My wife and I have used kefficient before when we were having issues with our basement. They did an awesome job for us before, so when we decided to encapsulate our crawl space we knew exactly who to use. They came out and once again were fast, professional, and did an amazing job encapsulating. Our house and air quality feel so much better now. Thank you again! I honestly don't know if I can express how impressed I was with Jim Hays and Co. I based my decision solely on the reviews from the company that had a LARGE number of reviews and the 9 that were submitted on Jim's company. I did not see a single complaint over pricing, all the reviews were positive and reassuring. We lost power to the heat pump leaving the inside of our house warmer than the outside temp.
I called Jim's number and explained all the steps I took to eliminate and troubleshoot on my own. The fuse in the handler was good, breakers were good too, everything looked good from a non HVAC professionals point of view. Jim gave me Jeff's number, his son. I called Jeff and gave him the down and dirty. He was at a job and could get to us in the evening, he was in the middle of installing a unit when I called. I then rec'd a text from Jeff stating that he can meet me at our house at 2:00 instead of 5:00 as we agreed upon, that is HUGE in my book, earlier than later. When I got home, he was already diagnosing the problem, running up into the attic and me following. I asked him if I could listen to what he was explaining to Taylor, she has been with the company learning for, I think about 3 years. That was impressive, not being thrown into the fire like other HVAC companies after the tech "graduates" from HVAC school out there trying to sell upgrades that really aren't needed. I asked for some business cards so I could keep, good, honest and fair companies are hard to find. Jeff figured out what the problem was, the "idiot", me, who installed the thermostat 2.5 years ago, cut the red "hot" line by mistake when I installed the thermostat. Jeff in a matter of minutes performed magic, replaced the faceplate, ran up in the attic and twisted wires, replaced the wire nuts and all of a sudden the unit kicked on. We went outside and he tested the pressure, and explained what his displays were showing him. At no point did he give the classic upcharge line of, "you need freon", being truthful and honest will win me over every time. I have never had such a pleasant experience in my life! My last house in Winchester I paid for freon and then they told me I have a crack in the copper. EES&CE Inc will be coming out to repair our gas fireplace in the fall. They were a joy to have them in our house this afternoon. I plan on using them for other repairs I care not to take on. I know I rambled on raving about Jim and Jeff but you WILL NOT be disappointed by selecting them over the other contractors in the area. Jeff's professionalism won me over and will win you over too.

Reid Gravitte and his teams at afterhourshomeimprovement LLC are the definition of customer service. I contacted Reid on Saturday evening, he returned my call and scheduled an appointment as quickly as possible. The team of Walter and Walter took all measures to ensure a clean and safe environment, booties, plastic sheeting and masks are obviously standard protocol.
Two others could not find the source of my problem, Walter& Walter were methodical they tested every electrical outlet to find the source of my problem, they had an attitude of searching through a process of elimination.
The switch boxes in my guest bathroom, master bathroom and outdoor deck had wires crossed, were not GFI, but were hot. A fire hazard and a major safety issue. After fixing the boxes all were caulked and properly sealed.
My immune system is severely compromised socially distancing is of utmost importance. The team was aware of my situation and took every precaution to protect me while they worked. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Their professionalism, competence and attention detail will have me contacting Reid Gravitte at afterhourshomeimprovement LLC for any future home improvements or repairs.

The subgrade crawl space and exterior cinder block foundation wall of our 65-year old house was deteriorating to the point where it was structurally unsound. This area contains our hot water heater, whole house water filter, sump pump, and water, sewer, HVAC, and dryer lines and pipes. An independent structural engineer inspected and prepared a detailed remediation recommendation. Over a 6-week period, despite harsh winter weather, BTL Homes did a complete rebuild of the exterior wall, installed ceiling supports and a new sump pump, rebuilt the steps into the space, and waterproofed and installed exterior drains. We were able to stay in our home during this project. They did an excellent job remediating the cellar and responded to our requests for additional clean-up to the surrounding area that had been disturbed by the excavation and construction. We can certainly recommend BTL Homes for this type of work, as their process is fair and well managed.

I was thoroughly pleased with the fine quality of work provided by The Basement Pros in leveling my sidewalk. The work was done by the owner himself, Peter Garvin, and Alexis, one of his experienced workers. I am completely satisfied with every aspect of the work done by Peter and Alexis. They arrived on time after giving me a call and spent over 90 minutes on the job. They answered any questions I asked and graciously explained the poly foam method used to level the sidewalk. They took their time injecting the poly foam, insuring it was done in the most efficient manor. They made sure not to rush the injection of the poly, examining the progress of the leveling many times throughout the job. I was very impressed with the teamwork of Peter and Alexis during the process. They consulted and advised each other as the work progressed. I found them both to be very professional and personable. The same can be said of Yana in the office. I have every confidence in quality of work done for me. They were very respectful of my property, cleaning up everything as they finished. They also asked if I had any questions or concerns about the job when they finished. Obviously I did not. I truly feel that I could not have had a better experience than I did with The Basement Pros. It is certainly gratifying to have an outstanding company do an outstanding job for me. I give them my very highest recommendation without any reservations.
