Top Heat Pump Repair in Ashburn

I noticed the fan on my heat pump was not turning late on a Saturday, a weekend it was 100 degrees. I shut the air conditioning system off and came on Angie's List to find someone to come out to fix it. Among the possibilities Sweet Spot called me immediately and had someone at my house the next day, Sunday early afternoon. They arrived promptly, fixed the problem and the charge was more than reasonable. Very nice, very professional. Would definitely call them again.

We have a Heat Pump A/C Unit that is 24 years old. Over the past several years, we have been having issues with air circulation and system freeze-ups. Two year ago we were told that the blower was bad and ended up paying over $600 dollars to have it fixed/replaced. When I commented about the lack of increased air flow after the change, I was told that our unit was old and we would need to get it replaced if we wanted anything better. The following year, we had a different company come out to look at it. Before even looking into the unit, we were once again told that our system is old and should be replaced. After looking at it for 20 minutes, the technician said that there was nothing wrong and we just need a new system. The charge for his time was over $250 dollars. When explaining the issue with a co-worker, they suggested I have the owner/operator (Rob) from Creators of Total Comfort Mechanical come take a look at it. That afternoon I gave Rob a call and was able to schedule an appointment quickly and on my schedule (a refreshing change!). The service was nothing short of amazing. Rob spent several hours explaining how the entire system works and answering every question I could think up. He looked over the entire system and said that everything seemed to be in order but agreed with me that the airflow was low. He then went above and beyond what every other provider has done in the past. He started looking through the ductwork from the blower into the house. He found that two squirrels had made their way onto the emergency heater within the ductwork (I won’t go into the unpleasant details). This caused our fire damper to close and cut off airflow to the house. Did I talk about cost? For his 5 hours of time, we were charged $180. Yes, $180 dollars!! ($30 of which was for a new fire damper lock). Instead of pushing a new unit at us, Rob took the time to diagnose the real issue and solve it. You just don’t find service like this anymore. When our unit does need replaced, I know that Creators of Total Comfort will be my first call.

From the initial call, initial visit/diagnosis, to the follow-up repair, service was top-notch! We used Woody’s before so when my Heat Pump system failed this time, I immediately called them and was not disappointed. The receptionist was very polite and professional as was Steve, who serviced our Air Handler. He found the problem quickly, ordered the new part, and installed it the next day. The price was very reasonable. Top grade for Woody’s again!

Our heat pump stopped working late on a cold winter night. Within 8 hours after calling Fire & Ice, they had a temporary repair to get the heat back on. Within 48 hours, with a new control board in hand, they had a permanent repair. Even though they weren't the ones who installed the original system, and even though this was an emergency, they cheerfully honored the manufacturer's parts and labor warranty. Even though we had never used Fire & Ice before, the service manager, Kal, came on his day off after dark to personally make these repairs.

We've used them for decades. They are beyond belief they are so good. This time, they had to order a part, but they came out as soon as it came in. This was covered under warranty, so there was no charge. Everything they get is an A. They are so good! We've had our whole house system replaced twice by them because we've been in our house for 26 years. They are just unbelievably good. Their people are very personable, helpful, professional. They're not enough superlatives for them. They're always so good and have been since we've been using them.

The service provider repaired a defective part on my heat pump system. He warned us the system may be on its way out but we did not have to replace it at this time. The service was prompt and effective.

Edwin and his associate were excellent, and I plan to have them come back in October to prepare my system for winter.

I cannot say enough about the professionalism, expertise and integrity of this company, and particularly their technician Brad. The prognosis from the first company that we contacted was that our system had to be replaced. Seeking a second opinion, we had Millies come out to review the equipment. Brad found the solution to our problem and really helped us evaluate whether this repair would be worth it to make vice a replacement (and it was!). He was knowledgeable and patioent. Our experience with this company was great from the moment they picked up the ohone. Thank you Millies.

The owner, J.C., came out the same day and was very quick to identify the problem. He repaired it quickly. J.C. was very professional. I would call him again if I have an HVAC problem.

