Pellet & Wood Stove Repair Near Ashburn

Did a very thorough and complete job cleaning the stove. I had maintained the stove myself for 20 years but decided to have it professionally done. He was able to make adjustments to the combustion fan and auger motor which helped with some issues I was having. I plan to use his services again.

M & S is very professional, courteous, and fair. They came out and resolved issues that were caused by a contractor that was of no fault of their own. M & S was contacted at 8 pm and responded out to our home at 8 am the next morning. M & S work was outstanding. They are a fair and honest business, and will not charge you until you are 100% satisfied.

Delivery of the stove and it's installation were two separate appointments. In both cases the workers were on time, professional and knowledgeable. The installation team did a very good job (I'm always extra worried when I have workers putting holes in the side of the house) and I have no complaints. I also very much appreciated the installer spending about half an hour with me after installation while he taught me how to use, clean and maintain the stove.

Very clean, prompt, and thorough. They showed up on time, went to work, and took before/after pictures of what they did. The cost was very reasonable and I will use them again in the future.

I did comparison shopping at three other local firms selling wood/pellet stoves. Visited the shop and found that Glover offered a broad selection, had numerous floor models (larger than the local competition) and offered the best price on the hardware, pellet fuel and labor. Salesman was extremely knowledgeable and was willing to bargain. Saleman visited my home to personally assess my needs, fireplace compatibility and to finalize the estimate. Ascertained that the firm has substantial business in Prince William County and can be relied on for service and repair. Professional crew installed both pellet stove inserts and thermostats, tested the inserts and cleaned up before departing.

Alan is great! One could not ask for a better or more professional person. I have used him for several years for annual cleaning and maintenance inspection of my pellet stove. He is there when he says he will be there and returns phone calls when you leave a message. He arrives on time and never gives the feeling a rushing the work. Alan is extremely thorough and detailed in his work. He is EXTREMELY careful not to make a mess in the house and goes over and above to control dust and dirt. I cannot say anything more better about this gentleman or his company. I would highly recommend his services.

We weren't very happy with them. I didn't feel like I got the best price. The unit that we purchased didn't heat as well as we were assured it would. I don't feel like we use our pellet stove that much but it requires a thorough annual cleaning. We have to have them come out to clean it. The system itself is problematic too. For the amount of money we spent, it wasn't the best system as we were told it was. When we mentioned we had a problem with the system shutting off, a worker spent an hour dismantling the unit, only then asking me where was the electrical outlet it plugged into. That tech quoted me a price to replace all these different parts. We disputed it. They sent the original tech that installed the unit out to take a 2nd look; he cleaned the unit and it began working again.

I used them for a Pellet stove. They sell Gas, Wood, and Pellet stoves. The company is horrible to deal with. Their reps are lousy and push what they sell rather than what you need. I learned this only with 2020 hindsight. They scheduled an inspection to review what I might need and never showed up. What is worse when I called to check on the status they did not even have my appointment on the books. The price is the same as anywhere, and they give no discounts. I can not get a call back and even when I do get through I got the run around on when the product would be in or when they can perform service. They might look good but save yourself the time and hassle use someone else. Dare I say it even Lowes would have better customer service than these guys. They rest on their namesake. Maybe 10 yrs ago it was a good business but I would not use them today?

Wonderful! Dan is absolutely the best and a great guy! He has very high standards and it easily shows in everything he does. I've been a long term customer for several years now. The cost would have been a little bit more, but he slipped in a discount because we had to reschedule a couple times, once due to super storm Sandy, and lack of electricity. I'll make that up to him next time! Aside from yearly maintenance for this review, FYI, he modified my family room fireplace with a Pellet stove insert about 5 years ago now and he comes out every year for maintenance. I was so pleased with the Pellet stove that I had him come back a couple of years ago and place a freestanding gas fireplace in the living room. The company he recommended for placing the new gas line for that fireplace was amazing as well. There are only positive things to say about Advanced Chimney Solutions, and one of maybe two or three home services companies that I confidently recommend to others..

