Code2040’s Next Journey in Leadership

We have big news to share! Code2040 is starting the next chapter of our journey as we welcome Mimi Fox Melton as our new CEO.

After six years at Code2040 and three years as CEO, our friend, and leader, Karla Monterroso, is starting a new journey in her career. Though we are sad that we won’t experience her brilliance on a daily basis, we know Karla will continue to be a force in the movement for racial equity!

Action Items!

Stay at home so that we stay healthy and honor the health of others.

Share and re-share information and resources to make sure they reach the most at-risk and unplugged communities.

Stand with Asian-Pacific Islander communities who have had our back as we have faced police violence, xenophobia, and attempts to divide us as people of color. Let us confront racism and stop the spread of misinformation against our API comrades whenever we see it.

Reach out to each other with love, group texts, remote streaming parties, and more. Let’s pull each other closer.

Join the largest racial equity community in tech.

Code2040 is a nonprofit activating, connecting, and mobilizing the largest racial equity community in tech to dismantle the structural barriers that prevent the full participation and leadership of Black and Latinx technologists in the innovation economy. Through events, trainings, early-career programs, and knowledge sharing, Code2040 equips Black and Latinx technologists and their allies with the tools, connections, and care they need to advocate for and achieve racial equity in the tech industry.
