    Most of the time, the term "rational" is used, it roughly means "would have worked well historically." Since history is non-ergodic, a lot of human behavior is labeled irrational because people are smart enough to know that the future will not be like the past.

    Is there a tool that lets individual investors audit/track their performance relative to a benchmark? I.e. Imagining something you could sync your brokerages account to and it would show your performance relative some common benchmarks.

    We tend to think that markets are most reacting to exogenous events like 9/11 or COVID, but you can get market-like patterns with just endogenous factors. Agents in the market updating their mental models alongside one another can create bubbles, periods of calm, etc.
