Sarah has a master's degree in Government from Georgetown University and a bachelor's degree in international development from McGill University.

Kaustuv Basu is a senior reporter focused on the intersection of policy and politics. He covers Congress, with a focus on the House Ways and Means and Senate Finance committees.
Basu honed his reporting skills as a crime, courts and enterprise reporter for Florida Today/USA Today Network. He has received journalism awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, the Education Writers Association, and the Florida Press Club.
He holds a master’s degree in journalism from the Annenberg School at the University of Southern California.
Cheryl Bolen
Cheryl Bolen is Bloomberg BNA’s White House correspondent, covering the administration's positions, regulatory policies, and management of federal agencies. Bolen earned a master’s degree in Communication: Journalism and Public Affairs at the American University in Washington, D.C., and has covered numerous institutions since joining the company in 1989, including Capitol Hill and the Federal Communications Commission. She is a frequent guest on Bloomberg Radio and has appeared on C-Span, CNN, and the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.
Megan U. Boyanton
Megan U. Boyanton is the agriculture policy reporter. She joined the Bloomberg Government team in January 2020. Previously, she covered the social justice and borderlands beats for Arizona PBS. Megan has bylines in USA TODAY, The Washington Times, The Arizona Republic and PinkNews, among others. She has reported abroad in England, Peru and Mexico. She earned two degrees in mass communication: a master’s from Arizona State University and a bachelor’s from Northwestern State University of Louisiana. She is a White House Correspondents’ Association scholar.
Shaun Courtney
Shaun Courtney is a transportation reporter, covering congressional and regulatory news. Shaun also reports on new technologies such as autonomous vehicles and drones. She has appeared on TV for Bloomberg and ABC’s Government Matters, and on Bloomberg and Sirius XM radio programs, among others. She was previously a student journalist with The Washington Post and the Investigative Reporting Workshop through American University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Investigative Journalism, both from American University.
Kenneth P. Doyle
Ken Doyle is the Senior Editor for Money & Politics at Bloomberg Government, reporting on campaign finance, elections and government ethics for more than two decades. He focuses on the Federal Election Commission, Congress, the courts, the Justice Department and IRS. He covered passage of the McCain-Feingold campaign law, the landmark Supreme Court case Citizens United v. FEC, and the Jack Abramoff lobbying scandal. His reporting on partisan deadlocks at the FEC won awards. He graduated from Swarthmore College and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
Loren Duggan
Loren Duggan works across Bloomberg Government's news and analysis team to deliver content that helps government affairs professionals do their jobs. Loren has extensive experience with legislative coverage, including leading analysis and news teams, and editing and authoring stories, bill summaries and OnPoints. Loren has appeared on Bloomberg Radio, the Federal News Network and at in-person events discussing legislation and public policy.
Jack Fitzpatrick
Jack Fitzpatrick covers the budget and appropriations process in Congress. He interviews lawmakers and staffers on Capitol Hill, focusing on the fiscal side of all policy areas. He has appeared on C-SPAN, MSNBC.com, Bloomberg TV and Bloomberg Radio, among others. Before coming to Bloomberg Government, he covered energy policy for Morning Consult and congressional campaigns for National Journal. He has a bachelor’s in journalism and a master’s in mass communication from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School.
Greg Giroux
Greg Giroux writes and edits profiles of members of Congress, analyzes congressional voting behavior, and contributes to Bloomberg's coverage of campaigns, elections, money in politics, the 2020 census, and redistricting. He joined Bloomberg in 2010 as an analyst with BGOV and previously worked at Congressional Quarterly, where he helped write and edit seven editions of the almanac "Politics in America.” He's calculated the presidential election returns in all 435 congressional districts. In 2011, POLITICO recognized Greg as one of "50 politicos to watch."
Paul Hendrie
Paul Hendrie is a team leader at Bloomberg Government, supervising coverage of transportation, education, agriculture, defense, and homeland security policy. Before that he was managing editor at Bloomberg BNA's Daily Report for Executives. He was previously a senior policy editor at Congressional Quarterly for more than a decade, deputy legal team leader at Bloomberg News, communications director at the Center for Responsive Politics, and an editor and reporter at The Bergen Record in New Jersey. He is a Boston University graduate with a master's from New York University.
Jodie Morris
Jodie Morris is BGOV's government contracting editor and also serves as a graphic artist for all BGOV editorial teams. She joined BGOV in 2013 and previously served as a managing editor, assistant art director, and production editor at National Journal, a production designer at National Geographic, and as communications director for two newspaper associations. She graduated from Cedar Crest College, a women's college in Allentown, Pa., with a BA in English and art, and has a master's degree in communications from Bloomsburg University, also in Pennsylvania.
Nancy Ognanovich
Nancy Ognanovich is a senior congressional leadership reporter for Bloomberg Government. A reporter who has covered Congress for over two decades, Ognanovich tracks daily movements in House and Senate legislative strategy, particularly in the areas of budget and appropriations. She also specializes in Senate coverage, tracking leaders’ agendas and floor developments.
Danielle Parnass
Danielle Parnass is deputy team lead for legislative analysis at Bloomberg Government and covers health, education, and agriculture. She also cohosts BGOV's "Suspending the Rules" podcast. Danielle previously worked at the House Financial Services Committee, Senate Finance Committee, and Congressional Budget Office doing communications, research, and analysis. She has a masters in public policy from Georgetown University and her bachelor's in journalism and government from the University of Maryland.
Andrew Ramonas
Andrew Ramonas is a reporter leading coverage of the Securities and Exchange Commission. His reporting has earned him various honors, including a Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing “Best in Business” award in 2019. He previously wrote for The National Law Journal, Corporate Counsel, legal news website Main Justice, and local news website Borderstan. He is a graduate of George Washington University.
Jonathan Reid
Jon Reid is a reporter at Bloomberg Law, reporting on tech and telecommunications policy and litigation. He focuses on the Federal Communications Commission, the Congress, and courts. He has covered the fight over net neutrality, the T-Mobile-Sprint merger, radio spectrum policy, internet access issues, and federal efforts to crackdown on illegal robocalls. He has a degree from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Katherine Rizzo
Katherine Rizzo manages BGOV's coverage of the congressional leadership, congressional investigations, elections, campaign finance,and lobbying. Her team provides primers on House and Senate activities through BGOV Cheat Sheets, and is responsible for BGOV's popular congressional profiles. She previously was the Inside Congress editor for Congressional Quarterly, managing editor of CQ Politics, and an Associated Press reporter in Washington and Michigan.
Warren Rojas
Warren Rojas is a senior reporter at Bloomberg Industry Group who covers employee benefits and executive compensation. He tracks changes to tax-preferred retirement accounts, corporate pension plans, and other employer-sponsored perks. He focuses on legislative activity in Congress, as well as regulatory action taken by the Employee Benefits Security Administration, Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, IRS, and Treasury.
Michaela Ross
Michaela Ross covers the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for Bloomberg Government. Previously, Ross covered tech and telecom policy for Bloomberg Law. She completed her B.A. at Carthage College and a master's in journalism at the City University of New York.
Heather Rothman
Heather Rothman is the news director at Bloomberg Government overseeing all of the news and analysis targeting government affairs professionals. Prior to moving to BGOV, Heather was the news director at Bloomberg BNA managing Daily Report for Executives and the data-driven journalism division. Heather also spent a dozen years covering Capitol Hill, including transportation issues, appropriations, congressional leadership and tax policy. She has a MA in political management and a BA in journalism, both from the George Washington University.
James A. Rowley
James Rowley is a veteran Washington reporter who has covered Congress, the courts, the Justice Department and regulatory agencies for Bloomberg and the Associated Press. His experience includes coverage of the Iran-Contra affair, the congressional investigations of President Bill Clinton's 1996 re-election fundraising and the 2000 presidential election recount. Currently, he covers the House and Senate leadership.

