Live streams of event keynotes create a level playing field for media and analysts -- and an opportunity for some to stand out from a herd (that parrots nothings) with their analysis & commentary. Who do you follow?

I love creating Twitter lists. I created a new one of amazing people that write/talk/analyze cricket and it’s nuances. There is a reason why I call the list, SquareCuts. Only purists will appreciate the name. And of course those on the list.

Health data of 55 million patients in England will be shared with third parties, unless they opt out by June 23rd. While data availability is important for medical research, this raises serious concerns about patient privacy, consent & transparency:

At my startup, we have pivoted from a document search tool for everyone to a security product used by IT people. We've also changed our name to Nira (). The pivot got kick-started when someone used our product in an unexpected way. Here's the story…

Watching the test match alone made me miss who must be reveling in the hammering of the pommies by Devon Conway. I am a big fan so these two games are cheering them on. Not so much for WTC

I confused by cricket writers complaining about too much cricket for the sake of money. All modern sport is about the money. Viewers want it. Broadcasters profit from it. Players get paid. Even writers get paid as have more to write 😉 thoughts

Meh (BTW, ran the Topix news aggregator from 2007-2019). News is always a weaponized narrative loosely coupled with data points. This idea that things are fixed because we get to “the truth” through a magic algorithm is just a confection.

If you loved Aperture, then you are going to appreciate this. I found it particularly effective on the new iPad Pro. A full review in time. & Raw Power are great indie apps for photographers. Highly recommend all three.

Great software doesn't have to cost an arm & a leg. It doesn't need a subscription. Raw Power (for iOS & Mac) by is one of the best applications I have used for processing & editing photos. It is fast & for fast workflows. It is the work of ex-Apple.
