Outdoor Makeover & Living SpacesThis is our 2nd project with the outdoor team. Our first project was in October 2019 and we reached out to start our 2nd project in May 2020. Working in phases helped us to stay in budget and was a great decision for us. The Outdoor team had our phase 2 patio and covered pergola done by July 1. (Cost for phase 2 was $39,000) So about 6 weeks to complete our incredible project. My favorite thing about the Outdoor crew is that every one of their workers does high quality work. They truly treat your project as if they were working on their own yard. Although this is an outdoor space it feels like we gained more living square footage on our house. Functional, comfortable, and attractive, it was a great way to enhance our home’s value.- Heidi N.

ARNOLD Masonry & LandscapeArnold Masonry did an A+ job with our outdoor project! We had a small flagstone patio that we wanted expanded and the final product blended the new/old stonework perfectly. We also added a stone fireplace that we couldn't be more pleased with. The owner Scott was always providing updates and his team completed the job faster than anticipated. Michelangelo?s actually listened to what we wanted and offered extensive detail into the work involved so we were well informed on the project from beginning to end. The work was completed perfectly and on-time. The crew that worked on our patio was very professional and courteous, despite the heat and being rained out twice. This company was not the cheapest nor the most expensive bid I received, they were right in the middle, but after the initial meeting I was certain they had the most knowledge, would do the best work and stand behind it. Michaelangelo's Sustainable Landscape & DesignMy experience from beginning to end with Michaelangelo's was excellent. I contacted them through Angie's List and Kathy, the office manager, quickly scheduled an appointment with Mr. Jim Perez at a convenient time for me. Our front yard had a slope with an erosion problem, no landscaping on the left side of the driveway, and our backyard had these large flower beds in the middle of the yard - placed there by a previous owner - that had mostly just turned to weeds. As if that weren't enough, our backyard contained the remains of what had been a large fountain, that was currently just accumulating muck. Yuck! We received a detailed estimate with good solutions to make the backyard an usable and clean space. I liked that the estimate included re-using as much as possible what was in the backyard to work within my budget for this project. The estimate also contained multiple options, with their pricing, so we could make an informed decision of what we wanted to do. Once the estimate was sent to me, Mr. Perez followed up with a call to ensure I understood what the estimate covered. This was excellent, as it allowed me to discuss and ask for modifications (different groundcover) and confirm which of the options for the flower beds we wanted. He quickly made the modifications to the estimate. I was thrilled that they were able to schedule the work that same week! On the day they were scheduled to begin (a Thursday), it was raining, so unfortunately we had to push back the work until Monday morning, but Jim and Juan, the foreman, still came over to the property on that day,to review everything that needed to be done. The crew arrived, as scheduled on Monday morning, and they knew what they had to do. The crew did an excellent work. I was pleased that there were 3-5 guys working on the different projects, which helped with finishing the work quickly. We had a delay on one of the days due to a problem with the truck, but they let me know that same morning and they brought 5 guys the following day to ensure the work would be completed. I was very happy with how well the crew dug into the edge between the slope and the street, so that the mulch would stay put and not slide into the sidewalk. They did a great job cleaning up the flower beds and covering them with pea gravel. The fire pit looks beautiful - the stones were high quality and the color worked perfectly with the gravel. The plants and mulch were just as we discussed and they were very healthy. The crew left everything clean and they tidied up as much as possible every day. They always took their trash with them and they were very courteous. All in all, the work was done in a timely manner, working with my budget, addressing the issues I needed addressed. Michaelangelos offered a landscape architect with credit for the design towards the landscaping. Bruce, the architect, was so knowledgeable and creative and really listened to our needs and wants in the backyard design but also was careful to incorporate the limitations of the space we had and make it a true living space. Michael the owner reviewed the plan and provide insights to help us manage cost. The team showed up on time every day, were very pleasant and professional, and did great work. Everyone at Michaelangelos was eager to please the customer. It was the first contract service I have enjoyed the process, project, and especially the people. Michael is EXTREMELY responsive via text, phone, and stopping by the work site. The team onsite is respectful and hard working. We love our backyard after 17 years of hating it. Michaelangelo's Sustainable Landscape & DesignWe have been using Michaelangelo's for our yard maintenance for the past 1 1/2 years. They got our over-grown property in great and manageable shape, and have continued to keep it looking beautiful. Recently, we wanted some extra grading and yard design done, as well as, adding a substantial outdoor fireplace and cooking area. Also, extending the flagstone area around our pool. So, the project was not a small one!! They have recently finished the project and we could not be any happier!! We knew we would be happy with the landscaping based on past experience, but the fireplace was new territory for us with Michaelangelo's. This was a "from scratch design".....literally me showing them a picture, drawing a sketch on notebook paper, and then the both of us determining the appropriate measurements. Michael and his team took all the time needed (and more) to make sure we were satisfied with every detail. Even if it meant changing something that had already been done. In fact, they went one step further. We had natural gas run to our fireplace for starting purposes, and the plumber (not associated with Michaelangelo's) that installed the gas line did it in a way that was not convenient from a staring perspective (long story short). Anyway, Juan, our project foreman, suggested that we do it differently to be more accommodating. He researched the appropriate way it should be done and made the changes. The finished product is amazing and it is just how I envisioned it! And on top of the excellent work, the entire team is so friendly and engaging and I would trust them to any future work I want done at my home. They go above and beyond to make sure the customer is satisfied. And we are most definitely satisfied!! Thank you Michaelangelo's....job well done!!!! We love it!!!- Cindy H.
