Very good experience in dealing with Creative Energy. They gave an excellent price to begin with so I didn't have to negotiate pricing and they also provided helpful insight in drawing up an excellent design. Work was meticulous, they cleaned up well after completing the project. The only issue I had was the project extended well into 3 months, wish it could have completed sooner so that I could have enjoyed the deck that summer it was built. Other than that I would definitely recommend then for any future projects.

Project: New Windows - Multiple
This contractor should be out of business and is probably close to it at this time. When I finally got them on the job the work seemed to go fine until other projects took a higher priority and I was left with one guy trying to install 18 windows by himself. Repeated calls to the owner, who never returned messages for days or weeks brought the project to 90% complete. The workers then demanded full payment even though the work was not done. I was threatened by them and even told they would put a lien on the house if I did not pay. 6 months later I have to hire another contractor to finish the job. DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!!

Chosen based on low bid and your recommendation; need to improve on- job supervision and coordination; had to re-do some work because they didn't replace agreed plywood and had to add drip metal and gutter screening out of sequence, adding to time and cost-I don't think they made much profit on job, but in the end the work was good.

Who wants to spend time thinking and worrying about their roof? I don't and I appreciated how all of the pre-approved vendors from ServiceMagic provided thorough, fast, and easy quotes. A few samples and quotes later, I made a decision and did not have to worry further. My roof was installed about a week later in just a few hours. They left no mess or damage and ensured I was happy with their work once they finished. No need to think about my roof again for another 20 years!

Our experience was fair: Pros: Cost was good, and Desmond, the foreman who did the work was honest, knowledgeable, and did a very good job. Cons: Our communication with the company was poor. Things we informed the estimator about (Phillip) were not communicated to the person who handled the project (Jose). They ended up starting 3 weeks late because they didn't understand what county we lived in, resulting in permit delays. Jose didn't handle concerns well resulting in further inspection delays, and did not always have the supplies ready for Desmond--further delays. Desmond should be running the show...or given a bonus.

The actual work was extremely good and I am very satisfied. I did experience some problems with scheduling and coordination. There were severe weather issues that precluded the job from being started according to the original schedule but I did have some problems with getting phone calls returned and being kept appraised on exactly when the job would start.

Roof installation was great. Only problem is that they failed to install a cricket by the chimney even though this was specifically discussed and provided for in the contract.

We hired Creative Energy back in April but didn't have the windows installed finally until late July. I paid the deposit in April and called in early June because I still hadn't heard from them. Long story short - they had every excuse in the book.. order was lost, window company merged with another, an office move, etc. etc. etc. Which really would have been okay if only we would have been kept in the loop. They used great installers and I like the windows. Of course, we have some follow-up work and warranty information that I am still waiting for. I'll have to call again!
