Washington Energy ServicesWe had Washington Energy Service install a new furnace, air conditioner and hot water heater when we purchased our home in 2016. We were impressed with the presentation made by their representative prior to our purchase compared to other representatives with whom we spoke. Because we wanted to be insured, we purchased an extended warranty. We're really glad we did! We have had the system serviced annually, but this year an extensive leak developed that damaged the interior of our home and caused black mold. We initially notified our insurance company but then decided we should notify Washington Energy Service as well. The decontamination had begun, but the damage was evident. The Washington Energy Service representative was so very helpful and understanding. He immediately determined what needed to be done to correct the problem and within two days had a team to our home to complete the repair. We appreciate the professionalism, courtesy, honesty and rapid response with which Washington Energy Service treated us and would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a good local company. MM Comfort Systems installed a heat pump HVAC/air scrubber along with replacing an aging electrical panel and we couldn't be more pleased with the end result. They did not sub-contract out any of the work and made sure we were 100% satisfied with the final product. Tom & Jordan were very professional and they didn't mind me being curious and nerdy about "how things work". When drilling for the thermostat wire, the in-ceiling power line to the water heater was accidentally damaged (just bad luck) and when we realized the next day that we had no hot water, they sent out a team ASAP who quickly identified the cause and made it right. I would not hesitate to recommend MM Comfort Systems!

John provided great service and got the job done! For sure, I would hire again. However, I rated a B because the total cost was not 1) what I was quoted and 2) was given to me after the service was done. This would not have changed the outcome (I would have said yes do it) but customers should be informed of what the cost will be before anything is fixed.

First, I had considered a few options: repair existing and install either a new water heater or change to tankless electric. When Green City called to set up a time to develop a bid, I asked to speak with a technician. Jeff answered and led me through very logical decision tree which led to them replacing my 50 gallon tank. I was very impressed with the information he provided regarding the various alternatives. He asked how the old water heater had performed, and If I was happy with its performance why would I want to change. Made sense to me. Their bid was quite fair, they came out and completed the installation when they said they would. Presto hot water and they hauled away the old water heater. I had a couple of meetings that I needed to attend to that morring and because they were so punctual and efficient I made both meetings,

1. Incorrect charge - they were supposed to charge the $165 service fee on the day they came to diagnose, but they charged me nearly $700 2. They did not provide itemize charges, and at nearly almost $700, it was almost the cost of a regular water heater, so excessive charge. 3. They charged the full amount before the work was done 4. They did not send me invoice or notification after the charge was made - I had to find out when I saw the charge on my credit card. I consider Black Lion a business disorganized, and unethical in its pricing and charging practices. Would NOT hire them again!

Worked with Greenwood Heating and Air on a furnace replacement and only have excellent things to say about the company and team. Customer service, pricing, timeliness, thoroughness, and friendliness were top notch. Contacted them initially for an inspection of our 28-year old furnace. The technician Frej was prompt, thorough, and courteous, explaining in detail the issues we might face with this still working but old units. Based on the findings we reached out for a quote on a system replacement. Lori took diligent care in listening to our concerns and hopes for a new system, recommending systems that might work for our household. She was always available for follow-up questions, providing answers that really helped us decide on getting a new system (Trane XC80 furnace with air scrubber) via Greenwood H+A. Prices were fair, on par with expectations and quotes from other businesses. On the day of the install, the team at Greenwood H+A, including Jake, Jordan, and Jason were very flexible, coordinating with the roofing company we had hired to take down our chimney and replace with a vent, to get the project moving on time. They were all very communicative, which we appreciated, and gave us regular updates on the progress. They finished what seemed like a big job within the day, despite the install occurring in our cramped crawl space. Our house is now toasty warm again with a great new furnace and all the bells and whistles. Would definitely recommend them for similar job, including for custom requirements as was our case with the roof. Thanks!