Roland was very thorough from beginning to end. Our new stove works great and we couldn't be more pleased. I highly recommend Roland and will be calling him again. Good work at a fair price. He charged and did what he said he would. It's been a coupe of weeks now, it's been highly used, and no complaints.

The person who scheduled the appointment seemed extremely professional and efficient. The technician did a nice job cleaning out the pellet stove and didn't make a mess of the surrounding area which is incredibly easy to do. We had been having problems with the fire pot overloading--the auger would just keep adding pellets no matter what the temperature setting and overload the fire pot to the point that it would completely overflow if we weren't constantly watching it. The tech gave us several ideas for controlling the rate of pellet release and burn. The problem was that we had already tried all of his suggestions, told him so, and he just left it, insisting that the stove was in perfect working order. The cast fireback was also cracked into multiple pieces so we asked if he had or could order a replacement for us. He said that having a cracked refractor was no big deal--despite the fact that hot flyash was building up BEHIND the fireback--but that he would order a new one for us and call us when it came in. We never heard from him again. We will keep using this company simply because they are the only company that works on the brand of pellet stove we have in our region. We are a captive consumers.

The guys showed up on time and were prepared for the install. The company was having trouble with their gas subcontractor and we waited quite a while for one to show up. They did as much as they could before the gas guy got there and then got right to the install once the gas line was capped and out of the way. They did a great job! They completely encapsulated the back of the stove with a foil covered insulation which helps considerably with drafts. They finished the job in the time they allotted and WOW does it look great. I was very impressed with them and their professionalism. The stove does a great job heating my house and I look forward to paying the propane man less this year!

I used the Google reviews when I chose Priddy to work with and I wish I had checked Yelp before making what was ultimately a poor decision. Yelp’s reviews are more indicative of the experience I had. My advice is to not use this company for more than a chimney cleaning. Right off the bat, it's really expensive for work that is good but not good enough for the price. More importantly, dealing with this company has been the worst experience I have had with a company, I think, ever. They started out great, very responsive and helpful until I paid my deposit and committed to the work. The workers were supposed to arrive between 8AM - 10AM which didn't happen at all, they were arriving between 11 and as late as 1:30PM and leaving by about 3 - 3:30. Twice they failed to arrive at all, no phone call from anyone, they just didn't show up and when I called I was told the main worker called in sick but no one thought to call me. What was supposed to take a week dragged out to close to 3 weeks because at one point they sent the workers to another job. The "project manager" Hind, didn't show up at all during the install, despite telling me she'd be here frequently to check how things were going, I saw her once, at the end. Then they sent me a "final bill" and once that was paid, they sent me another "final bill" and when I asked what it was for they just kept emailing the invoice. Finally, they said I had not paid for the actual stove which ended up being a blessing in disguise. Why? Because they sold me a stove that I can not get logs for - standard sized logs are 16" and the stove they sold me only takes 12". When I called around the city to find 12" logs no one cuts them that size and finally one of the vendors told me that it is very expensive to alter their equipment and since so few people need non-standard sized logs they don't cut them and that is why I can't find them. Maybe someone, somewhere would do it but I'm guessing at twice the price. So, I told Christine and Hind at Priddy to come and get the stove because I wasn't going to pay for a stove that I either needed to use a chop saw to cut the logs or hire someone else to do it - not an easy or cost effective solution. I've never owned a wood stove so I relied on these over-priced "experts" for information and guidance and they should have explained, when they RECOMMENDED this wood stove, that I would not be able to use standard logs for it and I would not have bought it. In fact, it was actually the ONLY stove they recommended so it's not as if I would have noticed the specs and asked, why does this one say 12" logs and this one 16"? When I sent them an email telling them about this problem, I didn't get an apology or even an immediate call back, in fact the first call back I received after I sent my email was about 2 weeks later and when I told her I was right in the middle of a meeting and to call back, it took her another 3 weeks to call me again. When she did, again no apology for what they'd done, just a demand that I pay for the stove and when I said come and get it she responded with, "it doesn't work that way." Okay well don't come and get it but I'm not paying for it. Maybe in her world, it doesn't work like that but in my world when you are sold a product that is unusable or when you are not satisfied with a service you don't pay, you send it back and you never use that company or service again.