I called them at 10AM with a heat pump that was not working. They arrived at 11:30, diagnosed the problem very quickly, went out to find the part and came back and replaced it by 2PM. They were prompt, professional, reasonably priced, and courteous. They took care of the part under warranty. I would definitely use them again.

They did a great job. Quickly figure out what was wrong and completed the repair. Will go back to them first when I need AC work again.

My 14 year old heat pump stopped cooling yesterday. I called A-1, recommended by a neighbor, for an estimate to replace entire unit since it had been serviced by another company within the last month and I figured it had reached the end of its life span based on my experience over the years. Pablo, while preparing his estimate, checked the outside unit and concluded by the noise it was making that my problem might be as simple as replacing the capacitor which I agreed to. He replaced the capacitor, the unit is now working and I have an estimate in my hands. A-1, based on my positive experience with Pablo, will be seriously considered when replacement is necessary.

These guys are the best AC company I have used in the past 25 years. Always seem to give me the highest quality service for the best price.

Interior heat pump unit was leaking. Biddle's sent someone out as soon as they could. They located the source of the problem in a defective pump and replaced the pump. This wasn't as easy as it might seem: the unit was a replacement, and, as with many replacements, it had been put in a space meant for a smaller unit. This made the job more complicated. I was afraid a portion of a wall would have to be removed for access. However, the crew worked very hard to avoid that. Excellent job, full clean-up. The crew let me know exactly what they were doing.

Excellent service, reasonably priced and quick scheduling. A qualified Lennox service provider (compared to the clowns that installed the original unit), quickly diagnosed and corrected two problems with central heating system.

Came downstairs one morning to find our thermostat had no power and the heat pump wasn't working. Our home warranty company directed us to Residential Systems, Inc. I left a voicemail and received a call back in less than 30 minutes. They sent someone out that afternoon who replaced the fuse and everything was working well until I adjusted the heat a few hours later. Again, no thermostat display and no heat. I called them immediately and they were going to send the same guy out, but then they called me back and said they wanted to send a more experienced tech out based on the issue we were having. Unfortunately that meant waiting until the next day. The second tech determined there was a short in the defrost board and said they'd need to order the part. In the meantime he switched the thermostat to Emergency Heat which we ran for 4+ days until the part came in. Both techs and office staff were responsive, professional, and respectful of my time (calling when a tech was on the way). My only complaint is that I was told the office would call me to follow-up about ordering the part and also to let me know when the part came in so they could schedule a time to install it. I ended up having to call the office both times, but again they were responsive and helpful. Overall I was impressed with this company and based on this experience would contact them again for HVAC issues.

Mirko is the absolute best HVAC professional I have ever worked with. I had been on a regular maintenance contract with another HVAC company - who charges by the hour - and the person they sent out spent 4 hours working on the heating unit and still had not deduced what the problem was. At that point, we parted company, and I went searching for a new HVAC company . Due to Mirko's excellent Angie's List rating and comments, I gave him a call. He was incredibly responsive, and fit me into his schedule within the next day. In very short order, he determined what the problem was, and ordered the appropriate part. The part came in very quickly, and he installed it, and the heater has been working great ever since. In addition, he is personable and gracious, especially when I forgot the date of our next appointment! I would not hire anyone else but him for all future HVAC work.

My tenants reported that the heat wasn't working so we called Mannix to check it out. Bill came out and checked both the inside and outside components, found the problem, and called me to explain what the issue was. He was very professional and timely and even gave me a couple of tips on how to keep my unit clean and keep it in good working condition outside of the regular maintenance schedule. As a follow up, he recommended I have Mannix come back out a month or two later to ensure that the problem was fixed at no charge. Overall great experience and wonderful customer service. Emailed Dan Todd that night and got a reply within an hour, a promise of a 2-hour window first thing the next morning. Responded on time, arrived on time, fixed the problem very quickly and provided maintenance tips. Very professional and fast...no problems since!
