The technician (kevin) was very courteous and patient. He had to take apart the drain assembly to diagnose the problem which he believed was drain blockage - and he was correct. Unfortunately, the main screw was stripped, and he had to be quite inventive to convert a Phillips Head Screw into a slot screw. It proved to be a messy and time consuming repair. I believe their price was very fair considering the work involved.

My experience with Strauss Photo Technical was a complete disaster. It took three months for them to fix my Samsung dishwasher. They first came to assess the problem and charged me $65. but never gave me an estimate. It took two weeks to hunt down an estimate and to arrange for them to apply the $65. I paid to be put towards their return visit as no work or estimate had been provided. Once estimate was provided, they asked me to pay for the parts in advance which I thought was odd but after checking with Samsung they assured me this was proper protocol. So I paid for the parts. And waited two months for service. Each week, I would call them and be either put on hold (once for 45 minutes) or they would disconnect me. I then got Samsung involved so that the vendor would return my calls. When Strauss photo technical finally returned my call, they told me the parts were on back order for the last two months. During that time, they never once reached out to communicate that to me. When they did come to fix the dishwasher, the parts were faulty so they had to return back another time to fix it. The repair man was very nice and thorough -- that was the only part of this experience that was worth being positive about. My dishwasher is now fixed after three aggravating months of chasing down this vendor. In summary, I would rate them an "F" on customer service due to their lack of communication after they had taken my check and not returned to fix my dishwasher until 2 months later.

Excellent service. Very courteous and professional. They asked me for model numbers of affected appliances so technician could order the parts ahead of time. Once parts were in we scheduled the technician on Saturday evening. Ali came during the time window scheduled and completed the work within an hour. He had to pull the dishwasher out and was very careful not to scratch our hardwood floor. Would definitely use them again.

The person came on Thursday as scheduled for the initial appointment. At that time he did not have the appropriate part to repair the dishwasher. He gave me a reasonable estimate for the work and said that he would order it and be back on Friday to install it. He did not show up or contact me on Friday about the work. I phoned and received their voice mail, so I left a message for him to contact me. It is now Sunday and I have not heard back from them. Needless to say I have gone with another repair company.

This group is one of the few that can service Samsung dishwashers. They sent one person out first who didn't know how to service this kind, but then promptly sent back a tech who was familiar with them. Then the diagnosed that we needed a new "main board" because it wasn't drying properly, and they said they would order the part and come back. We had to call after a week to remind them to order the part, and call back to schedule the appointment once the part came in. But then the tech came and did a great job installing the new part and it's working well now. Every time we called, TIna was very courteous, knowledgable and easy to work with. Ali was a great technician.

The service man arrived 30 minutes early. Under normal conditions that would have been great but I have a dog and would have had him in the bedroom so he would not have caused any concerns. It was obvious that the person did not want to be here. He questioned why there wasn't any water in the bottom of the dishwasher and I told him that my husband had bailed the water out so it wouldn't become stagnant and smell (this was now day 4). The serviceman "tried" to move the dishwasher out so he could access the back but said he couldn't do it and that we would have to pull the dishwasher out for him to work on it. It was readily apparent that he did not want to be at my home or bothered with our issue. He also said that if it was a problem with the hose we would have to get a plumber because the warranty company wouldn't pay for it. I did not expect the warranty to pay for anything that was not part of the mechanical functioning of the dishwasher. I just wanted my dishwasher working. After he said we would have to pull it out he packed up and left.

Alan was on time and very professional. In addition to repairing the fill tank problem, he also fixed our kick plate which had been catching the dishwasher door and making a loud popping noise when opening and closing the door! He insured that the machine was level, rerouted the electrical cables and the drain hose to remove kinks and to make extra room for the dishwasher to be recessed under the counter top. I will definitely use him for our next repair and will recommend him to anyone.