There was a mix up on the date of service--they came a day earlier than scheduled. However, we hadn't left for the day yet so it worked out. Efficient and professional work. It's a dirty job but there was no soot or debris left behind. They showed us what the chimney looked like before they cleaned it. We have had chimney cleaning done before but no one has offered to show us before and after the work was completed. They also replaced our 30 year old chimney cap for a small price. Gave us tips and what we should do as far as sealing the outside of the chimney. Didn't try to up sell us at all like other companies have. Definitely will use them again.

We are very happy in our renovated house! The crew was hard-working, punctual, responsive to my comments and suggestions, and very good at paying attention to detail. The woodwork was especially fine. Since it was such a complicated job, we had some scheduling back and forth, but my calls were always acknowledged. I felt I was in capable, trustworthy hands throughout. Doug was forthright about the gas lines in my 80+-year-old home and we compromised with gas fires and wood-burning stoves in fireplaces, that look very nice. I feel this is a company that stands by its work and its word. We were all so pleased with the kitchen that Caroline, the designer, had it professionally photographed for the Graves website.

They are excellent. They are in this area, in the North of Virginia. They are basically the only people that have Pacific Energy's wood burning stoves, which is a Canadian Company. They are really responsive. They are very good with contacting us back and forth deciding what stove we needed, what are requirements were. The price is right in there with what Pacific Energy website says that people should be charging for the stove. And, since they don't do installation, they recommended a number people. We were so happy with the first one that we did that we're installing a second one and that was this past week that we contacted them for the second one. They are highly recommended. They have great people and great service.

Well. It went well. The service men appeared on time or early and efficiently cleaned the stove insert and the chimney.

I spoke with Bobby about taking care of some wall repairs we needed. We had to remove exhaust venting for a pellet stove that we did not want to use anymore. There was an exterior wall with vinyl siding on it and an interior wall with dry wall that needed repairing. He was very professional and friendly. He provided a reasonable estimate on the work and completed the job in one day. Cleaned up after the work was done. We are impressed with the high quality of craftsmanship he did overall. When it came to matching up the siding color and making the replacement parts fit into the repair area he was fantastic. We are very pleased with the work done by Bobby. Will definitely hire again!

.This was one of those "our water heater is leaking all over the floor and we need a new one now" kinds of situations. We looked up water heaters on Angie's List and they were highly recommended. They even had a coupon for Angie's List members. We had been thinking that our water would be the next appliance to get replaced, but we were not expecting to do it so soon. We had been looking at heat pump water heaters because our wood stove is in the basement and that is the hottest floor in the house. We knew that a heat pump water heater made sense for us. Not only did they have the heat pump heater we wanted available, but they were knowledgeable about them and installed our new one the next day. Colin and Cameron, who did the install were great! They took out our old water heater and installed the new one. They took the time to discuss the placement options with me and even had a great idea about where we could put a vent to let the heat pump take advantage of all that wood stove heat better.

Full installation of a heat pump system and a mini split system in our 1970s remodeled house with new addition. Complicating matters, we did not have duct system so that was added as well. the heat pump system was on the upper floor and the mini split for the bottom floor. We also have a wood stove and Abe designed the system to take advantage of the wood stove's output to circulate air through the first floor. The design was well done. We spoke with many companies for this as we were doing the addition ourselves. Abe was the most knowledgeable as well as the most cost effective. He knew these systems inside and out and selected the best approach to retrofit our home. The fujitsu system selected for the moni split far exceeded expectations. I m familiar with Mr Slim's but on Abe's recommendation for cost savings and performace, he was right on This occurred one year ago. We could not be happier with the outcome. Abe's installation team was very professional. Out of all the contractors on our addition build, Abe's crew was by far liked the best by my wife who was here all day during the build.
