    I did one

    4 panel Anakin Padme meme. Anakin labelled as Decision Maker. Padme as Analyst. Decision maker says "Can you do this important analysis for me?". Analyst says excitedly "And it'll inform your decision". Decision maker stares hard. Analyst says axiously "And it'll inform your decision, right?"

    Lots of sad/hard truths all-too-familiar in higher ed contained in the thread below 👇🏻

    As a mid-level administrator, at several institutions, I constantly heard the word "optics." Too many times it didn't matter what work we did, only how that work *looked, and usually only how that work looked to people not directly impacted by the work.

    Assessing Affective Learning Outcomes Through a Meaning-Centered Curriculum Encore On-Demand | Research Presentation | Intermediate, Advanced Jerry Vincent "Vince" Nix, Lan (Misty) Song, Joseph Levy, Muzhen Zhang The presentation will update research (Nix and Song, 2020) on affective-learning domain assessment. Whilst presenting at last year's AALHE2020, the researchers discovered the Griffith University Affective Learning Scale (GUALS) developed by Rogers et al. (2018). Dr. Rogers' team granted our researchers permission to utilize his rubric to deepen our affective-learning assessment efforts. This session will review the GUALS-scale, present examples forthcoming in a book chapter. This session will also expand the previous session by incorporating two additional courses' assessment data from the same cohort of online doctoral students.     I wish I didn’t identify with this energy as much as I do, but... 🥴😬🙃

    In elementary school my team lost unfairly in a game of dodgeball because the other side hit our last man standing in the head and I challenged it and our PE teacher said “In a year you won’t remember this game” and I said “What’s the date?” and he said “April 11th.” Here we are.
