Mark is a great handyman.  He has helped us fix trim on our house, repair a couple of toilets, and fix some tiles over the years.  Mark has great ideas and always delivers high quality work.  I would highly recommend him!

Incredible work. We hired them to fix the place up and paint the house as we wanted to put it on the market soon. Carlos gave us an unbelievable price, and did a fabulous job. Not only was everything better than anticipated, he even vacuumed the hose afterwards! Outright impressive.

I hired Mike from Tara Home Improvement on two occasions. First, to fix my toilet. He did a great job! Then, I hired him to fix my shower door. The cost was very reasonable for both projects, and I'd absolutely hire him again! He did a great job.

They did a great job of getting the materials, installing, and repairing the ceiling. Home gym is complete and very well done!

Tony was professional and courteous from our first contact. He assessed the needs, provided a fair estimate, and completed the work in a timely manner. The drywall repairs were outstanding and the flooring completely changed the look of the basement. Excellent! Sam and Brian were my initial contacts and were professional and helpful. Manuel H. did the repairs, was excellent, and one of the best who I have worked with. I highly recommend all of these people and this company. They do high quality work in a timely and professional manner. They are slightly more expensive than other contractors, but it is worth it given their service quality and promptness. I had nor worries or stress about my repairs once I hired them.

This is an update to the review I submitted on 9/23/2016. The flooring problem was rectified. As I said in the previous review, the owner is a very man, honest and wants to do good work. He had been seriously ill so he could not come back to repair the floor problem for a couple of months. But now he has returned and brought with him an experienced flooring guy. Hence, I am revising my original review.

Louie's team did excellent work.  Louis met me at the end of the first day (after the team had started sanding) to help select stain colors.  Unfortunately the team didn't have the color I wanted (brief miscommunication) and agreed to delay work one day to sample colors the following evening.  Once a color was selected, the team worked quickly to complete the job on schedule.  The end result was absolutely beautiful and have already received a number of positive comments on the team's work.  Although the price was about 100 or 200 more than other bids, I would certainly use Beaulieu Floors again!  Thanks to the team for such excellent work!  

The quality of work, expertise and responsiveness were outstanding, although it was a little pricey. Walter was professional and very skilled. During his initial visit, he immediately repaired a plumbing leak and put that bathroom back into service. I was impressed so I added 3 other tasks (2 plumbing fixes and one wood floor repair) to his follow-on visit to repair the damaged drywall. We were very pleased with his work and the good outcomes. We'll use My Hunny Do again!

Everything was a breeze.  Nicole came out for an estimate, and was friendly and knowledgeable.  Very laid back sales technique, and didn't try to upsell anything.  I was reminded that there could be hidden damage and any estimate could be revised once work began. An estimate was not given immediately, but was e-mailed shortly after close of business.  While, I'm used to businesses giving estimates immediately, a well thought out estimate was certainly appreciated.   Nicole said the work could be done in a day, but I'd arranged to give a few days, even though it meant waiting a few weeks for the work to be done.  There was no pressure to get the work done immediately, and they were fine with my time-table.  Richard came out, and looked everything over again.  He was quick, punctual, knowledgeable, fastidiously clean, and free with any advice.  During the work some trouble spots reared their head, and he gave me all the options, with his advice.  Some of the work was less extensive than originally thought, and they quickly revised the estimate downward.  He did come out the next day briefly to finish up the kitchen and re-caulk the shower.  I'm glad I didn't make him feel rushed, and let him take his time and do a good job. Any company that doesn't leap immediately to the option that costs more is refreshing.  He also gave advice on  how to keep my grout lasting for awhile (I apparently take out my stress and aggression on the grout when I clean the shower).  Grout Genie is low pressure, very knowledgeable, and high quality.  They are more expensive than their competitors, but well worth it, because you get what you pay for for something like this.  I will use them again!

Dominion carpeting was pretty good in the work performed in repairing the carpet, installing new carpet and fixing "squeaks" in my floors.  Joey was helpful and responsive in the work performed.  I would call them again and give them an overall B for their work.

Excellent service. Did a great job with our hardwood floors, especially repairing some remodeling work the previous owner hadn't done correctly. When there was an issue our sales rep came right over to make sure the work was fixed.

Rudy and the Kustom Floor team were awesome. I needed the floors in my 100 year old row home refinished, in addition to patching several holes left by previous remodels. The Kustom floor team did an awesome job. Not only do the new floors look great, but they were able to remove some floating floors I had in the kitchen, raise the kitchen subfloor without impacting the surrounding cabinets and install/stain new floors to seamlessly match the rest of the first floor. They also fixed some molding issues around a weirdly installed doorframe like it was nothing.

Went well. Jose and Tracy kept us informed of all repairs. Was happy that the floor was an easy fix. They were quick to respond and very accommodating to our schedule. Very pleased. Would definitely use them again. On a scale of 1 - 10 I’d give them a 10+. Thank you so much.

I used Winegar three times. The first time it was for a leaking shower valve that had given me continuous trouble for months and a bathroom toilet that would not stop flushing. Bernard fixed both problems during his hour-long visit for $205 plus parts. The second time was for a new bathroom faucet that needed to be properly installed. Bernard replaced some parts and also replaced the hot-side shut off valve, charging for 30 minutes ($123) plus parts. The third time I called was for a more serious problem: I could hear water running even when the house valve was turned off. WSSC decided the leak was on my property, so they were not responsible for fixing it, even though they warned they would cut off the water if it were not repaired within 30 days. Winegar's Jim Swingle came out two days later with a "skinny" colleague who worked his way through the cramped crawl space under the house to where the water pipe came up from the ground below the house shut-off valve. He quickly saw a half-inch hole in the pipe, probably made by an animal that had also torn off the pipe's insulation. The section of damaged pipe was promptly replaced and the problem was solved for a total of $425.

The owner of the company is just phenomenal. My floor was collapsing, and they were able to correctly identify the problem and fix it. They were polite, and professional, and cleaned up everything. I was very pleased and recommend them in a heartbeat.

They were on time and did quality work. It did not take them very long to finish the work because it was a minor repair. The floor was damaged when I had heating and air conditioning equipment installed in my basement. The guy warned me that it might smell bad a little bit because of his work on the tile, but I wished that he had told me ahead of time that there might be a smell and what it was from; anyway, it was actually not that bad. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

Rudy and his team are professional, respectful, clean, skilled, and go above and beyond in all areas. Rudy met me at my home (first appt. and on time!) and was polite and helpful. He helped me understand my options and encouraged me to go with a cost effective refinishing of my original floors, using darker stain to cover up blemishes. His team worked over a few days, and did a fantastic job. They were clean and the floors were amazing! The staining and poly coating were top notch, and I feel that the result was worth more than I paid!

We have now used Larkin 3 times and loved every single person we have come into contact with. The first time we learned of Larkin, we had horrible leaking from the snow storm and damage to two of our bedrooms. The neighbor gave me their number. I left a message and received a call back within 15 minutes. From then on, it was nothing but an absolute pleasure to work with this company. They replaced our damaged roof and fixed extensive damage to my kids bedrooms. They helped with everything from replacing the drywall, to painting and carpet. They worked fast and we felt like a priority- even though I know they must have been inundated with calls bc of the amount of snow damage in the area. We then called them back to fix our deck and a few other repairs and again received timely and quality service. Every single person we dealt with was an absolute pleasure to work with. I would and already have recommended this company to anyone who asks.
