The estimate included replacing a sheet of drywall but when the workers came they said they could repair the ceiling with just the drywall composite material and did not use the sheet of drywall we had purchased. They did a very good job repairing the ceiling but since it didn't need to have drywall removed and replaced it could have been a one man job and we were charged for two men for the number of hours they were here, thus the poor grade for pricing.

It was a tough job. I had already done some wainscoting and will wood wall, finished it and wanted to make sure that they covered everything well to save me time later. There was some added complexity for where the seams would meet. I could not be more pleased with the work. It was great. Seams are perfect with the wood. Could not have asked for a better job. wanted some soundproofed drywall for the ceiling. This did not turn out as well as I had hoped. They added a premade double layer of drywall rather than the purple drywall to deaden sound. Still for the cost and experience of the crews, this job was great. I'd give it an A- or B+.

They showed up on time, installed new furring strips and put down a moisture barrier. They then installed the new drywall and painted where the new drywall was installed. Halls Drywall came out and provided a professional typed proposal to "swirl our ceilings." Our original drywall job was not perfect. It actually was awful. So we thought we would have the ceilings textured to hide the imperfections, Instead of typical texturing we had them do a swirl pattern that looks awesome. They kept the house as clean as it could be..Drywall is messy stuff but they did cover the floors and the furniture. I would not hesitate to recommend Halls Drywall and Painting.

Recent Review: I had waterproofing done on a finished basement, so the drywall had to be repaired. The waterproofing removed the lower 2 ft of drywall along two walls, approximately 13' and 10'. I needed the work done quickly which is why I called Michael & Sons. I think they are a bit more expensive but they met my expectations, which was to do a quote quickly, schedule quickly, and perform quality work that was guaranteed. Once they finished the drywall work they painted the walls. I got paint to match the existing color and they painted and patched nicely. I would use them again in a pinch, but if I have more time and flexibility I prefer to find smaller companies and save a little money.
