Contracted Heath for a major basement remodel in a multi-generational home which was completed in 6 months despite COVID-19 restrictions and shipping delays of material and fixtures. Heath was able to follow my floor plan to renovate an awkwardly finished basement with structural limitations and turn it into a quasi apartment that met building codes. The renovation includes cork flooring throughout, an ADA compliant 1 bedroom en suite with heated tiled flooring, curbless tiled shower and toilet/bidet both with grab bars; a tiled 1/2 bath - laundry with toilet/bidet; open living room/dining room/kitchen multi-use space with a Heath designed table top that folds away into an IKEA cabinet; an office with a storage loft; and a gym with an attached deck. All construction was completed without COVID-19 contraction, cost overages and overly prolonged delays. Heath has a lot of construction experience and savvy; he is meticulous to detail, and used these qualities to improve my design goals to create a living space that would accommodate our physical needs as we age. In my professional life, I have had to hire general contractors for major construction projects. Heath has been the most honest, detailed general contractor I have ever hired. He used workers and subs that performed at his high standard and he personally made sure their job was done right and timely. He maintained communication with me throughout the project and all revision decisions were made mutually while staying within budget. Should there be a need to hire a general contractor again, we will hire Heath but we expect that he will be in high demand and we may have to get in line.

Omar lives up to his promises. You can depend he will make it happen just as he said he would. The paint we desired was not available, he found it, went after it and it's now on the walls as we had hoped. He gets busy, sometimes he does get around to communicating the status of the project but you can rest assured it's moving forward and you will be happy. We had architectural drawings to transform our bedroom and hallway bathroom to a master bedroom with en-suite when requesting bids for our remodel. We went with Nikao Construction as the estimate Brandon provided was the most detailed and specific. We appreciated the transparency with Brandon's estimate as it showed his understanding of the overall job and level of effort. He also provided estimated start/finish dates in his bid, which the other contractor estimates did not have. Once work started, Brandon was able to decipher flaws in the plans and provide appropriate solutions along the way. For example, he noticed the footprint of the shower was too narrow and provided a solution during the framing phase of the project to accommodate a slightly larger shower with additional shower niche which worked out nicely. Brandon and his team were easy to work with and delivered on time. We had electrical, plumbing and mechanical permits pulled for our job. The city inspectors commented on how quickly the job was completed; i.e. turnaround for final inspections happened within one month! Brandon started our remodel prior to the pandemic, but still delivered on time. We really appreciated his professionalism and open, honest communication. Thank you for helping us transform our home!

Everything went right from the beginning. The techs from M&W arrived on time, are friendly and respectful. I showed them the project and they went to work. They identified a problem that could have ended my project. The customized product I purchased was too large for the opening. Most importantly, they had a solution. I approved and a short time later it was complete! I am so grateful that I chose M & W and would recommend their highly proficient professionals to anyone who wants a great job done at a fair price.

Once again Hillhouse Construction did the job to perfection. What started out as redoing the baseboards turned into adding matching trim on all windows and doors and painting the doors and jams white to give the home a more updated look. I am so HAPPY with the work and I really enjoy showing it off to friends and family!

Artem (Art) Savenko did a wonderful job installing a new kitchenette. I was impressed with his responsiveness and professionalism. At the beginning, he provided me with drawings of the project that detailed exactly what I wanted. While he worked on the kitchenette in Portland, I was in So. California. He kept me well informed while he worked on the kitchen. In addition, he is very neat & honest. I interviewed 5 contractors and I was happy I chose Art. I highly recommend Art. Filip recently remodeled my bathroom. From the first quote through the finishing details, Filip exceeded my expectations. We had an unusual project to replace a collapsed front deck, install a boardwalk and a new set of stairs to be one cohesive entryway to our front door - and to ensure it complemented existing stonework. We hired Monogram after interviewing others and Monogram impressed us with that they build there own cabinets, so the cabinets are truly custom cabinets and that was very important to us, we didn't want pre-fab particle board.
Stephanie challenged us and had a verity of great ideas that we had always talked about doing and ones we hadn't thought of, but not ever having remodeled a home wasn't sure we could do.
She also took a small master bath and came up with a new design that made it seem larger without adding more footage and giving us double sinks a new shower with great lighting.
We have lived in a completed remodel for a few months now and absolutely love our new home, with renewed energy.
Stephanie designed & Eric made the kitchen we always wanted with a large black walnut island top with a live edge, a full height pull out spice rack which I now have filled, new pantry in the kitchen, a vent over the now gas stove that now vents outside, removed walls to make an open floor living space, new window treatment, new French door out to our deck, brick fireplace refaced with black sand beach granite and moving our dinning room to a location we never would have thought (giving us a great view with dinner everyday) and I could go on and on.
We touched all our rooms except two bedrooms.
Stephanie and Eric did a wonderful job for us and she listened to what we wanted and made it happen even more so.
Eric made very good quality cabinets with soft close drawers and doors, great glides on each drawer that makes them slide so smoothly even heavy drawers. Note on the cabinets; all the joints were tight and looked well put together.
Stephanie is very particular who works with her as she expects quality work. All the subcontractors were so very nice and friendly easy to work with as a customer.
I would recommend Monogram Builders LLC for any remodel. If I had an other home I would have them remodel that one too.
