Its creation is part of the development of Sectorial Strategic Plan for Internationalisation as the key to fulfilling the mission undertaken by the University of Alicante, and the aims stated by the Office of the Vice President for International Relations.
Its functions are coordinating and advising about the activities aimed at managing international and national mobility programmes of students, teachers and administrative staff, as well as the programmes, scholarships and projects of cooperation for development and solidarity.
The International Relations Office was created as an administrative structure dependent on the Office of the Vice President for International Relations and Cooperation to support and coordinate the three units comprising:
