be coming out to repair our gas fireplace in the fall. They were a joy to have them in our house this afternoon. I plan on using them for other repairs I care not to take on. I know I rambled on raving about Jim and Jeff but you WILL NOT be disappointed by selecting them over the other contractors in the area. Jeff's professionalism won me over and will win you over too.

Derek, Vance, Juan and Brandon with Taylor Construction Services Heat & Air did a fantastic job under extremely difficult circumstances. They removed an old inoperative unit that could not be serviced due to its tight location after the renovation of our 1912 house. They promptly replaced the unit with a new Carrier Heat Pump and supplied and adapted all the new components to attic space that allows for easy servicing. They exceeded my expectations and were easy to work with. Chip Young promptly met me to understand what I needed and bid the project beating two other firms with expertise and a good price.

Reid Gravitte and his teams at afterhourshomeimprovement LLC are the definition of customer service. I contacted Reid on Saturday evening, he returned my call and scheduled an appointment as quickly as possible. The team of Walter and Walter took all measures to ensure a clean and safe environment, booties, plastic sheeting and masks are obviously standard protocol.
Two others could not find the source of my problem, Walter& Walter were methodical they tested every electrical outlet to find the source of my problem, they had an attitude of searching through a process of elimination.
The switch boxes in my guest bathroom, master bathroom and outdoor deck had wires crossed, were not GFI, but were hot. A fire hazard and a major safety issue. After fixing the boxes all were caulked and properly sealed.
My immune system is severely compromised socially distancing is of utmost importance. The team was aware of my situation and took every precaution to protect me while they worked. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Their professionalism, competence and attention detail will have me contacting Reid Gravitte at afterhourshomeimprovement LLC for any future home improvements or repairs.

The owner/technician arrived on schedule and promptly diagnosed the problem that my A/C was experiencing. Very professional and focused.
He completed the job in less than an hour and explained each step as he went along repairing my system. He also gave me Discounts for most of the work. No doubt in my mind that he saved me hundreds of dollars in repair work and the most important thing - he was honest. Would highly recommend.

Brian replaced our second floor unit several weeks ago and we are so pleased with his service. Most noticeable are the comfortable temperatures and the quietness of the unit he installed.
