Bloomberg’s Legal Department plays a critical role in supporting our businesses and operations around the world. We move quickly and thoughtfully to help address a variety of complex issues that come with being the world’s leading financial news and information company. We embody the values of our company through our award-winning pro bono program.

Our Compliance team provides coverage of Bloomberg’s regulated entities and products, including support for Bloomberg’s non-regulated products and services. We work to address regulatory issues, ensure compliance with current and developing rules and regulations, and correspond with regulators.

Our Chief Risk and Compliance Office provides risk management and information security as a service, focusing on providing and delivering value while continuing to innovate and exceed the expectations of Bloomberg’s customers. We look at the security, data privacy and operational risks that Bloomberg faces around the world and put in place a clear agenda to identify and deal with those risks before they become problems.

We drive Bloomberg’s business through our people by recruiting top talent, developing our employees, promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment, influencing organizational design and promoting operational efficiency. We use our expertise to recruit, counsel and coach managers and employees on employee relations and performance issues, process relocations and visas, participate in the performance review process, handle benefits and leaves of absence, and answer day-to-day questions regarding company policies and procedures.

We work with all things (you guessed it) financial. We help our customers and vendors with contract support, and help our colleagues with contracts, accounting services, tax compliance, accounts payable, compensation, procurement and payroll. We also work with teams throughout Bloomberg on their financial strategies, planning, accounting and reporting.
