Ceyda Sayalı, PhD

Post-Doctoral Research Fellow

Ceyda completed her PhD at Brown University researching motivation and cognitive control with a focus on the neural mechanisms underlying cognitive effort avoidance. Upon completing her PhD, she joined the Motivational & Cognitive Control lab at Donders Institute for Cognitive Neuroimaging in the Netherlands. There, she investigated the conditions under which cognitive effort might be intrinsically valuable (e.g. “flow” states). In her postdoc at CPCR, she aims to understand the effects of psychedelics on brain function and motivated cognitive control.
