STAAB & SONS INCThey were great! The basement radiator/baseboard heating system they installed in our basement finishing project in 2019 was very professionally done, looks great and has made a tremendous difference in making that a usable, livable space (rec area, kitchenette, bike workshop, home office, etc.). This winter (2021) we did notice that the large radiator in the basement (which was already in the house when we bought it but not hooked up) that they had installed was not heating properly. Staab sent a technician to service it and flushed it and it improved but was still not 100%. He projected that they would probably need to come back and cut a hole in the ceiling to access the piping and fix the problem. So we were anticipating calling our basement contractor to come out to do that and then have Staab come back to repair the system. Later that day, Ray the original installer of the heating system called and said to hold up and don’t cut the walls, that he thought he could figure out a solution since he did the original install. And he did! He put in another valve above an open access space in the ceiling without having to cut open the ceiling and now the radiator works great! AND he did not charge us for the repair! So I would say that Staab & Sons is a truly professional company that stands by their work and are very customer service oriented. I can highly recommend them.- Gregory G.

Phillips Heating & Air Conditioning CompanyEverything went very well. During the first sub zero cold snap of the year they repsonded promptly and kept the situation moving. They explained all of the options very well so that I knew what the options were and what were the key factors between the systems. Once I made a decision they even helped my secure a financing option as the quick repalcement was not a planned item that was bidgeted for. J Francis Company LLCJ. Francis did a mudroom addition and deck for us, and the quality of the work and materials was great. The crew was professional and polite, and adapted easily and quickly to some unanticipated issues discovered and some requested adjustments from us. They also had strong safety measures in place so that the project could be done amidst the Covid pandemic. The project management team was also very communicative, so we knew what had been completed, when issues arose, and what was planned to be done in the coming week. While the overall project cost ended up higher than expected, due in part to additional work we requested along the way, the work quality and the materials are top of the line so are worth the added cost.- SUSAN H.

Not so good. He couldn't figure out why my humidifier wouldn't work. It was something with the wiring of the furnace, but it stopped working after he left. I need to call him again, but it troubles me that he says I need all this electrical wiring work done in my house that I don't have the money for.

In October the boiler that provides both heat and domestic hot water to my house expired and could not be repaired. Climatech and one other reputable company came immediately to determine my house's heating requirements and bid on a modern replacement boiler. Climatech was substantially less expensive and they were nice enough to juggle their installers' schedule so that I could get the new system installed ASAP as I had no heat or hot water for several weeks. The new system is much quieter than the old system, is more energy efficient, heats the house better and takes up much less space in my basement. This was an expensive project but I am very pleased with the value received and the service provided.
