EXCELLENT! Their sales team is professional, knowledgeable and personable. They answer all questions, and detail the entire project, so there are no surprises. I am currently awaiting permit approval so that installation may comencé.

We had a brand new Generac generator installed in August 2018. The installer recommended that we get a maintenance contract that includes 2 services each year. We signed a yearly agreement with Reliable Power Systems for $395.00 and the first visit was scheduled a few days later. The technician came out on May 22 and said that our generator had only run about 1 1/2 hours since installation and it didn't need an oil change and full tune up and that he'd do it at the next scheduled visit. A few months later our power was turned off due to FPL fixing something at the end of our street and our generator never started. There was an error code on the machine so my husband took a picture of it and cleared the code. He started the machine and it ran as it ran perfectly. I called Reliable and asked them if they could take a look at it because I was concerned there might be a problem, the man on the phone told me they would do a 27 point inspection, run the unit, turn off the power to our house, etc. and if they couldn't find anything wrong with it I would owe $160.00. When the technician arrived he told my husband that he needed to collect $160.00 in order to do anything. We have a 10 year, parts, labor and travel time warranty and Reliable knew this but insisted that we must pay. My husband didn't like the way the technician acted and told him to leave our property. We then called the office and spoke with Steve Zerante, the customer service manager. He was no help and so my husband told him he wanted to cancel the remainder of our maintenance agreement. Steve told him that he would refund $100.00 because the oil change and full tune up were already completed at the first visit and my husband agreed not knowing that they didn't do either item on the first visit. I've disputed this charge with my credit card company and have hired another company to perform our maintenance and service calls and by the way they also install generators. I've read many reviews that state people are waiting several months for a standby generator and this is absolutely ridiculous as ours was installed in 6 weeks start to finish. I'd be more than happy to pass along the information of the company that we used as they provide customer service and they aren't in the business of trying to straight out rip people off.
