AW Puma Construction & Remodeling LLCI had them build a small sunroom on back of house. We had an old deck falling apart on the back of the house. We decided to have it removed and then build a small three season space that we could enjoy for the colder months. The bathroom needed some TLC and was potentially even original or semi-original. Core Remodeling Services IncIt was a very professional experience from start to finish. It was a relatively big project. The team members were great: Corey on sales and drawings, Al as project supervisor, Joey and Gary as the main team builders throughout the project. All a great group. We were very pleased with the outcome. They were really flexible and picked up some no cost adds (matching and locating siding that ended up needing to be replaced due the old deck install, adding a swing set to the demo, etc.). Project photos are in the deck gallery on their website. This work was done from September-December 2017. Right as it ended we had a major family medical issue to respond to, so that's why our review was delayed posting. Would definitely have them back for a future project.- Ted C.

Clear Choice Home ImprovementsWe decided to replace the windows and slider from the original 2005 condo construction which were leaky and had obstructive grids (why would you want to block your window and door view of the river with ugly strips of metal?) and I had been blocking the New Hampshire cold air with the Frost King window kits for 3 years. I was determined never to do that again. That hair dryer was going back into the closet for good. We had 3 companies visit and they were the last to arrive that evening. The salesman (Mike Cullerot) was a straight shooter and explained all the features and benefits of his windows and door (OKNA products, which have great reviews from independent websites) and gave us a good price. Mike said it would take about 14 weeks for delivery, and he was right. When Vlad the Installer) as opposed to Vlad the Impaler, old joke) arrived with his team (on time as promised), he realized since our building is on a slope with no outside access to the third floor (they temporarily remove the siding which frames the old windows in order to insert the new windows), he would not be able to replace the windows, but the slider was not going to be a problem. The first thing that impressed us was his professionalism and pride in his craft. It would have been easy for him to "make it work" by trying to install from the inside in order to get the job done, but it was going to look awful and he did not want to do that. He called Clear Choice and explained the situation. They immediately removed the cost of the windows from the contract and installed the slider. Anyway, Vlad and his 2 guys did an amazing job. The slider is solid and quiet, and now gives us an amazing view of the river. NO MORE COLD AIR! As for the windows, unless Clear Choice can figure out a way to relocate our entire building, I will just hang good old insulated curtains. The beautiful slider makes up for the disappointment of the windows. It is what it is.- Amanda V.

Exact ExteriorsExact Exteriors did a great job on my house in South Kingstown. Dennis was very responsive and did a great job keeping me up to date on the schedule. He was also very detailed on his quotes and description of the work. Once work started, the crew was fast, the work was high quality. I get tons of compliments on the job from neighbors and others. Beantown Home Improvements, Inc.Had two exterior doors installed by Beantown Home Improvements. They showed up on the day promised but it was too cold to install the doors so they double checked measurements, stored the new doors under my deck and wrapped them in plastic. Returned a few days later and were able to install the new doors. Installation went flawlessly and they did a good job cleaning up. Jarred suggested using pvc trim, glad he recommended it. Doors look great and seal quite well just in time for winter. I will certainly use them again on my next home improvement project and would without hesitation recommend their services.- David J.

Real Painting & Home ImprovementWhen we decided to paint our 16-year-old house we could not be happier with our decision to go with Real Painting & home-improvement. Carlos (the owner) and his team were the best contractors we’ve ever dealt with. They started by painting a few rooms & ceilings on the interior And then moved on to paint the entire exterior. The interior came out beautiful. They moved furniture, filled holes , took down and replaced curtains. The line from wall to ceiling and ceiling from baseboard is sharp and clean. On the exterior they power washed the whole house the first day. Next they came to replace whatever rotted trim we had. After that onto the painting and what a fantastic job they did. Disaster. Forty-five days after Pella removed our windows, with 3 separate attempts (after 1 day of no-show), the job is incomplete, windows do not match, one window is defective. We cannot get a response from the installer, so we have no idea when the problems will be resolved. By contrast, we replaced 4 windows with Marvin: the job was started and completed on the same day as scheduled.

This is the second time we've had Jeff out to do work for us. He and his assistant Alex installed beautiful custom woodwork in our hallway. There were many technical challenges because we have an older house, but their deep commitment to quality work and fine attention to detail are plainly evident in their excellent job. They also took care to work very neatly, locating all of the sawing and finishing outside the house or offsite. We had an unusual project for them, and Jeff's expertise was essential in bringing it off successfully. Throughout the project, from early discussions to the scheduling the final day, our communication with him was prompt and clear. We are already planning the next series of projects to do with his services. We can't recommend him highly enough.
