  • Magnolia Home Remodeling Group

We worked with Chris from Magnolia on a second floor remodel and were extremely happy with the process and results. The reno included demolition, framing for new roofline and dormers, roof and gutters, siding, new master bathroom, master closet, laundry space, wood floor and stairs, doors, millwork, tiling, masonry for a chimney extension, windows, and central air system. Chris is a great guy, very easy to work with it, trustworthy, and responsive. He hires skilled subcontractors and kept the reno moving at a good pace. There were no surprises with either the budget or scope of work. Magnolia made our dreams come true with this reno and we would definitely recommend them for your job.

Moose and the team at Complete Heating and Cooling / Complete Construction were excellent to work with. 3 business days after signing the contract equipment is on-site and installing the header units. A day or two after that (mainly due to weather) the condenser was installed. The HVAC had to be charged and with any other contractor a homeowner would be thinking "when is he coming back?" - I didn't have to chase them down they came to me and within a day they setup a time to come and charge the units up ensure there were no leaks. Very professional and I look forward to future projects as they cover a vast array of construction areas.

  • Arctic Air Conditioning

Lenny and his crew installed a new Lennox furnace for us. The team is courteous and professional. Lenny found that our old humidifier was installed at the wrong place because of the difficult duct work. He went above and beyond his responsibility and installed the new humidifier at the correct position. I greatly appreciate his honesty and utmost professionalism. It is no wonder that his company gets consistently high reviews.

They responded within hours. Needed to order parts. The parts were located first thing Monday morning and the repair was completed early Monday afternoon. Since it was an emergency, no heat in the winter, I was unable to obtain several estimates.

  • Arctic Air Conditioning

Replaced furnace, A/C, and water heater with energy-efficient equipment. Air sealed the attic and added additional insulation. Very easy to work with and did a nice professional job. They wore booties and made sure to clean up everything before leaving. I am quite satisfied with the quality of work, though the township inspections are not complete at the time of the review. The state program is quite good and one can get a rebate of up to $4k, plus you will be saving on your utility bills. Most importantly, our house feels quite comfortable and the heat doesn't turn on that often as it used to.

HVAC Service in New York City

Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) repair is one of the least glamorous jobs in the home. Installing a new 15 SEER air conditioner, after all, doesn’t sound nearly as exciting as finishing a kitchen remodel. But if you lose heat during a New York winter, or if you can’t stay cool in the summer, you’ll need to pause other projects and call an HVAC pro right away.

The most sought-after service on Angi:

Members search for New York City tri-state area HVAC repair so frequently, it ranks as our most requested service in the country. The number of contractors serving the tri-state region reflects that need. Nearly 13,000 local HVAC professionals help members maintain a comfortable home.

Looking for a customer-oriented heating and air conditioning contractor?

Our first review for an HVAC contractor in the greater New York City area dates back to 1995. That places tri-state heating and air conditioning specialists among the longest-serving contractors on Angi. More than 20 years’ worth of reviews means you can make a well-informed choice. The best contractors stand out not only by garnering positive reviews, but also by winning the Angi Super Service Award. Out of our more than 1,600 area professionals who received the award in 2016, nine were HVAC contractors.

Do you need emergency HVAC service?

Numerous heating and air conditioning companies in and around New York City offer 24-hour service, so you’ll be able to find an HVAC pro right away even if it’s an inopportune time.

Hire only licensed HVAC professionals

Many jurisdictions, including New York City, require HVAC contractors to hold proper licensing in order to work. If you live in the city, look up your potential heating and air conditioning contractor on the city’s online licensing database. If you live outside of the city, check your state and municipality requirements.

Angi Certified Service Provider program

The Angi Certified Service Provider program allows you to hire an HVAC professional with even more confidence. To qualify for this annual certification, service providers must complete integrity steps ranging from passing background checks to submitting proof of licensing directly to Angi.

What makes a good HVAC pro?

Getting the job done right, on time and for a fair price. Adhering to such standards has made Hudson Plumbing, Air Conditioning & Drain Cleaning in Hawthorne, New Jersey one of our most well-reviewed HVAC companies in the tri-state area.