Adam Schank
Adam Schank leads Bloomberg Government's legislative analyst team. He joined BGOV in 2013 to cover health care and environmental policy after three years as an analyst for Congressional Quarterly's House Action Reports, where he covered those issues, as well as the federal budget process, appropriations, and energy development. He also analyzed federal regulations related to pollution control and utilities for CQ Legal. Schank has a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Minnesota and a master's degree from the University of Minnesota - Duluth.

Zack Sherwood is an editor, and responsible for Bloomberg Government's daily newsletter offering. BGOV's daily newsletters include the What to Know in Washington and What to Watch Today in Congress, along with daily policy briefings on the Budget & Appropriations, Defense, Health Care, Technology and Transportation beats.
Michael Smallberg
Michael Smallberg is a legislative analyst with Bloomberg Government. Previously, he was an investigator at the Project on Government Oversight, reporting on issues such as Wall Street oversight and the federal inspector general system. Michael has a bachelor's degree in history from Brown University.
Shira Stein
Shira Stein is a reporter at Bloomberg Law covering the federal public health response to Covid-19. Normally, she covers health-care policy at the Department of Health & Human Services, including drug pricing, the move to value-based care, and other major initiatives. She looks broadly at where health care is going, including how the department is interacting with the White House and Capitol Hill.
Adam Taylor
Adam M. Taylor is a legislative analyst with Bloomberg Government. He covers technology and communications, energy and environment, immigration, and judiciary issues before Congress. Prior to joining BGOV in 2015, he was in-house federal regulatory counsel for a communications company, and an associate in the regulatory group at an international law firm. Adam has a J.D. from Georgetown Law and a bachelor's degree in history and political science from Purdue University.
Roxana Tiron
Roxana Tiron is a senior national security reporter, covering the intersection of politics and defense and regularly interviews lawmakers, top lobbyists and Pentagon officials. Her work has been featured on Bloomberg Radio, C-SPAN, Government Matters and MSNBC. Previously, Tiron worked for Bloomberg News, The Hill newspaper and National Defense Magazine and reported from Kosovo, Middle East and Asia. While a Washington Center for Politics and Journalism Fellow, she worked at CNN. She holds a MS from Syracuse University S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
