    Totally agree with Miriam that each article is worth a read! I think suspension may serve as an entry point for us to reflect on recent discussions on involution 内卷 and lying down 躺平 as the future-driven and goal-oriented mode of living may no longer sustain.

    Honoured to be part of this special issue on suspension, or 悬浮. It offers a fascinating glimpse into Chinese society through the lens of mobility and migration. Each article is worth a read!

    What is troubling is how this niche market not only capitalize on students' needs to have fancy extracurriculum activities for college app, but also phrase it as "global citizen development," "helping the disadvantaged." Peak "progressive neoliberalism" indeed.
