Complaints

We are committed to providing a high-quality legal service to all our clients. If at any stage you are not happy with the work that we are doing for you then you should raise this with the person conducting your case. If you remain dissatisfied you should raise your concerns with their supervisor (whose name will be supplied when we first take on your case) or with one of our complaints partners, Joanna Thomson and Sarah Ricca. A copy of our full complaints procedure is available on request.

If you are unable to resolve a complaint under our complaints procedure you can make a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman, PO Box 6806, Wolverhampton, WV1 9WJ. Generally the complaint should be brought to the Ombudsman no later than twelve months after you found there was the problem with our service and within six months of you receiving a final response from us about your complaint. For further information, you should contact the Legal Ombudsman on 0300 555 0333 or at enquiries@legalombudsman.co.uk.

If we enter into a contract with you and/or you become our client of our firm by electronic means (such as by e-mail or online) then, in addition to any rights of redress you may have through the Legal Ombudsman, you may be entitled to use an EU online dispute resolution platform to assist with any complaint or dispute you may have about our services. This online platform can be found at http://ec.europa.eu/odr. You may contact us about this at our main email address: mail@dpglaw.co.uk

If you think a solicitor might be dishonest or you have concerns about their ethics or integrity, you have the right to notify our regulator, the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). There are no time limits for making a report but there are limits on what the SRA will consider. Please note that the SRA is not able to deal with issues of poor service (complaints of this nature should instead be referred to the Legal Ombudsman). For further information about the SRA’s role, please contact the SRA or visit: https://www.sra.org.uk/consumers/problems/report-solicitor.page#report
